I hate it myself, but I have to admit it's true, but people are idiots. I mean even looking at the horribly skewed sample of people here on the forum, over half of them I would classify as lower then average. This isn't an insult directed at anyone particular just to make my intentions clear.

But more and more it seems like people everywhere just care about themselves. Sarah Palin isn't trying to improve the world, she's just trying to improve her name recognition. Heck the world would be better off if the republicans had left her in Alaska to freeze the rest of her braincells, rather than dragging her out into the light of day where she could thaw out and release he crazy upon the rest of us.

The worst part of it is that had she been left alone, none of this would've happened. She would've been a happy and content idiot governor of her state and that would be the end of it. But because someone poked her with a stick, and the public reacted to her the way it did she got to realize she had the power to divide people. That some people, like those of us with a high school degree, hate her, and some people love her.

And because we're such an egotistical society now she simply has to go and invoke the people who love her into hating the people who hate her, because if they hate her than they must be wrong.

It drive me up a wall, and to be honest, I know a couple of people who I could totally see turning into Pailn if given the same series of events that she was. They're people who never grew out of being the 'popular one.' All they have is that annoying ability to make people who don't want to think for themselves, like them. Because let's get it out in the open, thinking is hard and anyone who says otherwise is a liar, thinking is hard but it's well worth the effort. But now because people like that are allowed to exist because the rest of us know better than to walk up to them and hit them with a club, because guess what, intelligent people recognize that there are consequence to their actions. So we sit back and watch as those who lack the essential part of their brain which tells them that something is a bad idea ruin the rest of the world for us.

And this isn't even new! This kind of sh*t has been going on for freaking hundreds of years. Do you know why people have to trim their trees? Because idiots like to climb without figuring out how to get back down! Do you know why there are nine different kinds of safety locks on dangerous devices? Because idiots are idiots!! If the entire world was intelligent the world would be a better place, there'd be one nation for the entire planet. We'd have colonized other worlds by now, and our society would probably be communist because, while they might not be able to make a decent cheese burger, they can organize things better than a medicated monkey.
