The Darkest of Knights

Dick looked down in disappointment, also the fact that his student would do such a thing. He was Zero. He looked up at Casius, "So, where's your daughter? Should we reunite with her?" He asked. "But then what are we going to do? Do you think Poison Ivy found the tracker on Karmy?" Barbara asked. "I mean you said Cyrah kept following them, they might have picked up on something. Knowing Poison Ivy, she isn't an idiot."

Sure enough, Poison Ivy came in with a girl in hospital attire and fancy shoes. Alice kept to herself, Karmy was here.. The store became quiet, as seeing Poison Ivy just waltz into a coffee shop isn't a normal thing in this city (actually it was pretty normal, but she's Poison Ivy... Dammit). Alice krept her hand into her side belt, a flash grenade rested silently there. She unclipped it as they got to the desk. They placed their order which was rushed and free seeing how they didn't want to get strangled to death. As they began to walk out--the store half empty now--Alice tossed the flash grenade. She ran up really quickly and grabbed Karmy's hand running out.

Quinn, blinded by the sudden flash, could only let herself be dragged by the person who had grabbed her. She assumed that it was Poison Ivy. "Gah! What happened? I can't see!" she felt herself sat down and she rubbed her eyes to try and clear them up. After a few minutes, her vision began to return and she looked up, still blinking. A blond woman with a ominous fadora stood over her. She gasped and backed up, hitting a whall. "W-Who are you?! Where's Poison Ivy?"

"What? Poison Iv-?! Karm, look at me, you don't recognize me at all? Dammit. Cas was right.." She thought to herself. They were in an alley way and people were running away. "Karmy its me. Alice? Alice Mau? You saved my life.. Remember? Truth and honor and all that jazz?" She asked taking off her fedora in hopes that she might recognize her.

(Oh! Opps! No the dissapointment came from no being able to get his memory back XP)

A sudden memory came to Quinn. Unfortunately for Alice, it wasn't a good one.

Malice pointed her knife to Quinns neck...

"If you're gonna hold knife up at someone you'd better be prepared slit their throat!"

She took a swipe at Quinn..

Quinn touched the scar on her neck. "You! You were the one that did this to me!" she accused. Looking around her, she saw a beer bottle in a trash can. She grabbed it by the neck and broke it. She spun around and pointed it at Alice. "You tried killed me!"

[Ah, gotcha']

Casius pondered. "Well, there is one other option I can think of, but...." he traile doff, hesitant. "Nevermind, it's a really bad idea. You're better off waiting for them to come back the old fashioned way." Casius said, placing his hand on a table. Eager to change the subject, he noticed the papoers dealing with Rose wilson. "Huh, wasn't she a Titan way way back in the day?" He asked.

"Karmy.." She said breathing heavily, "I died and was brought back to life as a Black Lantern operative, you dragged me with you, we fought side by side, when I needed a friend you were there. I was enslaved by Slade, my mind was poisoned, and you saved my life." She said tears rolling down her face, "Its time for me to repay the favor.." She said looking down and waiting for her best friend to attack her.

Dick looked at the papers, examined them. "If she was a Titan she wasn't apart of my unit. She's been bugging th hell out of me, why if she was a Titan, would she get my mind wrapped around Slade at a time like this. You obviously know her more than I do Cas. Talk."

Quinn looked at her, a tad puzzled at her words. But the memory was so clear! Shaking her head "Youre lying!" and she lunged at her, bottle raised.

Alice parried her, grabbing her hand with the bottle and twisting it out of her hand letting it drop to the floor. She turned her around so quickly Karmy didn't know what happened, next think she knew she was starring at her reflection in a nearby puddle. "Look at yourself! What would Casey think of you now?!" She said still crying, she let her go and Karmy took a step back facing Alice. "You think I would cry if I didn't care for you?! This isn't like you Karmy Anderson.. This isn't like you."

Rose continued to observe the city from her perch above gotham, a gargoyle to her left, and Ami to her left. "So, what is the plan now Mrs. Wilson?" She asked. "Well, our next plan sho-" She was interupted mid-sentence by the tell-tale sound of a grenade detonating off in the distance. She turned ehr head to the scource of the distraction and noticed an unfamiliar girl... and someone else. it was like Rose had just won the lottery- six years of searching, and there she was, in plain veiw.

Rose followed the pair from the rooftops, and observed fighting between them. Rose didn't need 90% of her brain to tell what the smart move would be. She was going to keep it simple- she twisted a knob on her ear bubble, and watched:

Cinderblock knew all too well when he was wanted, and the signaling devicewas blaring anyways. Again in his familiar form, he ran to the proximity of the alarm, and realized two girls figting. Well, seemed like he might get a bit of fun thsi time.

Tearing through the concrete and stone of the roads above him, his massive form emerged, and he loomed threateningly before the two. With his hands together like a club, he swung at Mercy...

