Nothing against the book itself, I've never read it, and don't intend to, but from what I've heard it sounds like bad fanfiction, and from what I've been advertised, it is. The whole thing seems to fall apart with the simple asking of the question 'Why?'
And again nothing against the books, or their fans, if it wasn't this that it would simply be something else, but what truly concerns me is how much it's be hailed as 'a triumph' or whatnot, it's not a triumph, it's fanfiction, treat it as such.
I shudder to think that if this is what is hailed as good writing, than what will happen when other writers attempt to emulate this 'good writing' and fall short...

They're all terrible books, take my word for it. I'd like to say two is the worst, but four has all the same plodding, plotless faux-action as two, with the added bonus of crimes against humanity.
