Keep in mind that while we know Bruce isn't really dead, the denizens of the DCU found a corpse. In comic land that's pretty much the only definitive evidence you can get that someone is dead. One of the mysteries lately has been "if Batman is alive, then whom is the corpse Superman found". Dick wants his mentor, father figure and best friend back, so possible consequences be damned, he's going to put the body in the pit, not knowing it apparently isn't Bruce Wayne/Batmans. Next issue is "Batman vs Batman", which means the corpse revives and fights him. It's pretty safe to say Dick is going to find out Bruce is alive - or at least suspect it - after he finds out that corpse isn't really Bruce's.

On Black Hand running around with the skull of "Bruce Wayne", he doesn't really have it anymore. He used it to create an image of a Black Lantern Batman, which manages to get the heroes overcome with emotion. Once that was done, it was discarded, which is how it ended up in Dick's hands again.

Here's some bit of news I'm totally jazzed, and a little apprehensive about.
I met with my instructor today and he says that if I take good classes next quarter I can have myself an Animation & Game Design AAS degree by the end of next session!

You know who I hate? Sarah Palin.

You wanna know why? sh*t LIKE THIS.

Is she actually suggesting that Americans overthrow the government and start over fresh? Or is she just a frakking retard who can't understand just how potentially volatile a suggestion of revolution can be? I'm willing to go with the latter, but if that's really the case, then that says pages about what an irresponsible speaker (and human being, in general) she is.

Taken out of context, that statement can be very powerful. And the base she's appealing to, the lowest common denominator, are just goddamn stupid enough to take what she said out of context and do something about it! Seriously, these are people who protested Obama over taxes levied by the Bush Administration!

Remember when she talked about Obama "palling around with terrorists?" The Bill Ayers connection was stupid enough, but then factor in all the people who took what she said out of context and decided that Obama was in league with Al-Qaida. Her recent statement just eclipses the previous one in terms of sheer, utter stupidity.

If something awful should come of this, God forbid, then I pray that Sarah Palin's career will be ruined. I hope that people will finally see her as the hate-spreading witch that she really is. I'd rather have someone who provides empty promises about hope and change in charge of my country than a morally bankrupt hatemonger.

To be fair America is the lowest common denominator. People have grown fat and content and expect our government to do whatever it has to make our lives easier rather than make our lives better. People don't want to have to actually deal with things anymore Snake. People want someone who will pat them on the head and tell them they can have the shiny new toy if they do what their mommies and daddies tell them to.

I hate it myself, but I have to admit it's true, but people are idiots. I mean even looking at the horribly skewed sample of people here on the forum, over half of them I would classify as lower then average. This isn't an insult directed at anyone particular just to make my intentions clear.

But more and more it seems like people everywhere just care about themselves. Sarah Palin isn't trying to improve the world, she's just trying to improve her name recognition. Heck the world would be better off if the republicans had left her in Alaska to freeze the rest of her braincells, rather than dragging her out into the light of day where she could thaw out and release he crazy upon the rest of us.

The worst part of it is that had she been left alone, none of this would've happened. She would've been a happy and content idiot governor of her state and that would be the end of it. But because someone poked her with a stick, and the public reacted to her the way it did she got to realize she had the power to divide people. That some people, like those of us with a high school degree, hate her, and some people love her.

And because we're such an egotistical society now she simply has to go and invoke the people who love her into hating the people who hate her, because if they hate her than they must be wrong.

It drive me up a wall, and to be honest, I know a couple of people who I could totally see turning into Pailn if given the same series of events that she was. They're people who never grew out of being the 'popular one.' All they have is that annoying ability to make people who don't want to think for themselves, like them. Because let's get it out in the open, thinking is hard and anyone who says otherwise is a liar, thinking is hard but it's well worth the effort. But now because people like that are allowed to exist because the rest of us know better than to walk up to them and hit them with a club, because guess what, intelligent people recognize that there are consequence to their actions. So we sit back and watch as those who lack the essential part of their brain which tells them that something is a bad idea ruin the rest of the world for us.

And this isn't even new! This kind of sh*t has been going on for freaking hundreds of years. Do you know why people have to trim their trees? Because idiots like to climb without figuring out how to get back down! Do you know why there are nine different kinds of safety locks on dangerous devices? Because idiots are idiots!! If the entire world was intelligent the world would be a better place, there'd be one nation for the entire planet. We'd have colonized other worlds by now, and our society would probably be communist because, while they might not be able to make a decent cheese burger, they can organize things better than a medicated monkey.
