The Darkest of Knights

Twoface crossed his arms. "I'm in full control fo myself, thankyou." He snorted grumpily. But he did have a mind to clobber Thorne for all this. "Of course he won't get away with this." Twoface said stubbornly. "This is little short of evil."

And elsewhere Cyrah agreed. "What do we do, then? Are we jsut gonna sit on our collective asses and take it while Batman and Batgirl run off with harvey Dent to play Sherlock Holmes?" Cyrah fumed furiously. She was letting this affect her very emotionaly, but right now she really didn't give a damn with how personal this was hitting her.

Ivy frowned at the news. That vile news completely full of lies. A part of her was dying to agree with Cyrah and Karm- To go and kick Good Fellas (or whatever his name was, she didn't think such a person should be worth remembering) where it hurt.

At the same time, she knew Alice was right. The whole Jim Gordon fiasco and unveiling of Batman were enough to give the heroes a bad name. Any more and Gotham may not even consider them heroes any more.

Still...Her frown deepened.

"I doubt he'll capitulate without a fight for sure, interrogation will have to be issued immediately once we catch him off guard; have to admit I never have seen Thorne off guard. Though I still think there could be one more madman behind this. Does The Roman come to mind?" Batman asked. "I don't think so Batman." Batgirl stated. "We checked his recent records, remember? Been clean since July. I doubt he's back in business after the huge Dent we made in his wallet. He's been under the radar ever since." She referred to the last incident The Bats and Harvey Dent had a run in with The Roman, he helped them bring him down hard. Bankruptcy. He was able to get his way out of prison, but he ended up owing more than he could earn in a year's salary. "Right.. Though its possible with the few months he had he could have made his way back to the top. And for revenge set this thing up. Either way we're paying a visit to our prime suspect."

Alice crossed her arms. "No! You are not going out there to castrate a news reporter! You do that and you'll never have the chance to even show your faces in Gotham! You can do whatever you want, but you don't do something out of an emotional outburst! I'm mad at this guy as much as you are, maybe more. But you cannot put a bad enough name on Dick than it already is!" Alice walked over to a boarded window angryily and stressed, looking through a small peep hole. "Think about your actions. Think about what they will cause." Alice finished still starring through, into the light.

"In a minute, I wanna save your initial reaction for the cameras." Godfrey smiled and stepped aside letting his camera men pass him to head inside ahead of him. "Now, you say you've seen the show? That's good, always nice to meet a fan, remind me and I'll sign you an autograph before we leave. Do you have a place we could set up? Just someplace with a 'homey' feeling, Kitchen, TV room, living room would be fine, just someplace we could fit all our people and equipment." He smiled at the mild-aged woman and stepped inside her home. "I will say that, if everything goes well, we'll be seeing more of each other, my producers will renew me for another season, and you'll end up rich famous and might want to start thinking about writing a book."

Karmy gave a deep sigh and calmed down, her arms falling to her side and her shoulders slumping. "Alright, Al." she complied and sat back down on the sofa next to the Riders, her old team. "We'll can all figure this out together."

Sarah crossed her arms. "You want to just sit here in some sort of Bat- commitee?" Sarah snorted, still angry. "Fine- what is your master plan, oh wise one?" Sarah said sarcastically, not trying to mask that she thought this was bogus. She heard Luna's comment. "How do you EXPECT me to calm down!?" She said, trying not to elevate. "I don't think ANY of you understand the way I feel about this! He's using an innocent girl for some sick plot! How can I POSSIBLY be calm!?!" She outburste,d not thinking rationaly, only angrily. Someone was using not just an innocent person, but someone she considered a friend in their twisted plot. Again, it was real personal- REAL real personal.

Cassius crossed is arms. "Can I beat him, then? The cops still think I kidnapped Barbara- I doubt I'M still associated with y'all in public." Cassius recomended.

Zero grunted in frustration as he held Ivy close. Yes, Alice was right- they couldn't just rush out and make a bunch of loons of themselves and cause a scene. At the same time, Sarah was right as well- they couldn't just sit here on their butts and take it as they tore down Batman's reputation and lied about Nicole. He thought deeply, keeping one arm around Ivy........

Twoface nodded. "Naturally. We now suspect Thorne is behind this- anything else Thorne has been up to I ought to know about? I know he stole that EMF generator, but not much else- we all need to be on the same page here." Dent requested. If they wanted to be effective here, they all had to know what was going on, including him

Karmy stood up, and walked behind the couch and began pacing in thought. On one hand, she wanted to portal over there and beat Godfrey until he was bleeding from every pore in his body and every nerve was set on fire. She agreed with Cyrah and Cassius, but she didnt want to be in more trouble with the police. Tempers were running high all around her, and she was impatient as hell. Looking towards the screen again, she got the image of the place in her head, just in case...

Alice looked over to Cyrah, her hands at her hips. She walked over to her slowly, each step louder than the last. "Then let's come up with a plan instead of sitting around moping. You think your only two options are to cause a ruckus or sit around doing nothing?" She came closer to Cyrah, "That's being ignorant of your surroundings. Let's do something to stop this."

Damian sat up and helped Nicole to her feet. "I'm gonna get her some tea or something. See if any other power around the house works." He said walking her to the kitchen. He flipped a switch and the lights blinked for a second, the bulbs must have been destroyed; soon emergency lights began to glow in the room. "Hey what tea do you like?" Damian asked filling a vat of water and setting it on the heater.

