Reht dodged the attack as well as he could. Unfortunately for him, it reopened a wound from the last time Adela hit him there and added another nice scar. He made a hefty lunge toward Adela as fire poured from the sword, lighting the grass on fire and sending plumes of flame toward the both of them.
"Can't say I like him myself..." he muttered mostly to himself.

"Undefined." Reht grunted, bending out of the way of the sword, using his own to keep something between himself and the sword.
"Though at this point, I don't quite care about money." he growled, cleaving into her again.
"One of us has to die eventually. And if it's me, another killer will come anyways."

Reht laughed as his sword sucked up blood from the cut as he tried getting out of the way. Which didn't work so well, as the sword cut into him, leaving two deep cuts on his shoulder as he moved.
"Or, of course, you could always do what Zhiev did." he laughed as he clenched the sword with his non-wounded arm. The sword got some more blood in it, so he could use a little more fire, he thought as he watched the fire around them. The blade set on fire, the flame curling around the draconic sword. He made another lunge.

Reht stopped laughing as he saw the swords coming toward him. The swords hit is already bleeding arm, deepening the cut clean through. Enough to actually make Reht make a loud growl in pain.
"All I meant was that you could get rid of me like him." he growled, bringing the sword up again and striking her swords, trying to melt through them. Though he was about to lose, he thought. Again.

Reht just grunted.
"He didn't quite get rid of me. He actually hired me." he growled, grabbing Adela's leg as she kicked him and twisted it with as much force as he could muster, which, incidentally, was quite a lot. He let go of her leg and held the flaming sword to eye level.
"Only thing is the fool didn't think to make use of a bounty hunter under his hire."

Reht shook his head.
"Respect?" he barked out as he held the now dimming sword above Adela.
"Respect is wasted here." he growled as he swung the sword down to strike Adela.

Reht was about to finish Adela, when a tail hit him, landing him back and extinguishing his sword.
"I forgot about that..." he grumbled, getting back up and eying her swords.
"Shoulda melted them when I had the chance." he grumbled, pulling his sword into a defensive stance and taking a knife from his strap as an off hand weapon.

Reht very nearly hit the sword away, making a long scar from the base of his next to the end of his shoulder.
"I don't have an overgrown lizard to sic on you, so be quiet." he growled as he hurled his off-hand knife at Delano, pulled out the last knife from his strap and made a hefty hack towards Adela's neck and stomach with both swords. Though he felt that this was going to end soon, whether someone died or not; it was getting harder for him to fight coordinately.

"You think we should go after them? In case something happens?" Zhiev inquired back at the group, not quite worried about anyone but deciding they weren't quite doing much.

(Aw, come on. xx; Firefox dies right as I'm sending a reply... stupid thing. Gives me a chance to ask, though, where's everyone again? Schoolwork and whatnot has kept me a bit too busy to keep up with this, unfortunately.. I don't know exactly where anyone is except Sierra, really.)

wolf slowly got up and felt the rain beating down on his back and blinked his eyes several times trying to see through the red film that covered them. He swiped his eyes with the back of his hand and cringed grabbing his side in pain. Glancing down he saw his side severely burned and blood running down and pooling on the ground by his side. He felt his left arm and flinched away as it was broken and bleeding badly. His heart was beating like a drum as reality soon took hold in his mind. wolf called out or rather tried to but found it very difficult. He finally managed to work up enough strength to mutter out the words "thunder...where...where are--you....." He saw her lying on the ground smoldering and also badly burnt and bleeding. wolf slowly crawled over to her side and leaned his ear next to her heart to check if she were still alive. Her heart was beating faintly and very slowly and he noticed that she was losing a lot of blood as he sat next to her. wolf's eyes burst into tears as he hugged her not only for her sake but also for deep remorse for what he has done to his friends. "This is all my fault..." He thought to himself. "If i live through this...which..is doubtful at the moment but if I do...That thing will pay for what it has done.."

I stared at the.. I supposed it was a creature, for a moment longer before changing my mind and backing away. I was alone; the others were already in a fight; and I could feel, on the edge of my mind, that Thunder and Wolf were in trouble. To stay would be beyond foolish. Instead I dropped back down and started off through the trees. Slowly, as I moved away from the draconic figure, I picked up speed, praying silently that my presence had yet gone unnoticed. As Lynn kept telling the others, we all stood a greater chance of victory if we stood together, instead of apart. If only I had seen it and the others could...

the draconic figure watched Sierra leave and chuckled darkly to itself as it dissipated back into the clouds.

wolf tried waking thunder up but was futile in that effort. He thought to himself that if he couldn't wake her that he must go and find help himself. Question is...could he?

Eventually I was running, as quickly as I could--which, honestly, was pretty fast. I settled into a steady rhythm; fast, but not quite sprinting, though I was still running faster than most... "normal" people could. With any luck I would reach Wolf and Thunder soon, and hopefully be able to help them. I could only hope that I would not be too late, or worse; after all, I had no idea who or what that draconic... thing was. Goddess, help me, I thought desperately. We cannot afford any losses right now...

thunder's breathing slowed and her heart throbbed as wolf clung to her side and pounded his head into his palm. "WHY?! After all the things that we have been trhough together..why must it end now?" wolf got up and looked around for herbs to heal her but he knew that these would not cure the deep wounds lacerated into her by the draconic thing.