Alice didn't saw it coming but was too late in dodging the attack, her body crashed into the opposing wall and fell to the floor. She coughed blood and shook her head. Her mouth felt pain and she deduced that it was blood from her mouth and not her body. She was happy at that; dizzy, standing, looking at Cinderblock. "Oh sh*t..." Alice looked at Karmy who was backing away. Her flannel button down and jeans were soiled, and she couldn't find her fedora. She had to deal with Cinderblock, possibly Poison Ivy, and Karmy. She couldn't wait for night to fall.

"We should get moving to Greenwich." Seab muttered to John, turning and walking away, wishing he could just transform and fly there.

E-Lu, scanning the city as he had for years, noticed the fight near the coffee shop, unsure what was happening at the moment, he continued watching. "Always fighting..." he muttered to himself, a hint of a sad tone in his voice.

"Stop calling me that! Quinn is my name!" Quinn asked but Cinder knocked Alice away. "Oh shi-" she stared at the towering man thing. She started backing away, scared out of her wits. "What the hell is that!?" she looked at Alice. "I don't know but I'd rather not stick around to find out!" and they both made a break for it.

Meanwhile, Poison Ivy had recovered from the flash grenade. And she was piiiiiiiiissssed!

"Dammit Karmy! You don't have to be Sherlock f**king Holmes to know your name is on your hospital bracelet in big bold letters with your birthdate!!" She said running with her as a car flew behind them and a raging Cinderblock came running after them. "Happy birthday buddy!"

Casius raised an eyebrow. "I assumed YOU knew. Maybe it was one of the other Robins, maybe... oh well. Rose wilson, Daughter of Slade wilson, she branched off from him, joined the titans, and fought for peace and justice and all that cliche' crap. She probably flipped her lid when she heard about her old man going up in flames. I'm curious as to why YOU have so much curiosity on the subject- it wouldn't be you she would want." Casius explained.

"Tim Drake maybe? Could be. I was Nightwing the moment we finished off The Brotherhood of evil, well maybe a year later but still. Why would she tamper my obsession with Slade?" He asked, thought about it and snapped "I lets pretend I didn't say obsessed!" Dick said in defense. "You're obsessed." Barbara yawned. Dick let his head droop. "Slade... maybe she wanted me to keep me busy with that knowing my... preoccupied mind, with something else. Why though?" He shook his head. "Anyways.." Dick jabbered, "what do you want us to do Casius? Alice is already out there."

"What are you-?" Quinn looked down at her wrist and noticed a hospital bracelet, which she had somehow managed to miss over the past few hours. "What the he-ACK!" vines suddenly wrapped around her torso and pulled her away from the rampaging Cinderblock. Poison Ivy grabbed the bracelet and ripped it from Quinns wrist. "Don't listen to her Quinn! They only put this on you to make you think thats your name. They're labeling you so they can ship you off to some lab. They want to use you and then slaughter you like livestock!" she looked Quinn directly in the eyes, never blinking. "They are controling you..."

She stopped and looked at the two women. "Karmy.." Alice whispered sadly, her heart sinking drastrically. Cinderblock punched her back with a downward fist. Knocking her out cold. The solid brick man picked up the limp body of Alice and turned away, walking slowly. Out of sight.

[;-; Q_Q!! Great... Now they're BOTH in deep trouble ;-; ;-; ;-;]

[Al told me cinderblock control can go to mercy whenever she sees fit, but control of Rose and Gemini remain exclusive to her.]

Casius pondered for a second. "Well, it dosen't add up- going into public would drive you bananas, no secret about that, but her target would make more sense to be Mer-" Casius suddenly came to a realization. "You, get a move on- you need to get Mercy back here, and you need to do it NOW." Casius said, ugency in his voice.

Quinn blinked and shook her head, turning away from Poison Ivys eyes. She was still in the vines grip and she looked to see where Alice was. She made eye contact with her, and something flashed in her head.

Malice looked at Karmy who seemed mesmerized by the spectacle. "It'll be for the best. Trust me, as a friend." Malice had had her arm around her shoulder as a sister would to induce a sense of security among her sibling.

K-Quinns eyes widened when the memory flashed. But then Cinderblock hit Alice. "NO! MERCY!!" she screamed and started to struggle. Posion Ivy cursed underneath her breath and quickly pulled out a DMT plant and held it under Quinns nose. The noxious fumes soon had her hanging limp in the vines grasp and Poison Ivy dragged her unconscious body away.

(Okay yeah sorry... Like I didn't know what to do... Sorry XP)

Dick looked confused for a minute. "Mercy? You mean Alice? Why do you keep calling her that and what's the problem?" He got up knowing it must be important to move to the Batcave. "Barbara, Nicole, Casius... Follow me." He said sternly.

"It was her cape-'n-cowl name back during the Lantern thing. And you don't need to get to the batcave, you need to get your ass moving- think about it, who killed Rose's father? Who does it make sense to distract you from so she can get her revenge?" Casius asked, in a more urgent tone. If she was anything like her old man, Rose wasn't going to give any thoughts of restraint a second.
