"Name's Animator. And unless you want your own weapons attacking you, I suggest you shut the hell up with the 'Kid' and 'lassie'. " Animator hissed in reply.

Irish accents had always annoyed her.

Pretty much everything had always annoyed her.

Slade was about to make a crass comment at Timekeeper's expense when the building shuddered violently. "The hell-" Slade spurted as it shook again, and began to tip to the side. Peering over the side, he Noticed one of the massive Mauler's hammering at the building down below...

Timekeeper steadied herself with her cane. "What the bloody hell was that?!"

Callicsh searched through drawers and fridges that were supposed to have energy drink heaven. The entire shop was ransacked, but he felt like he needed to stay in until the next day. He say with his birds. They looked hungry. Not that he could talk with them, but he just knew; having being stuck with them for such a long time. "Don't worry..." He basically said to himself. "When they come, you can have your feast." They didn't understand him, but he knew someone was on his back.

Animator crouched to the ground to steady herself. "No doubt one of those," she struggled to think of a word, "creatures." she finally settled for. "I've only seen one or two of them. Nasty looking beasts. Human shaped, but zombie like." she described the Mirrors she had seen best as she could. She doubted they could be doing this, but you never know.

"THAT isn't human shaped!" Slade shouted, pointing as the Mauler continued to bash into the building semeing to be almost enjoying itself as rubble and brick was pounded in the wake of it's fists. Figuring now was an excelent time to leave, he spared no time in making his way for the fire- escape and dashing down at top speed, as the building began to tip and topple. "I suggest running. Unless of course you WANT to die, in which case, bye all means." Slade shouted over his shoudler at the others.

The Skeith continued to observe the building Callicsh was in, and decided to make his presence known. Emerging from semeingly nowhere inside the building, he spoke with an almost eeire fluidity. "Interesting, you humans really DO have a unique smell for fear." It noted, sounding like a scientist that just observed soemhting under a microscope.

Animator was quick to follow, dashing quickly through and after Slade. She jumped, flipping over his head and kept running until she was a good distance from the building. "Bah, that was not the creature I'd seen before." she retorted, catching her breath.

"Crap." Timekeeper limped over to the fire escape and followed Slade as fast as she could. The gears in her robotic foot creaked loudly as she clanked along.

"Mrrrf!" c'mon you overgrown space bug!" is that all you got? said Brakas as he was blocking the continus blows from the alien commander. im just getting warmed up! brakas then jumped back and used his gravitic powers to slam the commander into the nearest building whith a loud CRUNCH! but this didn't even injure the commander and before brakas could react the commander was 1 foot in front of him and with a swift slice, the commander chopped off his right arm. GAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHH! screamed brakas as he fell to the ground clenching the stub where his arm used to be. "s-so are you g-guhhhh... brakas then passed out from the pain of his missing arm and he fell to the groud with a thud.

The commander snickered as he sheathed his blade. "What a pitiful species." He said arrogantly. "What do we do witht he body?" One alien asked hungrily. The commander pondered for a second, himself considering making Brakas a quick meal. "Leave him- it'll prove an example of what we do to those that get in our way." He ordered, and motioned for his troops to head out.

Slade looked at Animator and timekeeper. They were an odd batch- a brit with a robo leg that could control time, a two-toned assasin, and an edgy- looking woman. Slade turned to them. "Before we go on running for our lives becasue the aliens are using the city as a playground, we need some kind of information on their plans and intent." He suggested. "Perhaps that Monster-class alien in charge of the troops from earlier?"

Animator thought this over. "Perhaps," she began, "But it looked like more of the all muscle, no brains kind of creature. And if it does, very limited brains. Enough to let us escape while it continued pounding a building." She brushed some strands of hair out of her face. "As for information, we'd have better luck with a rock than that creature."

"But the Monster commander- it would at least know somehting fo stregic locations, bases, or at least their objective." Slade suggested. in combat, knowledge was power.... and Slade liked power.

"Say if we did manage to get it to speak, what are the chances it knows English? Or any language we'd understand?" Animator replied, in another attempt to refute his suggestion. "I say, if there are two of these aliens that are different species, there must be many more. Those zombie things I had seen couldn't be the leader. More like scouts. That creature would be the muscle. Zombies are our better chance of information, and easier to handle, too."

"But the commander we saw was just down the road- it would take time to find one of the humanoids or a different species, sans the living wrecking crew from earlier. I think the one with the sword is our best bet. Besides, as he spoke to the man he was fighting earlier, he seemed to at least understand basic english." Slade pointed out. Using his advanced hearing, he had caught some of the verbal exchange, and he caught some of what must have been english.

It was about 2 hours....or less Brakas lost count how long he'd been out. With his arm gone it was verry dificult to stand up but as soon as Brakas got to his feet he tore a peice from his clothes to wrap up the stub on his arm and then he set off to find the other figures he saw during his fight. he also tied up his arm and then jumped onto the nearby ruined hotel. "If anyone can fix this it has to be one of them" Brakas said.

Animator caved. It was apparent that no matter how many flaws she pointed out, they'd end up questioning that monster sooner or later. "Fine, fine." she waved a hand dismissively. "Let's go question the alien invader that could vaporize us in a hot second. Perfect idea." she hissed, turning around and starting the way towards the creature. Weapons? She had none. Would she need some? Probably, but I'm heading to my own funeral anyway. the villainess thought.

Knowing that the aliens could be back at any moment to finish him off, brakas made haste to find slade. to brakas, slade looked like one of those people that are good with medical technology. if anyone could fix his severed arm, it had to be him. and after about 45 minutes of searching, he finally came across slade. "Excuse me, but by any chance do you know how to rerattach a severed arm?" Brakas asked.

(o_o.... Whats going on? Sorry, I've been outta town DX!)

[Brakas got mauled by the commander, whom the others are planning to capture and make talk.]

Slade glanced at brakas. "IF we did, why bother? The recovery time would be months, and in that time, you would mereley be a burden- we don't run a general hospital here." Slade said sourly.

"Well if you cant reattatch my arm can you at least build a prosthetic?" Brakas said. i cant kill aliens with ONE ARM! Brakas continued to stare at slade hoping to get a good response but knowing slade he prepared for a big fat FORGET IT! in the face.

"Begone, you. We aren't running a walk-in clinc here! We can't just sit down in the middle of an alien ifnested town and perform hours and hours of surgery!" Slade said, making a shoo- motion with his hand.

Meanwhile, the alien commander got a good whiff of Brakas's blood. Apaprently, he hadn't finished the job after all. "About face, we have to finish some business." He ordered the others.

Yeeahhh i thought so...but......"OH FORGET IT"! said brakas and he unwraped his severed arm, placed it on the stub where his arm was and began sewing it together with his energy. and brakas wasnt the best sugeon but his arm was back in place but still bleeding at the joints. he attempted to move his arm and he barely was able to lift his pointer finger. his entire arm was still limp.

"So, what are we going to do now?" Timekeeper asked, leaning on her cane.

Animator turned around, annoyed. "Leave Stubby, and keep going. One arm less makes him more worthless than he already seems." She stated, narrowing her eyes at Brakas. "As Slade already said, " she continued, biting back the temptation to call Slade "Metal Face", "It'd be more dead weight."

However, a sneaky idea began to crop into her mind...
