The Darkest Knight: Road Trippin'

Alright so, I'm just opening this thread right now before I head off to classes. I'm pretty sure everyone already knows the deal with this RP but, nevertheless, I'll write a description later for those who don't.

A good month after the events of TDK, which makes it a day after Christmas, news of a new villain, Drain-O, causing trouble in downtown Gotham draws the heroes attention and they spring into action. Unfortunately, it's a trap. Upon arrival, a rumble between the heroes and Drain-Os henchmen goes down. Once they're taken care of, the search for the "mastermind" begins, but he finds them first...

Later on, the character's that have been affected during the battle, must travel across the Country and over the Pacific ocean to Oahu, Hawaii to meet Drain-O so they can fight to get back what they lost.

SO! What I need from you guys is what characters you're using. Any character that is a metahuman will lose their powers in the beginning of the RP, just to let you know. (EX: Karmy will lose her ability to portal, Cyrah loses her hypnotism and so on and so forth)

If you have anything that you would like to add to the RP, feel free to shoot me a PM! Just don't shoot me... I'll post the route and states that they'll be traveling through later. This is a real lenient RP, so don't be shy about throwing an idea in!

Well I want to use all my characters, but only one or two might go on the trip. I was thinking Babs could join in, but figured she might be working on her father's funeral arrangements. Then again it is the end of the month and she could use a "vacation." We'll see how things go.

That works for me and besides, Dick's not allowed to go on the trip, or thus says Murphy's Law. Just think about who's gonna go, consider who can get along with the other passengers and all that what not.

What? I wasn't planning on Dick to go, you can is in my last post for DoK that he nor Damian wasn't going.

Christmas Eve, the night when all the good little boys and girl’s were eagerly awaiting to hear the pitter patter of reindeer hooves on their roofs and the soft plump of Santa’s bag landing in their, more or likely ignited, fireplace. If Santa was real, the poor fat man would be set ablaze every time he tried slide down the chimney.

Or he’s just a fire-bender. Yes, that makes much more sense! Santa is the Firelord of the fire nation! But that’s a story for another time… Meanwhile, most of the adults were either setting up for Christmas morning or simply enjoying each other’s company. But of course, not everyone’s that lucky. By 2031, Christmas had taken a nosedive straight into the media induced pile of candy cane’s and low low prices of meaningless materialistic gift.

Ergo, while children sleep in their beds and nasty thought’s run through old people’s heads, what are the heroes’ of the world up to? Superman was probably playing Santa for a few orphanages because he’s that big of a boy scout. Aquaman, well, he has a trident, what else needs to be said? Wonder Woman was probably playing as Super Santa’s helpful elf and Flash, well, he was trying to get Steve Jobs to include him in his products, more or likely. But those are other cities; let’s travel up to Gotham to join our heroes.

For now, all was peaceful in dear old Gotham city. All the big time villains were in the Arkham slammer and any other criminals were too scared to venture out into the cold streets of Gotham, right? Who knows, after the event’s of the previous month, lot’s of low life’s hunkered down for a while and any that did were taken care of as fast as a wiener dog going after a hamster. Make sense? No? Well it’s not supposed to! You hear m-!

*a-hem*

So, what are our beloved heroes up to on such a fine evening of celebration and an unnatural amount of sanity? Well, they were at Wayne Manor, enjoying the holidays with a party of their own of course! Everyone was there, despite the fact some of them didn’t exactly see eye to eye on some factors. It was Christmas Eve after all, who could pull a frown on such an occasion?

Karmy sure couldn’t, even though her boyfriend had been given the horrible task of working on Christmas eve, she was still just as happy and joyful as ever as she sang a delightful Christmas song as she stood on the couch, a glass of champagne in her hands;

“Jingle Bells
Batman Smells
Robin Laid an Egg
The Batmobile Lost a Wheel
And Joker got awaaaayyyy!”

"Well you can't beat a good classic Christmas song! well sung Karmy!" Crimson said as he applauded her song. Taking a big swig of egg nog, Crimson went by the fire, warmed his hands, and sat back down and continued chatting and enjoying the festivities with everyone on this peaceful christmas eve.

Dick lay back, his arm over his pregnant wife—both dressed for the season—and scoffed in all sarcasm, "I might smell, and Robin might lay eggs, but ever since Jason stole the tires from the Batmobile, Bruce designed a fullproof system on the Batmobile's wheels, and The Joker is imprisoned at Arkham. So I have to say that song is 50% accurate." In which Barbara lightly punched Dick's arm. "That song never mentions me y'know." Barbara laughed. "Batgirl's not that popular. You should really look into merchandise Babs. Like Batgirl Tamp-" Barbara punched Dick again. Playfully of course, but it still hurt.

