Robin, was down looking around him. He didn't know what was going on. He saw Beast Boy, he didn't see Starfire. Nor Raven. He saw streetlights burn through the darkness. Slowly the streetlights started growing dimmer. They were all out of focus and gradually going out like a fire dying. He saw a fly buzz in front of him, dancing about in between the fading light.

Robin blacked out.

Slade slowly managed to wake up. However, he was shocked to see that BB and Raven were trying to help. He had never done anyhting to warant their help- they would have been perfectly justified to just walk out and be on their merry way. Still nearly blind, Slade managed to clumsily shrug the mound of rubble off of himself. Focusing outward to about where Raven's sheild was, he created one of his own. 'Get out of here- NOW!' Slade barked, hodling his face with his left arm and chaneling the spell with his metal right...

Beast Boy just yelled over the sound of the crashing buliding. "Where's Starfire?" He didn't want to leave her behind. He didn't want to be crushed either, so he ran outside to find Robin passed out. Sense when does Robin fall asleep on the job? Beast Boy thought.

Starfire pushed a piece of the ceiling off of her and got up quickly. She knew her friends had gotten out of the building so she didnt look back as she narrowly escaped. "Friends..?" She called out. Then she saw him. "Robin!!" She screamed as she rushed over to him and Beast Boy. Robin was lying on the floor, not moving. Star looked at his injured form and tears filled her eyes. "Is he..?" She whispered, not evening bothering to finish the sentence. She couldn't imagine how devasted she would be if they had lost Robin.

Blur. Black. Blur. Blood-loss. Black. Blur. Who is that? Black. Blur. Starfire? Rave- Black. Blur. Focus. Blood-loss. Robin was blacking out and coming to almost at the same time. But he was slowly regaining his conscience. "Starfire? What.. where's Slade? Where are we?" Robin asked weakly. Smoke and dust was coming out from the layer, small debris coming out. He saw the structure starting to slowly collapse.

(ok guys im replacing Cyborg for a bit, (Sorry Cyfire) this is my first post)

Cyborg groaned as he sat up. The last thing he remembered was all the Billy's jumping on top of him and then everything went dark. "Stupid hillbilly..." he looked around and noticed he was alone in an ally. Standing up he checked his scanners to see where his friends were. Catching Robin's communicator signal he ran into the T-Car and speed off.

After almost killing a couple crossing the street (random humor yay) Cyborg finally arrived to were Robin's signal was transmitting. He started walking around the demolished building, of which the dust had not cleared yet, and gasped as he came across his friends. Star was crying, Beast Boy was next to her, and Raven was hovering over an unconscious Robin. He ran over to them and knelled next to Robin to check his vitals. "What happened" he asked Raven. After she explained the situtation the him he said "Ok, we need to get back to the tower guys, before the anything else happens" and he picked Robin and started to head to the T-car as everyone followed

"S-Slade.. where's.. SLADE?!!" Robin jolted up out of Cyborg's arms. "Where's Slade?! Beast Boy? Starfire? Where is he?!" Robin demanded. All of his friends with worried expressions didn't know what to say at first. "What happened? where is he?!"

Laying a hand on Robins shoulder to calm him down Cyborg said, "Chill man, you're really banged up, we all are. We need to get back to take care of our wounds."

"I'm fine," Robin said using the hand that wasn't broken to swipe off Cyborg's. "I have to know where he is, where his body is, if he's getting away it's either by foot or a body bag." Robin exhaled limping to the collapsed building. "Now if you don't-" Robin on the spot in mid-sentence dropped face first. He was out like a light.

Cyborg sighed and picked up his disgruntled leader and motioned the others to follow him to the T-Car. He set Robin in as the others climbed in the back, Raven in the middle and Starfire and Beast Boy on either sides of her. Cyborg climbed into the drivers seat and started the engine...

Starfire sat in thr T-car, trying to control her tears, but with no success. She was so worried for Robin, and she kept trying to sneak glances at him. Finally, she sighed and leaned her head against the seat, she was still crying even though she wanted desperatley to stop.

Cyrborg reached over Robin and into the glovebox, pulled out a box of kleenex and handed them to Starfire.

Cyborg stopped at a stoplight. "Listen gu-girls, I know what you did was but whats done is done. I know if you made those mistakes but i know you didn't mean to." he said as he looked at them softly through the rear veiw mirror.

Cyborg turned back at Raven while they were still at the red light, "Look Rave, Robin is just being Robin. We all know how he can get. Don't worry about him, let me deal with him."

Star looked at her friend and wiped her eyes. "I am sorry friends, I am just so worried.." She didn't need to say who it was that she was worried about. But she didn't mention how worried she was for Tameran, and how Star planned to visit when she was sure Robin was okay.

