The Darkest of Knights

"Hey, nothing wrong with being the good cop." Robert shrugged at the nickname, who knows, maybe Karmy would like it. In a sea of corrupted officers, someones gotta stand out like the Ultra Soft bear. "Awww shoot!" Robert readied his gun just as the crazies swarmed the two officers.

"Stick with me! You're officially my partner!" He raised his voice over the laughter. "There!" He pointed out to a ladder that seemed to be hidden from view at first. "We get to higher grounds we can fend them off easier!" Jason said depositing his gun into his holster and jumping to the ladder. "C'mon! Quick!"

"Red X huh?" Batman asked unamused and annoyed that his research was being halted. "What's his real name?"

Batman put his tools down and rose from his metallic stool. "If you're really Nicole, you will answer the question." Batman said sternly. "And I know that she knows." He said walking closer to her.

Edward knew that the Queen didn't know the answer to Dick's question. He'd talked to him before, but he couldn't remember his damned name! Red X...his name isss...oh I don't remember... he thought to himself, hoping that against everything that the Queen might get a lucky guess. Ivy#2 had backed away from Barbara with a mumbled 'sorry'.

"Haha good, Sam was a jackass anyways." Robert said and followed Bard up the ladder. Half way up, it began to shake and sway and they looked down, seeing that a hoard of crazies were trying to get to them, some even climbing up the ladder. "Awww sh*t!" Robert fired off a round into the lead crazies shoulder and it fell away. "C'mon we gotta move!" Robert pressured as they continued to climb. Bard jumped on top of the roof and Robert was about to join him when he felt something grab his leg. Nearly loosing his grip, he kicked the crazy in the face and pulled himself up. Pushing the ladder over so no one could follow them, he stood next to Bard and looked at the city. "Oh hell.."

"Yeah, you think that's a bad sight." Bard said walking over to the edge and drawing his pistol. "Looks like we really are the only ones left." He said pointing to the police station where craziness ensued. Crazies began to climb up the building. "Well we can jump rooftops like The Batman or we can stay here and light up some zombies. Up to you softie."

Robert grinned and suddenly took off running towards a lower building. Reaching the end of the building, he placed his foot on the edge and pushed off with all his might, launching himself to the next building. landing on top, he skidded in a crouching position. "You coming Bard?!" he called up to him, a grin still on his face. Inside, he was thanking his godfather over and over again for teaching him the basics in parkour.

"Oh you know it!" He said running to the ledge and kicking off the ledge and hitting the rocky black surface of the next building, he rolled to control himself and stood back up. "C'mon! We gotta keep moving!" He said running out, then a crazy climbed to the top and grabbed Jason by his hands, "Argh! Help!"

"Holy- Hold on!" Robert ran to his aid and socked the crazie right in the kisser. It got back up and tackled him but Robert used his legs to keep an upright position. "You do not ahahahah know when the price is right!" The crazie kept on laughing. "Up yours, Saget!" he smashed his fist into the side of the crazies head and pushed the unconscious body away. "Still wanna call me softie?"

"That's what you are right?" He asked wiping his hand. "Man that's Bob Saget? He really put on some weight." Jason remarked.

"What he's doing in Gotham, I do not want to know." Robert shook his head and kicked the body. "Anyways, we should check out this building." he pointed over to the door on the roof. "See if we can find anything useful." he kicked open the door and waved for Bard to follow him.

"About as useful as the next building." Bard said following his steps carefully and pulling a flashlight to check corners and make sure nothing will creep out of the darkest of sectors. He soon lost track of Bay. Worry crept up his spine. "Bay? Bay? Where are you? Hey Robert! If you hear my voice call out to me!" He said walking back a bit. it was too dark in the building. The lights were off, that or the power was out. Most likely, the latter. No response. "Dammit Bay! We're partners! Partners stick together!" He said pursing into the darkness.