Damian didn't expect anything for Christmas, this had been technically his first he has ever had with any sort of real family. Still, he had his arm around Nicole like there was no tomorrow. It seemed to him as if there was some sort of strange spirit in the atmosphere, it felt strange. Damian felt like there was something preventing him from breathing, the warmness overwhelmed him in a strange way, despite the chilling 26º outside. This was considered a warm day in December for Gotham though, just last week it was 30º bellow 0º. He turned to Dick and Barbara playing around. "Do I have to separate you two?" Damian's face as serious as any day of the year. "Damian, I wouldn't say anything, you're dating your niece!" Barbara bantered back at him. "Sh-shut up!"

"Hey Alice! You joining us or what..?" Dick called upstairs.

(I won't bring in Drain-O till everyone makes at least one opening post)

"That's just.. wrong.." Karmy scooted far away from Nicole and Damian. "That's what I call incest." she feigned vomiting. After downing her drink in a few gulps, Karmy snuck past everyone and tip-toed upstairs to find Alice. "Hey Al, wanna come down?" she asked with a smile when she found her best friend.

Alice looked at her door, her name was propped up on the outside of the elegant wood in a gold plate, her name, inscribed in. This was her room. Hearing her friend calling to her she put down the mirror she was looking into to reply to Karmy. "I'm coming.." She said softly. She wasn't dressed as everyone else was, she wasn't as festive, nor happy, as the rest of her family. Christmas always reminded her of her parents.

Karmy wore a long red sweater rolled up to her elbows that was covered with a tight green vest sporting a peace sign on the left. A simple pair of black jeans and her usual red shoes covered her feet. She looked and was about the size an elf, and the over sized Santa hat that kept slipping down over her eye's wasn't helping the look. Granted, if anyone said she did, she would probably chase them around with a little elf sized hammer for a while. When Alice opened the door, Karmy pulled the biggest smile she could muster and greeted her. "C'mon Al, everyone's havin' fun!"

Alice wiped her eyes and turned the wheelchair to face Karmy, sighing deeply. "God can't you guys ever leave me alone?" Alice wheeled over to her elven colored friend. She starred directly into Karmy's mystic eyes, her own showed that she hadn't been asleep for the last several days at least. You didn't have to be the world's greatest detective to figure that out.

Karmy kept her smile plastered on her face, even though she could feel her heart burning from seeing her friend in such a sullen state. "You know why we can't Al, one of the reasons being is that we love you." she grinned as she leaned against the door frame. "Now are you gonna come down here or am I gonna have to portal you there?" she asked. "Everyone wants you to join them."

Alice shook her head and wheeled past Karmy and out the door. "Life isn't fair Karmy, that's why I'm bound to this wheelchair. At least Babs kept it in good enough condition that I can still upgrade it. But f*ck me. It sucks not being able to walk. You really don't know what you have until it's gone." Mumbling, she took the wheelchair friendly route downstairs to join everyone else.

Barbara looked over to where the door was. "Huh, I wonder what took so long." Barbara pondered looking at the door. Dick stood up from his comfort zone to walk over to the door. "Better late than never right?" Dick smiled.

"Wait, who the hell is that? I though everyone is already here. We were waiting here for someone?" Damian sneered looking around him. Seven foot tall guy, robot girl, goggles, leaf girl, hippie chickster, Dick, Babs, Nikki, and wheels was all accounted for in Damian's mind. All until Dick opened the door leading emo girl and weird man in. Oh. Right. Those two.

Karmy gave a deep sigh as she composed her self for a moment. It had been a month since Alice had been hurt and Karmy was starting to get used to her snaps and attitudes, though, that didn't mean she would ever quit on her friend. Behind Alice's back, Karmy wiped the tears away and adjusted her hat before jumping back into the party. "Hey did Wintermint make anything vegan? I'm starving after last night!" she asked as her hat fell over her eyes again.

"Remind me of the events that took place during your yesternight madam." Wintergreen said in his usual butler tone using his phone to display a series of vegan food on the menu. "We have several lovely dishes that Miss Mau enjoys herself whenever she's not moping around the house as she is." He mumbled browsing the vegan food.

Alice had taken the slope leading her downstairs and quietly wheeled into the living room.
