They're still doing this? It's been, what, four years since they started? I assumed they'd long since given up.

Anyway, guys, don't compare yourselves; it isn't healthy. Just stick to what youe're doing and don't start building resentments or rivalries.

For the record, I'm against this and will look into it.

I'm not sure a thread dealing with sexual orientation is entirely appropriate on a forum where the majority of the members are well under the age of connect anywhere.

Not to mention it's a touchy subject and seems like a powder keg just waiting to go off. I cast my vote for either leaving it locked or erasing it all together.

I doubt anything good will come of inviting such discussions among under-aged individuals.

For the record, I didn't lock it, I don't know who did, but they probably made the right decisions from the logical stand point. Though this 'hotspot' member certainly shouldn't be penalized. He's new and probably doesn't realize the average age on the forum yet.

Stigmatizing the issue only makes it that much worse. I ask you to reconsider; at the first sign that the topic is heading into uncivilized territory, feel free to close the thread down again.

I leave the decision to more veteran administrators, the thread seems to me like a problem waiting to happen, but that's simply my opinion.

I had called for the locking of the thread. I spoke with hotspot about the issue, and in all honesty, I only wanted to prevent ostracization and victimization. Shadow agreed, so we locked the thread for now, until a senior member could handle the situation accordingly. I think the very idea of this thread is detrimental to the longevity of this forum. I stand with Decievergod.

There're like...three or four people who got butthurt for one reason or another. Mykan's sort of the poster child for ex-members who failed so epically that they were banned, so he decided to start his own forum and it'd be better and awesomer than ours and it'd have a pool and a patio and we weren't invited so nyeh.

Then it got hacked.

Now it's just basically a palette-swap of this forum where little girls gather to go "OMG" among their own kind.

Everybody can be prejudicial at times. In regards to homosexuality, I would like to think that I am not. I even spoke with the member in question, he's a nice guy. I called for the thread to be closed, and it was because I did not believe that a serious discussion about ANY orientation was pertinent to anything that this website pertains to. Honestly, can't we all get along without having to know eachother's sexual preference? It really has nothing to do with preference. I would have done the same thing if somebody had posted a thread discussing whether blondes were better than brunettes in bed. Please, try not to take it personally, even the member in question didn't.

This is a forum designed predominately for KIDS, but also happens to be appealing to those upward of 18. Let's try and remember that.
