"I'm sure you're familiar with Jump City's Earthquake weapon. Metropolis has been in production with a new one, a joint operation with Gotham to remake a larger scaled weapon to sink entire cities off the map. Zero is our only hope to stopping it because he's dealt with one before; though he has killed himself the last time he tried. I'm sure with the healing properties that the pit has will ensure the safety of the planet. I know your worldview has a lot to do with securing Earth as it is." Dick said almost in his batman voice.

The morning sun shone brightly throughout the common room, waking the now hungover Karmy with it's rays of light. She opened her eye's slowly but immediately closed them again, it felt like her retinas were on fire and that tiny people were shooting inside her head. Having had passed out on the couch, she was the only one in the room right now. "Bleh.." she groaned and flipped over, burying her head into her arms to block out the light.

Alice sat by Karmy and begun to flip through several channels that weren't blocked. She completely disregarded Karmy. Dick was on the phone behind both of them, and Cyborg and Beast Boy had begun making bacon and eggs. Tofu eggs and fake meat bacon for Karmy and Beast Boy. Barbara took a seat next to Alice. "Morning Alice." She yawned looking up at the rolodex-like fashion that the television has become. "Morning sugar." She mumbled back. "Dude! Get your bacon grease off my tofu!" Beast Boy protested. "Get your tofu off my bacon grease!" Cyborg retorted. "You wouldn't even be here if I hadn't told you the password!"

Karmy jumped when all the noise suddenly started, nearly kicking Alice when she sat down. Pulling her legs closer, she covered her ears and shut her eye's tight. "Could you please turn that down?" she pleaded, trying not to sound harsh.

When Barbara realized that Alice was ignoring Karmy on purpose she couldn't help but feel guilty for her. "Hey, there's a television in the other rooms. Dick and I checked. You can.." "I want to watch here. There are other beds In the other rooms. I know." Alice interrupted and continued to flip.

Karmy wasn't paying too much attention to Alice's behavior, she was still trying to drown out the painful noise. She didn't really want to get up to go to another room but, she probably would hurl if she did. "Please... Just turn it down a little."

"Alice." Barbara said trying to snatch the remote from her. "She can go somewhere else." Alice said quietly. "Alice, she looks like she's gonna vomit. Just turn it down." Barbara advised. "Fine damn it." Alice said turning the television down a notch.

This action, however, got Karmy's attention. She peaked out and looked up at Alice and noticed that she was acting... Different. Not to sound selfish or anything but, Karmy could always count on Alice to help her out whenever she needed it and now, to see her ignoring her, in a sense, was.. Heartbreaking. But, no matter how much she wanted to, she just couldn't bring herself to say anything to her. So she just crawled over to the far end of the couch and curled up, feeling extremely lonely even though there were people around her.

"Look what you've done." Barbara whispered to Alice. "Go talk to her." She ordered Alice. "No. You sound like some boy playing matchmaker." Alice said bitterly. "Look at her." Barbara said trying her best not to point fingers. "Just do it." She said almost pushing Alice. "I said no." Alice kept flipping. Barbara couldn't take that; she passed Alice and sat next to Karmy. "You know what's going on?" She asked her.

"It's pretty obvious." Karmy said sadly, hiding her face from view. In a way, she was expecting something like this to happen. When she was in the institution and far away from the bag, she was different. But now, she was much further away and it was in the hands of a psycho, no way could she act like herself. And seeing as everyone was so used to her being all crazy and what not, this sudden change would be very hard to get used to. But she had at least thought that Alice would always be there for her.. "She's given up on me."

"What? Alice has given up on you?" Barbara asked in astonishment. "No. No I don't think so. She puts her mind to something and you can already consider it done. She never gives up. Especially on people." Barbara sighed. Alice had saved her several times in the two years they had known each other. Countless times has she helped the Batman Family get on their feet. "She's probably upset. That's all. Don't take it too personally." Barbara encouraged, resting a hand over her shoulder.

"In all the years I've known her.." Karmy said, looking at Alice. "She has never acted like this. Not even when she dislocated my arm." she looked down at her ring again. "She has given up." the needle of light was pointing directly east. "And so have I."

"Don't say that." Barbara said sticking her hand under Karmy's chin and lightly forcing it up. "C'mon. Chin up. Don't you two look at things optimistically?" She asked. "Maybe we should all escape through alcohol." Alice said audibly.

"Kinda hard to look at things optimistically these days. Especially when my best friend is acting like this..." Karmy said, not making eye contact with Barbara. "Sure.." she agreed to Alice's rude statement. "Let's all go get plastered, at least then we won't remember anything anymore."

Ivy munched a peanut butter-banana sandwich beside Zero, who crunched an apple. The two lounged against the wall near Luna and John, Ivy watching the others in the room with a mix of amusement and curiosity; At how the Titans interacted with each other, and at how glum Karm appeared.

