The Darkest of Knights - Page 7 Empty Re: The Darkest of Knights

Post by Tizmael 12/29/2010, 7:04 pm

It had taken the ALL FRIGGEN DAY!

Mame had meandered about on her path to the City Hall, stopping off at a fast food restaurant, Danny's Diner or something like that. Walking in she got many stares from the various happy families, directing herself to the bathroom after waving off a concerned waiter who questioned her facial state, it wasn't his damn business what happened to her face really, even if it did look like she got into a fist fight with a kangaroo. The youth didn't want to linger in one place for too long, didn't want too many people remembering that 'beat up homeless chick', she quickly made her way into the isolated women's bathroom, crawling into one of the stalls that was located right under one of the ventilation grates. Once the grate was gently pried from the vent shaft opening, Mame pulled one of the square devices from her duffle bag, it had scratched up green designs all over it, as if at one time or another it had been meant for a more conundrum themed criminal. She placed the device inside the bend of the vent, flipping up several long antenna before taping it down to the inside of the vent. After pushing the vent grate back into place and zipping up her duffle bag Mame left, she didn’t even comprehend the hushed whispers of the waiter and hostess as she exited the diner. As far as she was concerned they already were blasted into oblivion, why bother herself with the opinions of the dead?

It took nearly three hours to get to the second destination, the Gotham City Park. It was the perfect target, it was merely ten blocks from City Hall and during certain hours it could get quite crowded. In other words lots of people were going to be very very unhappy. Mame meandered through the lush green and surprisingly litter free, until she came upon the central play area within the center of the park. Adjusting her duffle bag ever so slightly she made her way across the damp wood chips towards the many platforms and monkey bars that made up the semi castle-esque structure. Now she just had to think about where she was going to put the damn bomb, with children playing on it all the time she couldn’t put it anywhere obvious, someone would mess with the antennas and that’d be the end of that bomb….Or the stupid toddler who bothered the device. Mame perked up as she paced around the gaudy play toy, her good eye lingered on a thick piece of plastic that made up the first platform to get onto the toy. Excellent!!

The black wig shifted a top her head as she plopped her duffle bag down next to her feet, dropping to her knees and unzipping the bag. She smiled as her dainty fingers brushed over the folded antenna, she felt like she wanted to wriggle, this was such a delicious little plan and SHE had thought of it all on her own. Leaning down after snatching up her roll of industrial strength tape, she placed the device on the underside of the plastic platform and tapped it securely in place before adjusting the antenna so it would receive the trigger signal once it was activated. Mame pulled her head out from under the platform and froze as a woman pushing a stroller had paused to stare at her.

“I hate to ask but….What are you doing?”
“I……Dropped my cell phone….Flew right out of my hand”

The great big grin plastered on the youths face seemed to placate the woman, who nodded and turned to leave, seemingly satisfied with the black haired girls excuse, although the instant the woman turned her back a murderous grimace contorted the psychotic’s features. No, no control the temper, don’t want to blow it now! Mame zipped up her duffle bag and adjusted her wig to fit better on her head. One more to go, but this one would be the hardest, or at least the most annoying.

It didn’t take as long for Mame to get to City Hall from the park as she had originally thought, she had considered going through the front door but thought better of it as that would just attract unwanted attention, something she DID NOT need at this stage in the plan. Walking around it from the sidewalk, Mame snuck to the service entrance in the back, where the fire escape was located. What with there being such a short number of workers in the back it was easy enough for her to clamber up the metal walk way and start her climb to the roof top.

It was a graceless process but a successful one, the young criminal had to pause or duck down whenever she would pass a window, only nearly being caught once, but the whole thing went off without a hitch. Finally reaching the top, Mame tossed the duffle bag up ahead of her to save herself the possibility of getting tangled in it when she climbed. She followed quickly after it, banging her shins against the brick ledge as she struggled to pull herself up. The pain was a nice distraction, throughout the whole day she had been suffering from her neurotic paranoia, the world seemed to expand and expand, making her shrink so that everyone seemed so far away, to have forgotten her. She was really truly alone, and the only solace she took was that she wouldn’t be for long, not after this plan. The jeans protected her shins from tearing but there were already nice welts forming along with deep greenish purple bruises over her pale skin.