Bay was currently having a wrestling match with a dwarf crazy. "Hahahahaha you're gonna be apart of the ex lollipop guild!" the small man screamed while nomming on Robert's hand. "What is with these characteristic zombies?!" he screamed and tossed the crazy against the wall. He quickly ran out of the room and shut the door, letting out a sigh of relief. "Hey Bard sorry, got a little held up back there." he gave a nervous laugh.

Jason looked at him confused, shining the flashlight on him. "Have you been infected?" He asked noticing his laugh, though it was more of a joke than it was a serious question. He continued to walk down into the dark corners.

"Nah, I've cut down on the meat." Robert said, pulling out a flashlight. "Only eggs, diary and fish for me, thanks." he clicked on the flashlight and walked down the stairs. "Well... This isn't good." the light revealed that the whole floor was swarming with crazies.

"Oh sh*t!" Bard panicked as they all came running up at them at once, he pulled his arm back letting out a deep battle cry and sent a powerful haymaker on the first crazy that ran up to him pushing them all back for a moment, Bay kicked at others trying to grab them. Jason ran to the opposite direction. "C'mon!" He urged throwing a strong right hook at an oncoming crazy and hopping over him skidding under another.

Batman folded his arms. "Who are you?" he asked ready to punch her lights out.

Edward sighed; a bit quicker than he'd hoped, but oh well. We may as well start now. he whispered in the Queen's head, as the figure of Ivy melted into the background, eventually fading completely; it would be better if they didn't have too many faces to fight toward. Edward spent his energy blocking out whatever was going to happen from Alice.

Robert grabbed a crazy by the arm and tossed him at the others, "Get to the fire escape!" he said, heading towards the window. He covered his face with his arms and dove through, landing on the deck of the fire escape. With Bard right behind him, the began to run down the stairs, their footsteps making loud bangs as the ran. Halfway down, they realized that they were being followed and that more crazies were coming up the other way. "Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t!" Robert shouted. "We're trapped!"

"Dammit!" Bard panicked more, "We can't make it from a jump this high! We have to shoot em!" He said drawing his gun. "C'mon! Go!!" He said nailing one in the shin and kicking his chest; this pushed the crazies over and they had more of an opening. "C'mon! Nail those bastards!" He yelled over the hysterical laughter.

"You're gonna have to tell me how you got in here without tripping the intrusion detectors." Batman. Said approaching Nicole and grasping her shoulder.

Edward kept his hold on Alice's senses, trying to keep her out of it.
"Er, terribly sorry for all the deceit and such...I had hoped it would work so much better." came a voice in Dick's head.
"I'll be with you all in a second." it added, waiting for a more...opportune moment.

Batman simply kicked in Nicole's stomach as hard as he could before her punch could get anywhere near his body and ignored any voices that wasn't his own in his head. "You have no idea who you're dealing with if you want to play around. I have no time to waste." He said whipping out a pair of flexi-cuffs.

Alice's main concern at the moment was Barbara and keeping her in good heath. She lay on her bed with her sheets changed and wires attached to her. IV keeping track of her heartrate. Slow but normal. Alice opened up her journal and reread her pages unaware of what was going on outside.

Robert cursed to himself as he pulled out his gun and started firing, making sure not to kill anyone. He shot at their knees and ankles so that they couldn't get up anytime soon. That didn't stop them from trying though, they started to crawl towards them. "Ok yeah, screw this! Down the ladder!" he rushed Bard and climbed on after him. "Hold on!!" he started jumping up and down until the latch released at the top and the ladder slid down. The sudden stop caused the men to topple off, only a mere 2 feet away from the ground.

"You have time though. Whether you waste it or not isn't your decision right now; it's not like we're on your side or anything." Edward's voice muttered in the general area.
"And stop that! It took time to get here!" he added, striking a 'blow' at Dick's face. To him anyways. And in a more straining move on his part, made it seem that the cuffs vanished. Can't have the Queen sent back to jail so soon. Of course this led to his other illusion on Alice a bit weaker.
