My Poem: Raven the Rose

A poem about a saying I've heard...(Some complain roses have thorns, others rejoice that thorns have roses.)

Raven the Rose

Raven is rose.
Pretty, and love adorned
But if she's the girl you chose,
Careful. Every rose has a thorn.

If Raven was simply a rose,
It'd be terrible, don't you know?
Always happy, and beauty grows
Near perfection, complete with a halo.

But what is perfection?
Never sad? Never dreary?
Now pay attention.
I would rather have a friend who grew weary,
who wasn't always of joy,
sometimes even eerie.
who sometimes worried about a boy.

But of course, perfection isn't possible
And for that, I am thankful.

But what if she was all a thorn?
Not much fun either, I bet.
All she'd do is cry and scorn.
Never happy, always upset.

Not enjoyable either, now you see.
But, you're still thinking,aren't you?
How is Raven a rose, what possibility?
For those who don't know, I'll happily show.

Raven is smart.
Kind as well.
She has a big heart,
and is not your common belle.

With intentions sweet,
and words sometimes unkind,
Raven can do any amazing feat.
I'm glad, she's a friend of mine.

Every rose has a thorn,

Always there to scorn,
But always there with praise she bestows.

For those who don't get it, I'm saying how everybody has a good side and a bad side. But it doesn't matter, as long as you keep them balanced. I chose Raven because, she was only born to be a portal but was still hopeful, and happy (Even if she hid it.) I hope you liked it, as I don't think it came out that well.