A voice. On the very edge of hearing, a familiar, and distraught, voice. I stepped up into a sprint now; something was clearly terribly wrong, as if I had really needed confirmation of that. Please, Goddess, I pleaded, please let me be in time... The others might not trust him now, but I still did. Perhaps I was a fool, but then again, my instincts of these things were usually correct... usually.

Reht grunted to himself as he watched Adela finally fall, not resisting when Adela took the knife from her neck. She was dead; no one could survive that, he figured. His employer mentioned something about getting proof, he remembered. He never thought much on looting the dead, but he quickly swiped her sword, sheathed it on the bloodstained strap across his chest, and walked off as quickly as he could, deciding not to try to kill Delano and just get back to his employer. He killed her though...that he was prideful of; his record was intact.
Nobody beat Reht.

Canderous watched helplessly as Adela droped. he had failed.... he should have jumped in, he should have stoped Rhet before this got out of hand.

But he didn't. This was his fault.

He turned to Rhet, enraged. "Hey, you sorry sonofab*tch! I'm calling you out, you hear me? I'm gonna get you for this!!" He shouted, with drawing his trenchblades and crossing them in front of him, numerous spikes of Ice forming around him.

Shade had decided that he ditched these people a lot anyways, despite the 'need' for them to stick together, so he had flown off a while ago by himself. I probably should get that necklace back from Reht... he thought blandly as he gazed over the area.

"Oh, f--- off..." Reht growled, pulling his sword back into fighting stance, flaming once more from Adela's blood.
"She was gonna die eventually." he growled, flames starting to worm from the blade and licking at the ice.

"And so are you, we ALL die. Only some-" THe ice suddenly vaporized, and he threw up a fog again. "-sooner than others." He said, and began to manuver about the mist. He could see the flaming sword easily, but he knew by constantly moving about the fog, Rhet wouldn't be able to see him easily nor catch him without dificulty. Plus, this was a port city- there was no shortage of moisture nor water here. This was his turf, and for Adela's sake, he didn't plan on loosing.

"True there." Reht growled, cussing under his breath at the fog, normally he'd just set what he could on fire, but the mist prevented too much flame.
"Of course I wasn't the only one after her. Even if I'd lost you'd just be doing this fight with someone else." he went on. He gripped onto his sword with both hands and looked around, temporarily killing the fire; he only had so much fuel to run on before he had to stab someone else...

Canderous Kept quiet in the fog- the last thing he needed to do was give his position away. he felt incredible amounts of Deja'Vu, but he couldn't help it- he was goign to stick with what worked and end this fight fast. He aimed Carefuly for joints and other points of mobility, and tactically shot several ice spikes at Rhet.

Reht had taken a step towards just walking away and screwing everything, when several pieces of ice punctured him in various spots.
"You know you've got to be the most annoying kid I've seen." he growled as his sword wormed fire toward the ice to melt it. He was bleeding a lot now, and found it harder to move; although he could still move, since a few missed from his attempted retreat.
"Damn it for all you know the girl ain't even dead and you're dooming her by not giving her the care she needs." he grumbled under his breath, not believing his own words and just trying to get Canderous to leave. He was inching toward the edge of the fog as he soaked up the blood with his sword.

Shade was scanning over the land when he noticed a fog bank, Delano sitting on the ground unmoving and...Adela laying dead...? That couldn't be right. He swooped down to the area and looked around, completely dismissing the fog bank.
"What the hell happened here?" he said genuinely surprised.

While ret was carousing about in the mist, Canderous had left after the initial round of Ice pikes and was already helping Adela. He complied with Delano, and carefuly pulle dout the knife, albeit it still looked soemhwat painful. "You wanna finish him, or can I?" Canderous asked, jabbing a thumb at the mist cloud as he began to examine Adela for any telltale signs of being alive.
{He left Rhet in the fog.... ain't he just an ass?}

(Oi! ...he was stood up? XD)

Shade looked at Canderous emerge from the fog.
"Ok, what is going on in there?" he almost yelled, he was getting frustrated that this happened without his knowing.

Reht continued his inching toward the edge of the fog until he was eventually outside of it completely, walking away to wherever, muttering something about damned kids.

Shade blinked.
"Oh." was all he managed to say.
"Well if he's walking away it means he got what he needed...so even though Adela's alive we won't see him again for a long time." he muttered to himself, speaking his thoughts unintentionally. Though... he thought as he flew straight towards Reht, slinking through his shadow and nabbing the black necklace. He flew back to Delano and Canderous.

Reht watched a jet of fire fly towards him, thinking it horribly ironic. He sidestepped out of the way slightly, still getting a lick of fire burning his arm. He kept limping away.
