You know, I think back on it and I may have been a bit unfair to season three. The single episodes (the ones not connected to an overarching storyline) were damn good for the most part. It's the season arc as a whole that was rather bad.

Yup. Those were definite highlights of the season. It had some other good ones as well.

Actually, that's generally my perspective on the show in general. It's good to great episodes were often the ones not connected to a greater storyline. When it came to season arcs, however, the show stumbled a lot. The folks behind the show just did not put together a lot of good season arcs; they were either disappointing or unfaithful.

I think the fifth season is the only one that really bucked the trend. I thought the season arc episodes (especially Titans Together) were the strongest while most of the single episodes of the season (with the exception of Lightspeed) were weak.

Spellbound I think is the best episode made.

Same. I'm not a big fan of the show or anything, but there were episodes I greatly enjoyed. The Beast Within is easily in my top three episodes of the show.
