So this was a sketch for a QuickDraw contest hosted by several comic artists at Supercon. This particular sketch won the me the first round, but I failed in the second round when I had to draw StayPuff Marshmellow Man.

Rush for Hub City

So I worked on this for several days just to make sure she didn't look so GODDAMNED ugly, but I guess there really was no avoiding that, what with not having a tablet. Ever try drawing with a mouse? It's like drawing with a bar of soap. It sucks.

So this is my contribution in celebrating Barbara Gordon's return as Batgirl in September, friggin FINALLY! Batgirl along with V for Vendette was the reason I really got into Batman, and now it's the only thing that ever inspires me. Even though I was born long after Barbara's shift from Batgirl to Oracle, I still saw Barbara as Batgirl since Batman the Animated Series had promoted her as Batgirl before I even read any Batman comics.

Game Informer says DC's 52 new series is launching September 7th. Lots of good things coming out in September, and yes I am including X-Men: First Class and Thor on DVD and Blu-Ray!

Love the foreshortening. She looks fantastic, especially for something you did with a mouse. I know how rough that can be. Babs being made Batgirl again is the only thing they are doing right with the upcoming changes in DC.

Ahahah. I know. I wish Dick stayed as Batman. And I find it funny that there are 9 Batman series and only 4 Superman series.

Yeah I just don't get people who want to love Superman like crazy.

I have nothign AGAINST Superman himself I suppose, but the reason I and most others I know read superman is simple; we love the villains.

I just don't like how you could pick up ham, cheese, and a pound of kryptonite at the supermarket. It seems like everyone can get their hands on the most rarest element in the universe. I mean how else are you supposed to fight The Man of Steel if his weakness is so rare?

Yeah, ahahah. That was just supposed to be a normal zombie hand but when you spotted Zsasz's hand on Batman's #1 cover, it just sparked that little idea. Anyway, here's the drawing I said I would post today. I need to color it.
