The Darkest of Knights

"C-c'mon kid! Don't gimmie a hard time! Do not gimmie a hard time!!" He said his hands curled around handle and his finger now on the trigger. Sweat dripping, moving closer withe the handcuffs. What in sam's name is she doing? Does she want to get shot? Bard thought to himself.

Bard was too scared to shoot, that might have caused an uproar in Gotham and everyone would have been against the police. She was just a kid. He lowered his gun still clutching it in one hand and dived after Robin with the handcuffs...

Bard had stepped back from the kick coughing and he backed up a foot too much and he fell off the ledge of the building. Robin, shocked ran to the ledge when she saw Batgirl swing in and catch him, "Gotcha!" She grunted as she carried his weight, she dropped him off at the top of another building and he looked faint. The radio to let the other officers know were at the building Robin was on... She could tamper with it.

Zero was about to tell Ivy they were actually heading for an alley, when he noticed Robin and the officer below. "Saves us the trouble I s'pose..." He said, flying closer to the ground to help out if need be, but he was fairly confident Robin could take of herself.

Casius awoke wiht a jolt and a splitting headache. Figures- expensive beer, same ol' hangover. He groggily got out of the Bat-Tank, and plodded over to where the fight between Mercy and Cinderblock was taking place. 'Something isn't right- Slade's daughter would be smart enough to know who the real culprit and all was.... no, there is somehting else going down here....' Casius thought to himself, looking for an opening.

For the first time ever, Cyrah was glad she was mostly robotic. The ability to continuously chase after Karmy without tiring easily was a godsend right about now. Sure enough, she caught a glimpse of 'Quin', but this time, she kept well out of sight, not wanting a repeat of last time's smashing failure.

Alice kicked Cinderblock in the face again. It fell back, having trouble getting back up Alice jumped on top of it, the fire still roaring, she used his height to jump out of the flames. She saw Casius stumble his way to her "Aw crap Cas, you're going to fight me with a hangover?" She asked him.

"Oh great, now there's a fight with cinderblock and ......uhhh someone else going on in the city!" Nano said as he fliped his communicator down.
"Finnaly!" Crimson exclaimed. A real fight!
"Yeah but we never have fought something like this before; we should be cautious and not just rush in we-"
Crimson had already made a beeline for the fightscene.

"Damn!" he is soo thickheaded! Nano said as he jumped out the window after his brother.

"Robin, take out that officer's radio, I'm regrouping with Batgirl."Batman ordered and informed Robin as he still kept to the shadows.

Cinderblock was beyond pissed at this point- spontanerously getting blown up for NO reason (Ok, so he probably did something to deserve it at some point, but he was too angry to care) and getting a chump made out of him by Mercy were not improving his mood in the slightest. With an infuriated call, he charged at Mercy and the burly newcomer, bashing any obstactle out of his way.

Rose wanted to teach the girl how it was bad manners to blow up other people's rock-monsters, but when she saw Mercy about to make a quick getaway, she shifted her focus. "Hold that hought:" She whilsted sharply, and Alex [she transformed again] Hovered down to them. "Keep an eye on her- i'll be right back." She said thru clenched teeth, dashing after Mercy and cinderblock.

She put her self between Cinderblock and and Mercy, casuing the creature to come to a skidding halt. Rose tuned to Mercy, lookingh at her not angrily as you would expect, but more like Mercy was a curious animal at the zoo. "Well well, found you at last." Rose said, taking a step closer to the two. "This dosen't concern you, assasin- you may go." She said to Casius.

Alex observed Maime in a similar fashion. Bored that she wasn't the one doing the fighting, she decided to strike up conversation. "What's your story, kid? What's your deal in big, bad Gotham city?" She asked.

Alice looked curiously at Rose, she just knew this was the one Batman was looking for. "Rose Wilson?" She asked with a smirk, "Aren't you looking for Batman?"

Rose could help but smile slightly at seeing her plan had worked to perfection. "quite the contrary-" Rose withdrew a handfull of shuriken. "It was YOU I had hoped to encounter." She said, and loosed the shuriken at Mercy, aiming carefuly at vital spots and major arteries, just like her father had shown her.

With a quick suprised curse, Casius yanked Mercy out of the way, deflecting the shots with the plates on his armor. "Careful, kid. She looks like Old man deathstroke taught her well- REALLY well." Casius said, aiming his EMP cannon and readying a shot.