After laying a top the gravely roof for a few minutes she stirred, lifting herself and her duffle bag up as she scanned the roof, there it was! Mame hastily moved towards the curved vent shaft that stuck up from the cement, a grate was firmly screwed into it but it was nothing she couldn’t take care of. After a good ten minutes of tugging and using pieces of gravel to twist loose the screws she had the protective grate removed from the vent mouth, a warm gush of air blew the fake hair from her face, annoying her enough to force her to snatch the wig from her head and toss it away. This was better, now that her long blonde hair was free to curl up and around her face, framing her cherubic features despite the swelling and bruising, with her hair down she looked much more innocent, and besides everywhere else she had been she had a black bowl cut, now if anyone saw her no one would have a clue…Not that she thought anyone would…That was the paranoia talking.

After she carefully secured the duffle bag to her body, she began the treacherous climb downwards, her body small and light enough to make it through the shaft without getting stuck or making too many banging sounds that might attract attention, but it wasn’t without its problems, a few times she had slipped down the vertical shafts and nearly crashed through the thin metal panels at the bottom. It took Mame a bit longer then she had hoped but she finally made it to a vent opening inside one of the bathrooms of the top floor. There were three floors for the whole building, the main one was the first that consisted of all the civilian service areas as well as the conference and press rooms. The middle floor (her target) was the mayor’s floor, his office and all the offices of his assistance and secretary were located here as well as more privatized conference rooms. The top floor was mainly where all the hoity toity stuff happened, extra rooms for housing other politicians during political campaigns or when foreign business men or politicians decided to show up in Gotham, this floor was empty due to that fact, which Mame had managed to finagle the information from GG whilst on the phone with him.

Mame exited the bathroom, looking both ways for the sake of it rather than for any real constructive purpose. She gave a sigh of relief and marched down the hall ways, heading towards staircase as the elevator was a risk she wasn’t willing to take. She liked the cold cement steps against the soles of her too big shoes, the claustrophobic feel of the stairwell made her feel snug, like the world wasn’t expanding near as rapidly now. She made her way down the stairs until she reached the floor exit for the second level, pushing the door open and poking her head out before she walked out onto the red cushy carpet. Mame took a deep breath as she turned to walk down the left corridor; this was a much more touchy situation, more people, police officers, people who might recognize her, but probably not. As she turned down the hall she felt her heart leap upwards, colliding with her brain before collapsing to settle at the bottom of her rib cage. A procession of officials walked towards her, assistance and police officers (Yikes!) as well as a secretary all surrounding the Mayor. She momentarily thought of getting him now, but fought against that and tried to walk passed them, her head turned down as she noticed a set of bathrooms down the hall, just across the corridor from the two rich mahogany doors that lead into the Mayor’s office.
Just as she felt that she had escaped attention a very stern looking young assistant had turned to look after her, separating from the group to rush over to her and grab her upper arm tightly, she had to bite her lip to stifle the moan that the painful hold caused.

“Hey! What are you doing up here? You are unauthorized to~”
“Gil! Let her go! Geez!”

Unbeknownst to Mame, the secretary had separated as well, leaving the company of the continuing group to follow the befuddled blonde man. He released Mame and turned back to glare at the tall woman, gesturing to the small teen wildly.

“She can’t be up here Felaina! I don’t even want to know how she did it!”
“Gill, did it ever occur to you that she’s here with the Orphanage foundation to get press pictures taken with Mayor Lindel today?”
“Well…I…”
“Catch up to them Gill, I got this”

Mame was somewhat frozen in time, it was just TOO lucky! She didn’t even know that a group of orphans was coming to get photos with the Mayor….Nor that she would fit the age category they were in. Luuucckkkyy. The tiny blonde looked sheepishly at the taller female as the secretary bent down and placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Is that is? Are you here with Miss. Keane?”
“I….I got lost…I just wanted to see the Mayor….first….maybe get a picture with just…me and him…to show the other kids”
“Oh it’s ok, but you really shouldn’t have, the Mayor is a busy guy…here let me take you back down-“
“NO! I mean…I sorta have to…go pee…really bad….but I got lost and”
“Ok ok, come on its right over here”

The kindly woman steered Mame down the hall towards her goal, the youth played her part well and stared embarrassed at her feet, even as the good natured secretary patted her shoulder pushed open the doors for Mame to go in first. Mame stepped into the bathroom, walking forward until she was next to the paper towel dispenser, she looked down the bathroom, not a single soul there besides them, her duffle bag plopped to the ground and she turned, that wide murderous smile returning as her pupils flared, even the swollen black eye revealed the blood shot orb beneath. The secretary turned to this sight and jumped, startled by the sudden change before a foot was crammed firmly into her nose and mouth. The high kick dropped the woman nearly slamming her into the door behind her, the cartilage of her nose snapping from the force, her lip splitting and teeth biting into her tongue, filling her mouth up with sweet coppery blood.

