which is why i ended up coloring some of my work in the end. though...
what i did at first was just use the colors i wanted to without bother shading
with them so i had a good feel of the colors and when i feel comfortable enough
with them, then i'll start shading
hopefully that might work for you too archie or any of you o-o

You can also just take a picture or scan you drawing before you color, then after if you like it. So you have a digital copy.

though.... i do have a question... o-o
would you rather leave your uncolored drawing in pencil, or would
you outline it with a red color pencil first?
(i heard that red color pencils are useful for Photoshop to detect when editing etc.)
-though i usually use black markers to outline them >_>

Uh wow. I never heard of that.. I'll check it out. It sounds interesting, but I think if you draw in blue and ink in black I think what the thing is with that is that the scanner only picks up the black. But I'm not really sure. >_<
