No need to be snide buddy, this was about protection, not persecution. I understand the reason you feel defensive and can appreciate that on some level, but this subject has no place here.

I just think it's a little naive to think that, with all the differing views on homosexuality that might well be on this forum, in our admin staff, that some prejudice didn't play at all into the closing of that thread.

Everybody can be prejudicial at times. In regards to homosexuality, I would like to think that I am not. I even spoke with the member in question, he's a nice guy. I called for the thread to be closed, and it was because I did not believe that a serious discussion about ANY orientation was pertinent to anything that this website pertains to. Honestly, can't we all get along without having to know eachother's sexual preference? It really has nothing to do with preference. I would have done the same thing if somebody had posted a thread discussing whether blondes were better than brunettes in bed. Please, try not to take it personally, even the member in question didn't.

This is a forum designed predominately for KIDS, but also happens to be appealing to those upward of 18. Let's try and remember that.

I get why you wanted to close the thread; it wasn't out of prejudice. I don't agree with your reasoning, but at least you weren't being a jackass about it.

At the same time, I feel like it that was used as a convenient excuse to have it closed.

I know where you are coming from man, but me and shadow were the only ones on when it was closed. We were on the cb with the member in question, and we decided to close down the thread. He didn't seem to have a problem with it, and I am fairly certain that he understood that it wasn't out of spite or disdain that we did so. I didn't want to come off as being pejorative or callous, and I'm not telling anybody what's right or wrong, I just don't want it to be an issue HERE.

There's plenty of larger issues everywhere. But a forum dedicated to a cartoon show isn't exactly the proper forum, as I recall sometime past there was a 'religion' thread that had a similar innocent nature, but ended up being a point of major distention among the members.

Religion and Politics have no place at the dinner table, and little place here. This is about the Teen Titans.

Now if you wanna start a threat about their possible sexual preferences/orientation... Razz

For all y'all other Floridians on this site, correct me if i'm wrong, but according to my Aunt, President Obama wants to terminate ''FCAT''. (Florida Comprehension Assessment Test.) I was told this notion of his has something to do with ''Test Anxiety''. You can't graduate without passing ''FCAT'' (Either in 10th or 12th grade) and that may be too stressful for some students, i guess. I personally don't think its fair for graduation to depend solely on a test.

The creators of Totally Spies came out with a totally gay mock off of Yu-Gi-Oh.. Which wasn't even good to begin with. Come to think of it I didn't watch any of those shows.