Mame straddled the woman in an instant, holding her chest down with her hips as her hands shot to the woman’s throat before the dazed secretary could lift up her arms to defend. Mame’s head cocked to the side as the smile dropped to a gritted sneer, her fingers crushing down onto the woman’s windpipe with the intent to break it. The unfortunate secretary reached up to claw the distorted face, nails scrapping down the swollen flesh over the left cheek of the girl on top of her, but it only seemed to entice Mame to squeeze harder. Finally after five minutes of the struggled the woman’s head slumped to the side, foam and blood gurgled from her mouth and nose as the last hisses of air left her lungs. Mame punched her in the temple after she released her throat to make sure she wasn’t getting back up.

The bleeding blonde huffed as she stood up and dusted off her clothes, leaning down after a few moments to catch her breath; Mame grabbed the woman’s ankles and dragged her down the bathroom aisle, stopping at the stall just under the grate that lead into the vent. She struggled but eventually had the body propped up onto of the toilet, her duffle bag once remembered she removed the final bomb from it and brought it into the corpse holding stall. This bomb was twice the size as the other two, three of the same devices attached together to make one ‘master bomb’ as Mame felt she so cleverly called it. She used her industrial tape to secure it inside the vent after she quietly removed the grate. After it was secure and the antenna were positioned, the youth moved to the sink where she used soap and water to scrub at the new scratches on her face, if her luck held out, they would leave an awesome scar.

Mame locked the stall the woman was in, crawling underneath it and leaving her inside after she set the grate back on the vent opening; she picked up her duffle bag, stashing the tape inside before heading towards the stairs. She exited the building easy enough, everyone was preoccupied with the press and the 27 orphans posing with Mayor Lindel, she got out Scott free and no one the wiser. Surely someone would find the body, but if she was fast and didn’t get distracted, they would find it before it was too late.

Much later a top the Gotham Clock tower, looking over the chilled city and it’s polluted skyline, Mame leaned against the side railing, smiling to herself as she held a small cylinder like device with a green flashing button a top it. This was it, the final moment, she would be the first none famous criminal to succeed! She would make a name for herself doing this, and hopefully earn the respect of everyone in the city’s mafia and underworld in general. The youth took one final breath, holding the device out in front of her as far as her arm could stretch, her thumb posed over the trigger button.

“Tough luck, Batman”

And with that her thumb came down, pressing hard into the plastic covering of the delicate button, the plastic that had prevented the trigger from going off from something silly like her bumping the bag into something. The only sign that the device had activated was a faint click before down the main street a large explosion sounded off, then another a little ways down in the park, then another in that unfortunate diner. Mame enjoyed the startled screams of the couples and old folk and Gothamite onlookers as cars drove into each other and the City Hall building collapsed, or at least the top two floors did, the bomb was big enough to cause damage not level the whole building.

Later in life, Mame would always puff up with pride when they said they could never really find all of the Mayor.

(( Here it is! Finally. If there is anything that needs to be changed in this due to something occuring during the time it took to write this I will change it, but I will complain about it <3 ))

"You okay there?" Barbara whispered, peeking under the ultraviolet hood. She turned around as she heard the door open up. Leslie walked through with Dick, they were talking, but Barbara was only able to hear the last words which, if you hear any last words of any random conversation. "How is she Babs?" Dick asked. "Why don't you ask her for yourself." Barbara said smuggly.

Karmy was starting to calm down slightly until Barbara jolted out of daze. She gave a quiet nod. The shakes and quivers had stopped, well from the cold at least. She was still quite scared and being under the radiating lights wasn't help. "Hi, Dick." she said in a small voice. Hearing that Dr. Thompkins was back in the room, she unlatched her wounded hand from around her drawn legs.

Dick was about to respond back when he overheard something being broadcasted over the television. He turned to it and looked at the small TV displayed above everyone's head.

"This is Alaska Flowers at the aftermath of a deadly explosion at city hall where the Mayor was having his picture taken for the Thomas/Martha Wayne Orphanage Foundation. Various other explosions scattered around Robinson Park were also reported. Nearly fifty civilians are confirmed dead and counting, double that amount are severely wounded. Investigators are on the scene. As you can see in this calataclismic explosion that the bomb used was powerful enough to eat a chunk of city hall, the ashes and debris are still not settled. Firefighters and rescue teams are surrounding the premis." Dick looked at the group of women. The feeling of having no choice began to settle in again. The red headed reporter was still taking. "I gotta go." Dick said quietly and took off.

