The scarecrow watches, the scarecrow waits.
It watches with an eerie gaze.
Waiting for the crows to take their baits.
To scare them away from the maize.

For the scarecrow walks at night,
and smiles his eerie way,
alone in the moon's pale light,
returns to post at day.

Concrete's made strong and bricks are laid thick.
Walls aren't made to tumble, boats not meant to sink.
Plaster won't always stand and rocks sometimes erode,
still we gotta do our best on this long and winding road.
