Re: Random Chat
Last night, when I went to see Iron Man 2, the trailer for Eclipse--AKA Twilight Episode 3: Revenge of the sh*t--ran, and curiously enough, they seem to be shifting the focus away from the painfully trite and badly-acted love story to the, uh, "action." Such as it is.
Here're the two funniest bits:
-The evil vampiric army marching out of a river in ranks. This brought to mind a scene in an early episode of The Simpsons where Seymour Skinner does the same thing, and I could not at all take it seriously because of that.
-The evil vampiric army and the Cullens charging at one another across a field (for supernatural monsters who can supposedly run at the speed of sound, they're pretty goddamn slow) while wearing designer clothing. It was at that point that I completely lost my sh*t and could not stop laughing.

So how about you get to the important part and tell us how Iron Man 2 was...

Fantastic. Not as good as the first though.

Oh wow, I forgot just how spark-y no pants night is.
Till Rustle brought it back, of course. (NO I do not have anything to do with no pants night.)

Re: Random Chat
There was so little fighting and they really didn't have a good hero vs villian moment. It was slow in the begining and fast in the end. And I was excited that AC-DC would be recording some songs for the movie and there was only two... I liked it alot, I just expected more. The first was sooo much better.

Ah, less action. Well yeah, it does kinda lack action... ._. Oh well. I'm waiting for Jonah Hex and I'll bet is going to be awesome.

Re: Random Chat
Jonah Hex has dual miniguns mounted on a horse.
I'm going to be so horribly disappointed if it isn't cool when it has something so awesome.

John Lennon imagined a world filled with peace and love. Martin Luther King dreamt of a world free from racial discrimination and oppression. The guy who invented the Frisbee, dreamt of a world where people would throw a fat, circular object at each other in order to pass the time. At least He succeeded...
A classmate of mine put that on his Facebook... I thought it was interesting

Martin Luther King Jr. also dreamed of an America where black people were not second-class citizens.
He succeeded in that, if nothing else. So I think he'd be proud.

Re: Random Chat
Red Dead Redemption is a game built to be difficult to navigate and easy to play.
Their first mistake was the choice of in-game font, which, in keeping with the 'old west' theme is virtually illegible in all but the best of conditions. I'm good at reading poorly written things and I have to take 10 seconds to figure out what the heck the game is trying to get me to do. This makes such things as, oh, driving my horse, or, combat, very difficult to perform while reading the instructions, the result generally being that I mess something up, get myself killed while racing my horse for the first time, and end up shooting the guy I'm supposed to be bringing in alive.
Second there is no real way to tell the difference between any of the characters, particularly not from a fire-fight distance. The result of this is that I shot the guy I was supposed to be rescuing in the head. His mother wasn't terribly happy about that.
Third, it's controls are built to be too easy to use. In order to get into cover one must press one button, and though the game tells you that you are required to press said button again to leave cover, you can in fact, simply step out of cover with the movement stick. The result of this is, that instead of stepping out from behind the tree you spend a good sixty seconds running around it with you shoulder pressed to one side, while people shoot at you, and then when you actually want to move around your cover instead you step out and get your head blown off by a shotgun.
In addition, because virtually everything in the environment is the same color it is difficult to tell one thing from another. This makes riding your horse particularly difficult as they can leap over some objects yet are stopped dead in their tracks by others. Rocks are a particular irritation because despite being smaller than fences your horse cannot leap over them.
The only 'redeeming' quality of this game, is the fact that its combat system is both easy to use and realistic. One shot to the face and anything dies.