Karmy watched as Dick bolted out of the room, knowing fair well of what he was going to do. "No rest for the weary." she muttered as she leaned back slightly on her bed. "Well, for those who are still able to.." she groaned tiredly as she rolled over under the harsh UV light. "sorry about earlier, by the way." she told Babs and Dr. Thompkins. "For freakin' out..."

"I've have had patiences far worse than you, don't sweat it dear." The doctor assured taking Karmy's hand and cleaning it. Barbara was growing increasingly worried about Dick, "Should I go help him?" Barbara asked mainly to herself. "Hm? Oh, well c'mon Babsy, give him some credit. He's the Batman." Leslie replied in a nonchalant way. "All I get are worrywarts." She mumbled dressing Karmy's wound.

Dick stormed into the Batcave startling both Damian and Nicole. "Nicole get suited up. Now." Dick ordered. "Yo, what about me?" Damian asked standing up. "No you might not be suited for this operation. I want Nicole for this round." Dick said sternly. "What? Why?" Damian demanded. "You're too tired. Your stance indicates you're off balance, and your eyes look like you've been doing crack. Go get some rest." Dick explained rather roughly with a slight touch of concern.

"I could only imagine, Ms. Thompkins." Karmy said wearily. She breathed in sharply as a sharp pain went through her hand and she triess her best to keep her hand still. Biting her bottom lip to stifle herself, she looked over at Alice. A sense of worry and grief washed over her. "Whats going to happen now?" she asked as her hand was wrapped.

A squeal of delight cut through the words of Alaska Flowers. Sure she was no Vicky Veil or Summer Gleeson, but still! Mame's work was on the news! She should have left a sign it had been her or something stupid like that.....Wait! No! She had succeeded! Only the Riddler was silly enough to try to get caught (Even if that was exactly what Mame wanted)

The bruised blond wriggled on the dusty cushion less couch, her knees drawn up to her chest, toes curled as she spas med and flailed her arms above her head. She had done it! The Bat was normally so good and thwarting plans like this, but he had FAILED and now Mame was busy writhing in the ecstasy and glory of it all. Also she had managed to finagle a hide out, one of Killer Croc's old sewer homes actually. She had called the Broker at the advice of GG, who had called her five seconds after the news aired to yell at her. But he really had no right, after all what had he thought she was going to do with three very powerful bombs?

The Broker had seen the news of course, and was all too happy to set her up with a derelict hideout, mostly because her recent publicity and notoriety would earn him more cred in the Gotham Rogue world if he could hook her up with a hideout that’d keep her under the radar. Of course no one really knew who the hell had done it, the only one who could possibly figure it out was Batman or the Riddler (Was she obsessing on him? Why was a raven like a writing desk anyway?)

The psychotic youth was still trying to figure out what her next step was, sure she had gotten a hideout but it was such a sad place, knowing that the wonderful cannibal that once called it ‘home’ was long gone. A thick dirty blanket was wrapped about her skinny frame, it was freezing and it smelled like urine, and maybe taking off GG’s clothes had been a bad idea but she couldn’t stand wearing his clothes. It felt like she was invading his body, and that she wasn’t herself anymore.
Mame let out another squeal as the fuzzy TV screen showed the damage and a few people being wheeled into ambulances, despite how AWESOME this was she needed to think quickly. The final confrontation between her and The Bat was soon and she couldn’t just be idle and sit around in the sewers. Then she had an evil idea, an awful, evil idea! A wretched awful evil idea!

She remembered before she met real Slade, she had been going about setting up a much different plan; she still had the Bat signal! The question was how was she going to get to it? I seemed to her that after blowing up City Hall, going to the police station was the LAST thing you wanted to do. She’d just have to find another, blank spot light; maybe bigger than the Bat Signal, Mame would just have to get a little…Artistic.

"Three explosions downtown, all encircling Robinson Park. Most likely the police trampled all the evidence at City Hall. My hunch is either the killer wanted pure destruction or they were trying to murder the Mayor because news reports say they can't find him anywhere. Ground Zero was too close to Mayor Lindel for him not to have been killed. Assuming all the explosions came from the same source, which I know they are, we're going to visit Gotham's streets. We'll find something that will lead us back to whomever made the bombs." Dick said as he finished suiting up. "Quick Robin... To the Batmobile." He said sweeping his cape over his back making the slapping sound, on leather wings.

