Dawn of the Titans (Started!!)

"Used to be." Dr. Weber replied. He was getting a smug vibe from this man, and he wasn't sure whether he would be right or not. "Tell me Mr. Wade." a light gleamed across his spectacles. "What do you think about humanity?"

(Sorry!)

Blade shrugged. "Who knows any more? As suspicious as this is, just leave it alone. We aren't getting attacked, why look a gift horse in the mouth?"

"Humanity, eh? I find people in and of themselves dull, little more than stones to be trod upon." Wade replied. "Why do you ask?" He questioned. This guy had a roundabout way of getting to the point, and Wade didn't much care for that approach. He liked things more... direct.

"Well it could have somthing to do with dawn. Like at dawn they all go to sleep, so we cure them then." Kamica said. She was suprised Slade hadn't- Oh... right... She thought. "Rose, we there yet?"

"Dad's place is outside the city- we need to bust out first. I was assuming yoy had some sort of plan." Rose said, not all quite there due to her still having Wade heavily on he rmind.

"We could bust it down, or Alaska could phase through it. Get some recon done. I could fly over it... maybe. I don't want to take the chance that infected would get out. Or uninfected getting in." Kamica said. "Rose, two questions. One, why do you seem so freaked about somthing? Two, why would you think I had a plan?" The second one was ment as a joke.

"I meant Dad's place is out of town- WAY out of town." Rose said. As for being freaked, if Wade DID bust out of prison, the only guy that can beat him is swinging about the city looking for breakfast." Rose said. She left out the part where she was plain afraid of Wade beyond all reason.

Blade lingered behind Kamica and Rose, tentative to join the conversation. For now, the quiet almost soothed her wacked out nerves. She unsheathed her sword, then sheathed it. In. Out. In. Out. It was subconscious, her mind a blank as she wandered. For the first time since the zombie invasion, her mind was empty and she embraced the feeling willingly.

"Well, you really must not know me well. If we work together, we'd have a chance." She smiled, "And I never back down from a challange. Beating my one time role model's butt sounds like a challange!" Kamica turned to the group, "Anyone else with me on that?"

Rose stopped in her tracks. "Former role model? Did I hear that right?" She asked, ice in her veins. How could ANYBODY idolize that man- no, that monster?

"Um.. yeah..." Kamica could tell she was going down a bad path. "See when I was about nine, I was alittle on the... killer side. Well I killed alot of people before I even became a teen." She shook her head, "That was a long time ago."

Rose immediateley turned away from Kamica. Killer days? She didn't want to know any further. She scooted away towards the edge of the group, saying nothing. The fact that her own sister had trained uner the maniac she feared most didn't bode well with her- at all. Should she trust Kamica, knowing this? Had she outlived being evil was now kosher? Or was she deep down just as twisted and demented as Wade? As they approached the edge of the quarantine zone, she looked at the others. "Beyond here connects to a major highway. If we bust out through here, it's a straight shot down the highway." She explained uneasily.

"Opinions Mr. Wade opinions." Dr. Weber said as he watched Wade on the screen. "Something tells me that you think that way because of something that has occurred in your life. What made you what you are? Who you are."

"Made me who I am, eh? Can't I just be like this of my own volition?" he said. He couldn't expalin rationaly his bitter envy of his brother, nor did he want to. Atacking and killing just felt so right to him.

"Yes well, that's true." Sr. Weber rubbed his chin and walked over to another monitor. It showed Steel City. He turned a nob on the control panel and the camera zoomed into the streets. There was pure chaos. The amount infected pretty much filled the entire screen. A grin spread across his wrinkled his face as he watched on of the infected chase a young woman down the street. He turned away from the screen and walked over to another. This one was keeping an eye on the survivors in Jump City. It looked to him like they were heading somewhere.

"Mr. Wade." Dr. Webers voice crackled over the speakers, getting his attention. "How would you like a job?"

"I've been waiting for you to say that!" Wade said, a twisted grin behind his mask as his voice fille diwht anticipation. "Who is the lucky target? A defector, a business rival, or do you need some extra muscle?" Wade asked. His first job in a year would get word out fast that the Ravager was back- and would be going after the new ravager to reclaim his title soon enough.

"Well lets not get hasty Mr. Wade. The job, for now, is undercover research." Dr. Weber said pulling out a walkie talkie. "Bring him to me." he clicked it. A portal appeared in front of Wade and a bandaged Karmy appeared in front of Wade. "Come."

Wade complied and walked into the Portal to where the doctor was. "So, we meet face to fast at last, eh? I'll warn you though- I'm a better killer than a researcher." Wade explained.

"All in good time my good man." Dr. weber said holding out his hand to Wade. "But for now, if you accept, I would like to to keep an eye on a group for me. Make sure they stay in line and don't find anything out."

"What kind of group, and where can I find them? Gimme that info, and you've got yourself a deal." Wade said to him.

Dr. Weber walked over to the table in the room and picked up a ear plug. "You will be entering Jump City. We have taken care of the city, and the infected are roaming loose so be careful. There is a group of survivors there, about 10 of them. Relay any information to me using this." he handed it to him.

Wade shrugged and complied, inserting the earplug. "Anyone in particular in this gorup i ought to know about? not for nothing, I can't deal with 10 JLA memebers." He asked.

"Well, they all have a special set of skills of their own." Dr. Weber replied. "You may know one of them. Does the name, Kamica, ring any bells?" he did not want him to know about Rose. He could find that out on his own.

"Ah, little Kamica. I've been waiting to catch up with my old pupil." He said, loading his gun with a loud GUN-CHUNK "So, see to it they stay outa your way and keep an eye on 'em, eh? Sounds simple 'nuff." he siad. He turned to leave. "Jump city, right?" he asked.

"Correct." Dr. Weber turned to Karmy and nodded his head. "Welcome to D.A.W.N Mr. Wade." a portal appeared underneath Wade and he was off to Jump City.