Robin was conscience of the conversation, he wanted to interject but he simply didn't have the strength. I'm fine, he would say, No you ain't! You just got yo butt whooped by Slade man! Cyborg would rebuke. You have no idea how my body function Cyborg, but you're absolutely predictable, we know your limits, there's no way you can know mine! Robin would yell at him, that was a weak point in Cyborg, he was half robot and that would really push his buttons. Cyborg might say to him back something like Yeah well I can last longer than your twiggy figure in a fight against Slade, look at you man! Your butt was kicked so hard you need a butt-plate to sit down! Starfire might interrupt the argument and say Friends, now is not the time to bicker amongst each other! We must let Robin rest. Cyborg will have a rebuttal ready for that and complain that Robin is the one who's being arrogant and egotistic. Raven might not look in their direction but say as if she were talking to herself Yeah and fighting amongst friends gets you everywhere in life, right? Then Beast Boy might want a word in it and say Hey just let them do what they want, they fight all the time Raven. Then I might say to everyone in the backseat Everyone just stay out of this! In a reply to that Cyborg will say something to the effect of Then don't get your butt whooped so hard and deny it.

Man, Robin though. I sure do know my family.

Cyborg nodded, "I know Star, we all are..." As the light changed from Red to Green, he noticed that Robins breathing patterns had changed. As he drove he suddenly made a sharp turn, making robin hit his head on the window slightly and he whispered "I know you're awake." so the others couldn't here. "Hey guys, sorry, just taking a quick shortcut." he said to the three in the back.

He was surprised that Cyborg could tell. "What's your point?" Robin replied in the same soft manner that Cyborg had spoke to him in. He wasn't sure where he was getting at. "You weren't there to see what happened."

"I know enough." cyborg replied after checking to see if the others were listening, "I also know how you get when it come to Slade. Man you need to leave the girls alone, there's enough going on right now and they don't need you on their case." He took another sharp turn, hitting Robin's head again, and headed for the Tower...

"sh*t Would you stop doing that?" Robin cursed under his breath. He sighed as the Tower gradually got larger and larger. "My head hurts from the damn acid. I won't go after Slade, okay? Just don't freaking do that again." Robin was really pissed that he was be restrained from his duties as a leader. Cyborg had always filled Robin's shoes when he was away in the past. He remembered past conversations with him and realized Cyborg was only trying to help.

Back when Cyborg first constructed the Titan's East Tower he had a talk with Cyborg about leadership and self centeredness. He had to now listen to his own advise. It was hard for Robin to say it, but he did. "I'm sorry."

Cyborg gave him a sideways glance, though he couldn't see through the mask, he could tell he was in deep thought.

"Yeah I know you're sorry." he said with a slight grin, and he saw Robin also flash a small smile as well. "But seriously man, don't worry about it. We all got your back, no matter what."

"Yeah dude, no sweat." Beast Boy gave the guys a thumbs up and a smile. The smile vanished as soon as Robin and Cyborg quit looking. They sort of beat Slade, he should be happy, right? They all should, but his thoughts kept going back to when Terra beat Slade...

They reached Titans Tower, it had been a long day for the Heros of Jump City. Robin was sent immediately to the medical ward. The rest quickly went to sleep. It was really late at night, or really early in the morning, Robin couldn't tell. He couldn't move his arm but he decided that he shouldn't because he should be asleep in the first place. He couldn't shake the feeling that somewhere, somehow, Slade was alive and well, plotting his next move. Then he fell asleep.

Early next morning Robin discovered that his arm was in a cast, he prayed in secret that Larry wouldn't show up again, but it did seem to be a normal morning. With a remote control and his good hand Robin turned on the news and tried to relax, although the media is probably the last place to get some R&R it was different for Robin. Cooking shows made little sense to him, cartoons were not funny, stand up was lame, and documentaries were almost as boring as watching paint dry. When he would watch detective cases on True TV he would figure out how the murderer got away, who the murderer was in the first place, and deduce every possible outcome before it ended, even those special cases where the detectives haven't found the killer yet. Robin was fascinated by the human mind and how it worked. There was something so Psychological about every case. Every case except Slade. Robin was stumpted every time, he could never figure out his motives, he was a ghost that huanted him. There was something about health care on the news this morning. Local coverage of Jump City Tea Parties. A knock came at the medical ward's door. "C'mon in." Robin projected his voice.

Slade stormed away from the obliterated building, broken, beaten, and exhausted. a large peice of metal juted out of his shoulder at a painful angle, but he knew he needed to put some distance between himself and his current location before the authorities, or worse, vengeful titans could show up. His self recovery had healed his sight slightly, but his vision was still bad enough to make flying still a bad idea.

He settled for laying low in the old carnival where he had fought BB several times in the past. He looked into one of the mirrors to veiw his injuries. A good portion of his mask was completely melted away by the acid, and his face looked like it had been into a meat processor. His eye was red, but it didn't hurt in the extremes it had. He had numerous lacerations and bruises from when the building was coming down, and he still had that peice of shrapnel to tend to. He reached behind him and tore it out quickly, griting his teeth against the pain. Slade, exhausted and tired from his injureis, figured he would take care of things in the morning after he recovered. He proped himself against a wall, slunk to the gorund, and slowly sunk into slumber...

After taking care of Robin and everyone else, Cyborg had gone for a well needed sleep/charge. It was early in the morning by the time he woke up. He had patched up some of the injuries he had, so he was good and fixed now. With a yawn and a few stretches, he headed to the common room, slowly shuffling as he walked.

As he reached the kitchen he decided he would whip up a nice waffle breakfast for every one, they deserved one after the previous days events. Even if it meant making Beast Boy's nasty tofu waffles he thought to himself. So, pulling out the waffle maker and all the ingredients he needed, he got to work. As he pulled out the flour, he heard the common room doors slide open..