"Yeah.." Karmy gave a small smile back, the UV lights castig shadows across her pale face. "I'm ok. Ya know, as ok anybody can be after being electricuted into seizures and forced to watch their best friend mangled right in front of them and they couldn't do anything about it." she chuckled then buried her face in her knees, shivering again from the anguish.

Zero gave his uncharacteristically quiet sister a quick glance before replying to Karmy's text.

I think she had it rough with the Joker's trap- wasn't she on some kind of Halucinogens?

Send. Zero knew about his sister's history, and if her little acid trip made was related to that, it would explain a lot....

Dent had been strolling past a public monitor when he heard the news. Needless to say, he KNEW that the Bats would be headed there ASAP. He didn't hesitate to call Dick, to see where he could do the most good....

Batman arrived at a bombing site, as fate had it, The Commissioner was there. Batman and Robin snuck up on him unintentionally. "Geez, what took you guys so long?" The commissioner asked scratching the back of his head. "We're fashionably late. We're not exactly your last Batman." Batman said looking around the damage, a small fire was being put out. "Excuse me, what the hell is he doing here?" A new voice asked. Batman turned around to see a short blond. "Who's she?" Batman plainly asked.
"The new DA, seems like this city puts a curse on all of them ever since Dent came to town."
"True commissioner. They don't have a long life expectancy here."
"Don't talk to me like that, Richard J. Grayson. I've read up about you and your escapade as the new Batman and your young ward; and I can tell you I'm like no other DA this city has ever seen." The New DA, Dana McCoy spouted at him.
"Calm down, and get off of that." Batman ordered the DA.
"You're literally all over what could be delicate evidence. Robin, go check over there to see if you can find anything with a serial number... A nail or plate that was used to make the bomb."

Barbara and Leslie looked at one another and simultaneously sighed. "Go back to sleep Karmy." Barbara told her.

"I was never asleep and, seeing as there's a psycho maniac running around the city," Karmy started. "I'd rather not.." she was now sitting cross legged on the end of the bed, still under the UV light but where she could watch the TV. "Too on edge to sleep anyways."

[They didn't find out who did it yet Karm..]

Leslie scoffed, typical. Crazy people. That's all she gets around here. Crazy people she just can't refuse to treat. She often wondered who's more crazy? Her, or her patients.

Perhaps it was time to get going? A bowl of cereal and sitting naked on a dead man’s couch while watching news about yourself was fun and all, but when one was ambitious they didn't have the luxury of sitting around and laughing at the body count.

Mame stood up from the couch, dusting the nasty couch fluff from the back of her legs and rump before tossing the cereal bowl into the flooded area below her 'apartment' platform. The teen let off a big yawn before meandering towards a trunk that the Broker had given to her, taking it from the trunk of his shiny black car and shoving it in her arms as a little 'something extra to propagate more good business between them'. Whatever, it was clothes.

As the blonde opened the trunk her eyes widened, mouth lagging open as the holy mother of all glorious glory shined up at her from the deep center of the dusty ol trunk. This wasn’t just clothes…This was the god of all costumes! This was fantastic! She didn’t know how the Broker had managed it, or how he had found out what her outfit was suppose to look like, but then again she didn’t want to know…It was his job to know and find out; he probably had eyes all over Gotham.

Mame hefted the black and white tuxedo/leotard out of the trunk, holding it up to her body, it was a bit large in the chest area but she’d grow into that. Then the pleated skirt….and the shoes and gloves and awesome socks! This was so much better than anything she had ever worn before; it was like someone had reached into her brain, groped around then pulled out the very thing she had envisioned for her villain get up! She HAD to give the Broker a finger painting of money or something next chance she got!

Hastily the girl crammed the costume into her duffle bag, along with the delicious little green see through squirt gun that had fallen out of the skirt pocket, it was empty, but she was surrounded by water so it wouldn’t happen for long. So the Broker had known about her first exploit in Gotham two years ago? Clever man. Once she was back in the clothes GG had gotten her she moved to the filthy water, dipping the 9 mm squirt gun into the liquid and filling it up before stashing it in the saggy pocket of her jeans. Hefting the duffle bag up on her shoulder to once again wander the streets of Gotham, Mame felt a satisfied smile grace her usually frightening features; she was on the hunt now, the hunt for the perfect signal to get The Bat to come to her.

(Oh goddammit... I'll edit)

Karmy winced a little at Leslie's scoff. She wasn't crazy, well, she thought she wasn't, she just had issues with being ordered around, nothing wrong with that. "I'll be fine.." she mumbled a little stubbornly. "Besides, gotta keep an eye on the news.