Nano had finnaly caught up with Crimson who was readying to deliver a drop kick on cinderblock from the top of a building. "Are you out of your mind?!" I said we will take him together!
"I know but our first real fight!" Ive been waiting forever for this moment!" Crimson exclaimed.
"You just dont know when to take it easy do you?" Nano said nodding his head.

Lets go!" Nano said as him and Crimson lept off the building to confront the stone giant.

"Don't waste your shot!" Alice screamed as she lowered his canon for him, she knew Slade would have easily dodged it, how much more easily would this chick dodge it. Grenades. Flash, explosive, incendiary, smoke. The expansive and widespread shot of a grenade was impossible to dodge. She could use that against her is she cooked it right. But not now. She got into fighting stance, urging Rose to come and dance with her. "Why do you want me instead of Batman?" Alice asked, perplexed.

"You may as well drive." Seab said to John, warily looking around.
"Just try not to kill us." he added. Hac was stuffed uncomfortably in the back of the car, wishing they could of just forgotten the whole idea and just flew.

Still unconscious, Quinn began to dream.

In an open field with a random wall in the middle of it, was Quinn. She had a shovel in her hands and she began to dig. She was looking for something. Something she had lost. She kept on digging, tossing dirt full by dirt full out of the hole. Soon, the hole was so deep and wide, that the field was gone and Quinn was now digging in the dark. Her hands bled and sweat covered her body, but she continued on. From up above, the skies opened up and it began to rain.

The soil that Quinn was digging soon began to turn to mud, covering her with it, but she continued on. She had no idea what she was looking for, but she knew she had to find it. Roots suddenly began to wrap around her ankles, holding them in place as she dug. She paid them no mind and kept at her task. The rain was getting heavier and heavier and soon, the hole began to fill up with water. It a short time, it was up to Quinns knees. Then to her waist. Quinn gave up. She couldn't go on digging anymore. The water was at her neck by the time she dropped the shovel and headed for the top of the whole. But something stopped her. The roots were still wrapped around her ankles! She desperately tried to pull away but she couldn't. The water was well above her head now. They were holding her down, down in the depths, where the pressure from the rising water was slowly starting to crush her lungs. Keeping her from.. something. Quinns mind began to grow hazy from the lack of oxygen and she looked up to the top of the whole where the light was. It was no use. She couldn't hold her breath any longer...

(LOL!)

"You again?!" Quinn said shivering from the cold water. "I'm not freakin Eeyor! I don't have-" she checked her ears. "Oh nevermind. What are you doing in.. Where ever we are." she looked around and the landscape had changed. They were now standing in a very bright room with mirrors floating everywhere.

Mame had been a bit surprised, all this chaos and Rose simply just left her to someone else, she would have been insulted if she wasn't so thrilled with being part of a conversation. The blond turned to her 'chaperon' cocking her head at the question and thinking over it deeply, why was she in Gotham? She was made for Gotham! She didn't come here from far away for revenge, or travel here for the bounty on the Bats head! This was her home! Her buildings and people and streets they were destroying!

So she simply turned away from the scene and began to walk off, with all this ruckus going on the cops would be slinking around this part of town, just out of the range of damage of course, and she would be hard pressed to escape, but then she had a thought, with all these variables distracting her she had totally forgotten about Rose! How rude of her!!

Mame wandered back up to Alex, not having moved for then a couple steps away, her hands waving back and forth in a odd lackadaisical gesture.

"Hello"


She sounded chipper, far to happy for the amount of blood and open wounds she had on her legs, the edge of her dress was tattered and stained with dirt and blood from the street. She had lost her hat in the explosion, the purple circles under her sockets framing her lucid blue eyes, she stopped outside Alex' personal bubble, but still far too close for comfort, she held out her hand and smiled so wide her eyes were forced shut.

" Would you happen to have a tracking device on you that you could plant on me so I could go now and Miss-Swords-Alot can simply find me later? I don't really want to be around here with all the cops crawling about"

The tiny blond laughed, her eyes flicking about a bit, her feet shifting from one to the other, she was having trouble not looking over to the fight that was taking place just a ways away from them, she was getting distracted and finicky. She just wanted to leave and go back to her warehouse.

To distract herself back into the conversation so she could actually comprehend the other girls response she shook her hand up and down to try and get Alex to grab it.

" What's your name? Why are you in Gotham? "
