TT Season 6 on DVD?

So here's what a random TT fan sent me on youtube:

Teen Titans Season 6 will be released May 27, 2010 on DVD and Bluray
SPREAD THE WORD!

she said some other fan got this from a facebook.... i'd love to investigate more in this,
but as busy as i am, you guys already know that my time can be very limited, so someone
or anyone please help investigate this as thoroughly as possible and come back to discuss
here.

Random date. No supporting evidence. The fact that it was said straight up there were no plans for the show. A claimed release on DVD, of all places (that never happens).

Yeah, it's total crap.

There's just a lot of things about that whole thing that immediately discredits it. For one, there was nothing to support it. It was also taken from Facebook of all places; from whom was never said, so it was probably from some random fan who heard a rumor and talked about it on Facebook. Then there's the fact that a season of a show would NEVER be released on DVD without airing; that simply does not happen, as the costs of making an entire season would far outweigh any sales of a DVD. This is why you tend to see Direct to Video film continuations released straight to DVD; less monetary investment, far more likely to make it's money back and it takes less time to make.

That last bit right there is another reason why there's definitely nothing to this. Sam Register himself said straight up that there was nothing happening with the show. Even if, in some alternate universe where the impossible happens, Sam Register were to have gotten the call three days later to start the show, there's no way it would make next May. He would have to get the crew back together, get the voice actors, the writers, outline the season, have them scripted, get the voice acting, get the music done, have everything storyboarded, the animation done, the episodes individually polished and a bunch of other things that happen in between. That takes time. If they started today it would take at least a year to get a season even remotely together and it sure wouldn't go right to DVD; they would need network backing to start with or the show just would not be happening.

TEEN TITANS WILL BE RETURN ON DECEMBER 21, 2012!!!!!!111!1!

Better investigate that too, because it's about as veracious as the other rumor.

This kind of thing reminds me of a time when someone edited the Teen Titans shows Wiki to say it was coming back early 2009, with no sources of course.

Why some fans pull stunts like that I don't really get.