"Gotcha, hey thank you so much. I know Bruce would be. Yes... Yes.. Yeah, thank you Clark. Yeah, we'll be there in about a week's time. Not a problem... Uhh let's see about a party of fifteen. Well I'm not sure if we'll take Ra's along with us. Okay. Thank you Clark. Okay.. Yes, bye now." The one sided conversation went between The Dark Knight and The Man of Steel. "Okay, all our plans in Metropolis are set. All we need to do get back to Gotham to meet up with Ra's and head over to the next Pit's location." Dick announced. "Everyone here understand?" He asked. "Yeah. Understood." Damian said yawning. "Gotcha." Everyone else was moaning lightly. "Yo, I'm a real Man of Steel." Cyborg laughed spreading out scrambled eggs. In the pan. "Yo BB, if you wanna start cooking your food, you'd better do it in another pan!"

Had a talk with Damian's Grandfather and my step-step grandfather. He agreed to bring Zero to Lazarus Pit. Nicole and Damian had been having some problems together, its strange. Just when they were getting more friendly around each other, I thought they might get along together better. Personally I would rather have them together than some kid that I can't keep an eye on. So I'm over protective of my adopted daughter... So what.

Which reminds me. I hope Babs and my child grows strong, grows health. I tried talking her out of coming with us to Metropolis. I asked her if she could possible support us the way she supported Bruce as Oracle. I don't want her in danger, I know Nicole is a tough kid, but I don't want her in danger either. Barbara and Alice insists that I do. I worry about them. They seem fragile. And yet, I don't have control over their lives. I'm not their keeper. The only one I don't worry about is Alice. She has fought me multiple times as Malice, in a sense I know her limits more than anyone.

Barbara and I decided that we want to homeschool our child. We don't want him to be taught anything that we don't know. I don't trust the liberal propoganda that's being forced down the kid's throats. And I want a boy.. So what?

"Fine, let's go to a pub so we can drink our worries good-bye." Alice sarcastically said turning off the television. "C'mon. Let's go Karmy. I'm serious let's go. C'mon, snap us to the nearest bar." Alice urged. "Ugh. This is hopeless." Barbara sighed walking over to the tables and leaning on Dick. Everyone was writing in their journals.

Alice and Karmy. I tried, really did. Its a shame how friends can get this way. It really looks like that Alice is serious about taking Karmy out to drink. I think I could go for one too.

Yesterday was really relaxing. I slept with Mr. Dick Grayson all day, watched Finding Nemo, it was nice. Can't wait for all these adventures to stop for a while. I've been planning wedding arrangements in my spare time which explains why I haven't been writing often. I've been acting rather... out of character. I guess its the pregnancy. Its not affecting me in the sense that its making me sick yet, just the excitement of having a child. Nine months dot seem to be going fast enough. When Alice is born we want to make sure she doesn't have to suffer the lives we suffer. We live for the people, but when our child is born, we have to live for her. And I want our child to be a girl... So what?

"Guess everyone's giving up on me." Karmy sighed as she watched Barbara walk away. She didn't bother to look at Alice, she knew when she was being insulted and mocked. Turning her back to her, she flipped up the hood on her jacket and curled up tighter on the couch.

"Hey." Damian said sitting next to Nicole. "Sorry bout last night. Hope we can get past that." He sighed. "I use to look out that window a lot." Dick said softly. "With Starfire?" Barbara asked. "Hey are you still jealous?" Dick asked. "Hey, cut me some slack, you were about to marry her." Barbara said. "Hey c'mon," Dick kissed Barbara, "I love you."

"C'mon Karmy, get the hell up. Let's have some damn fun dammit, we're young, we're youthful, we're cute, let's pick up some guys and screw them in the back." Alice said grabbing Karmy and dragging her out. "Let's go bumpkin, we've got the entire day ahead of us."

Again, Karmy didn't fight back when Alice grabbed her, but she sure did vomit. Good thing Alice only had her by the scruff of her shirt because she quickly opened up a portal and hurled in it. "Too fast Al..." she closed the portal. "Also too loud.. Could you drag me a little quieter?"

"Yeah, haha. Well. I uhh.. Can I get you a drink?" Damian asked. "Whoa, whoa, whoa... A little too early for that Damian." Barbara hissed kissing Dick lovingly.

Alice envied Barbara, eyeing her closely. "Screw it. Let's have some fun. Let's get laid by two guys we don't even know." Alice said picking Karmy up. "You... Are a virgin.. Right?" Alice said walking out.

"Pfft no." Karmy said blatantly. "Burning Man aint too great a place to take a 16 year old. I was so high along with everyone else that I didn't even know I gave it away till the next morning. Granted, it's been a while and no decent guys have appeared." though, he mind did wander off for a bit, thinking about Robert.

Barbara continued to kiss Dick, "Never mind." She mumbled between kisses. Damian looked away, "Hey... Wanna find an alley or something?" He asked quietly.

"Okay, let's not get laid." Alice thought still carrying her. "And you gotta stop vomiting." Alice remarked taking her outside. "There's a place just outside of town that has booze and pie for cheap. On me. Wanna go there?" She asked.
