Snow's Klepto Collection
Wikipedia wrote:Kleptomania (also spelled cleptomania) (Greek: κλέπτειν, kleptein, "to steal", μανία, "mania") is the condition of not being able to resist the urge to collect or hoard things. People with this disorder are compelled to steal things, generally objects of little or no significant value, such as pens, paper clips, tape, chopsticks, traffic cones, signs, eyeliner, mascara, drugs and small toys. Some kleptomaniacs may not even be aware that they have committed the theft.
I realized a little while ago (about a year) that picking up small, shiny things or taking paper clips and pens and such was... uncommon. So, being myself, I looked up this habit of mine to see if it had a name, like phobias do. Turns out it does.
Just so I can prove to you all that I'm not lying, here's a few pictures of my (condensed) collection.
Anything that you see that you want to comment on, feel free. I know what all of this stuff is, but I'd rather not type out anything that you can tell already. :D

I have a little box. Everything I pick up goes in my pocket; if it's money, I put it in my purse; if it's anything else, into the box it goes.

Re: Snow's Klepto Collection
Hehe I love it! When I was little I would collect bolts and nuts that I'd find, and I'd try to make things out of them. Hahaha my parents thought it was adorable until I came home one day with a condom, thinking it was a lost balloon. My hobbie ended really quickly after that hahahaa

0.0 Oh, jeeze. That had to be an interesting day in the (Charm's last name) house.
My brother says that I should keep the keys with me. Never know what they might unlock. o.O

Re: Snow's Klepto Collection
Well, the really dark one that's sort of banged up I found along the roadside, among a broken plastic bin and a lot of broken glass that went to several very pretty glass objects, I'm sure.
It sort of looks like my house key, so I think there was some sort of messy break-up that involved throwing one half's cherished memories -and house key- out the window of the car.
The larger one is probably a car key, considering it looks almost EXACTLY like the key to my dad's van. It was also found on the side of the road, but along a different stretch. Someone probably dropped it on their way to McDonald's.
The smallest one, however, likely goes to some form of padlock, so that's the one I hold the highest hopes for. :D That key-filled treasure box will be mine!

I used to do this too, until my mom told me to stop bringing thrash home. o.o
Re: Snow's Klepto Collection
Hey, not to be a buzz kill here, but Kleptomania is also often connected with obsessive-compulsive disorder, bulimia and clinical depression. So in the interest in keeping yourself physically healthy, it might be a good idea to have yourself clinically diagnosed. Those last two associated disorders can cause serious physical harm if not treated.
On the bright side, the only other kleptomaniac I've ever known stole cosmetics and change and has been fired from jobs and had to deal with the police multiple times. So hey, at least you're not stealing things other people really care about.

0.0 Really? *didn't know that*

*shuffles feet* I've been to two psychiatrists, and, though they don't usually agree with each other, they both said I was likely clinically depressed. Of course, neither of them did anything about it.
I had a huge breakdown a little while ago, just before I joined the site, actually. My dad's working on getting me checked out again.

I read that, and I was like, "How is that a bright side?"-

>.< No, those are my feet. I had to stand up to get everything in the picture. It's spread out on "my" desk, which means that I bought the desk, but didn't move my computer over there fast enough and others in my family have temporarily taken it over.

Very nice; it's pretty hard keeping all your stuff together. I used to collect movie tickets.. That is till my sister "accidentally" threw away the box they were in.
By the way, nice signature; very poetic. Now I wanna read some more of your art, so adieu