"Commissioner, do you really believe it's a good idea to let The Batman run around and take evidence?" Dana demanded from the commissioner. "District Attorney.. If you're going on about how GCPD is relying too much on Batman then you're just like all the other DA's this side of the city has already seen." Flass spat out as an officer came up with a cup of steaming black coffee for the both of them. Flass took a cup, Dana refused. She didn't believe in putting in anything that might screw up her internal clock in her body. "So? Batman could still be-"
"Could still be what? Doin' this city a favor in helping collect evidence that will lead us to the psycho who did this?"
"Flass.."
"Dana."
"Why do we even need the police here anymore if Batman is putting them out of their work?"
"I'm not here to talk about economics. I'm here to solve the damn case."
"I know but Batman is going too far"
"He can hear you Y'know. Might as well be for him than against. That'll increase your life expectancy."

Batman was searching around the rubble, utilizing Bruce Wayne's detective mode installed in the cowl to aide him in his search for a trail. A slight beeping at the headset in his cowl indicated that there was an incoming call from Harvey Dent. "Dent, it's Grayson. Investigating one of the three bombing sites I presume." Batman said picking up a steel frame that looked like it could be apart of an explosive. Definitely had C4 involved just looking at the damage, could be homemade to avoid tracking. That wouldn't stop him of course.

Karmy turned her head away from the two older women and pulled out her phone.

I'm actually not all that sure.. I dunno what everyone else's rooms were like, no one ever told me nuthin while I was there :T

After sending the text to Zero, she decided that maybe it was best to try and talk Cyrah.

Hey Cyssy, how you feelin?

Snowing lightly
30 degrees

Barbara hung out by the window when Leslie left to tend to other patients, naturally she would have been by Alice's side but Leslie told her to get the best rest she could. Karmy was under the UV getting an envious tan, and Barbara looked at the window. A faint reflection showed her how tired and cold she really was. "God I look like a mess." Barbara mumbled to herself, snow flakes whipped across the streets as far as she could see. Perfect for Mr. Freeze's get up, if it weren't getting colder by the minute she wouldn't know if it really was Mr. Freeze out there. "You're lucky you're under that UV Karmy." Barbara shivered looking back to her. The television was still reporting the explosion. It was like 9/11 all over again, if you flipped to any channel anywhere in the country, it was being covered.

At the coffee shop, where the explosion took place and Batman was investigating several reporters were hoping to get a word from the commissioner. "If it weren't cold as balls I might have the incentive to talk to the media." Commissioner Flass grumbled hands in his pockets.

"Not in my opinion." Karmy said, propping her head with her good hand. "If I'm gonna get a tan, I'd rather do it under natural uhm.... sunlight." she huffed. Even though she hated it with every fiber of her being, Karmy was getting better from being under the UV light. The blue tinge was gone and her breathing had returned to a steady rhythm . She wasn't out of the deep yet, the lesser symptoms of the ailment still lingered. Her core temperature still being a little under 90 degrees, her heart rate was still at a rapid level and confusion still clouded her mind every so often.

Jokers left testicle! Why was it so cold?!

A still figure stood atop a dumpster. Teeth chattering, hands clutched tightly to the chest, lips very purples. Mame never liked snow. It was cold and there was always either too much of it or too little, sure she liked how it made her fingers and toes throb after she went back inside, the sensation were euphoric but the standing around in the snow to get said tingly sensations was somewhat not worth it.

Mame had been trying to figure out where a good spot light would be, a nice big one. She had searched the skies all night looking for where one could come from, but after the 'incident' (she was still freaking out about it) no one was really trying to get anyone's attention anymore, especially not for something silly like advertising for used cars. But there was one place that was still in business although they were backed up and delayed. The airports had nice big spot lights.

Now Mame hated airports and flying as much as she hated snow, it felt good but the activity wasn’t worth the high.

But currently sitting on one of the dumpsters of Gotham’s main airport was rapidly becoming her most hated thing ever! She was sitting on her duffle bag, wrinkling the costume within, she was waiting of course for a chance to sneak into the air port through the service entrance, hop aboard one of those luggage trolleys and ride in, find a way to announce something to the entire airport to clear it out, then shanghais one of the spot lights and get Batman’s attention. She was of course waiting because she wanted the Dark Knight to do some of that detective work, so that she could make it meaningless and just tell him where she was anyway. It’d be easy; there were no other lights in the sky.