Oh if looks could kill- Cyrah gave Alice a look dirty enough to polute the whole damn ocean. "First off, get out of my face." Cyrah said threateningly- then suddenly, her face got an artificialy calm look. "Second, let's pretend for a moment I go along with your plan." Cyrah said, using a co-operative tone that was fake as they got. "What do YOU propose we do, o wise one? How DO we stop it short of stopping the broadcast ourselves?" Cyrah asked, still not masking her fellings very well.....

"Well if someone wears a mask for so long, you don't realize who they are without it. Know of the story about Puss in Boots?" Alice asked. "He wore a mask pretending to be someone for so long, that he became that person. So what if we mask ourselves? We can move freely without people knowing who we are."

Karmy approached the two, getting close enough that if a fight broke out, she could stop it.

Ivy gladly let herself be held by Zero, watching Cyrah and Alice with unease. If only, she thought, she could burrow deep into his arms until she disappeared. Leave all her troubles behind her, vanish without a single trace. I sound like I'm eight. she realized, giving a nervous laugh at herself. The kind of laugh that came from sudden stress, one of relief that you could find something, anything, worth laughing about.

Cyrah sluped her shoulders. Even with a mask, not like a bright green cryborg was dificult to recognize. Even with the hologram projector, it didn't last long, and it only hid her looks- anyone that couched her would mereley feel her metal body's, not skin or a human shape, so it was a far from perfect disguise. "Ok, and, uhm...... hoooooooooooooooooow do you propose I do that?" Cyrah asked, gyrating her hands for emphasis.......

Zero let out a sigh in response to Ivy's nervous laugh. "Yeah, I know how you feel, babe." He said. It was one of those situations where he genuineley didn't know what to do other then wanting to do SOMETHING besides sit around. It was all complicated. He wished life could be as simple as it was last night, when it was just him and Ivy. Somehow, life didn't seem as complex when she was around.

He turned around to look at Luna real quick, remembering she had been injured badly the other day. Zero had since removed the bullets and patched her up, but Luna was his best friend, and he still worried. "Hey, you feeling ok, Lu? Just wondering if anything is still bugging you." He asked with concern.

"Right." Batman said standing more straight than he already was. "He used the EMF to knock the power out and essentially kill Metalo. Though I don't think his intentions were to kill him, but he was only a vehicle to get to Batgirl." Batman said still unsure about his conclusion and deep in thought about it. "Yeah, but we're not sure of that. I do know his assistant was trying to be friendly to me for some reason. I don't know the full intention but I know those mobsters are sly as snakes. I have to be careful the next time I encounter her." Batgirl shared. "Thorne also hired Slade to attack Batgirl. I don't know his interest at all with her. It's making me insane just thinking about it." Batman replied. "Well we don't know if it was Thorne, but we have a lot of reason to believe it was." Batgirl stated. "To be honest we really haven't a clue what he has planned but it has to do with me."

"Oh that's easy." Alice said. "Don't touch anyone." Alice said crossing her arms.

"Hey don't worry about it babe." Damian said kissing Nicole's forehead and taking out two mugs "I like Jasmine too."

Everything seemed fine so Karmy walked back to behind the couch and leaned against it so she was in between the Riders. "Hey Lu, are you ok?" she asked when Zero asked.

"Ok, let's say, for a moment, that we DO all don new identities and what not. THEN what's the plan, hm? What do we do from there?" Sarah asked, still not quite getting where Alice was going with this. Yes, don new identities and hide an blah blah- and she HATED sneaking around like she had something to hide- but then what?

Zero sighed. "Who KNOWS what the right choice is anymore? This is all really rough territory we're getting into....." Zero thought. It was true- things were delicate right now, they couldn't afford to slip up......

Dent furrowed his brow in thought. "If he's done all of that, I doubt he's done with you. Knowing that he's targeted Barbara as well, we need to be doubly cautious in this....." Dent said. "But it dosen't add up- what does Thorne have to gain by offing Metallo, tormenting you and sick-ing Deathstroke on Barbara? It's not adding up....."

"Ugh, hell if I know. All I do know is that its better than sitting around here waiting for something to happen." Alice said to Cyrah. "There are those who make things happen, there are those who watch things happen, and there are those who ask, what happened? Which one are you?" Alice asked walking down to the entrance of the Batcave.

"Of course it doesn't add up, that's why we have to figure out what's going on. We can't run in with all these presuppositions. Right now a lot of calamity and turmoil is happening concurrently while we try to figure things out on this roof top." Batman explained. "So we're heading to Thorne's penthouse.. We can ask him about all his plans and engagements he has with me." Batgirl replied. "Right, we can figure out whats happening." Batman thought. "Wait but the Batship crashed into Gotham's Harbor." Batgirl said.
"Yes? What of it?"
"If people think we were in there then doesn't that mean that they'll think we're all dead, Batman?"
"Yeah, if they think we were in there."
"And they don't know that."
"No they don't.."
"So technically we're dead. We can use the Element of surprise."
"Pronounced dead. Batface? How did you know we were alive after the crash?" Batman inquired.

"Sheesh, can't you two ever get along?" Karmy huffed. "Wait, what are we going to do? Do we know who shot us down?" she asked.

"DON'T lecture ME about sitting and waiting or jsut speculating- if it were up to me, we would have shut off that broadcast five minuites ago and been done with it. If you need an answer, I MAKE things happen instead of jsut piddling for answers, especially when it's my friend being slandered. If our positions were reversed and it was Matty or Karms being slandered, I would have been there and stopped then so fast even the Flash would be green with envy." Cyrah said bitterly. "How can you NOT want to stop them ASAP? He's trashtalking both Dick AND Robin right now." Cyrah asked.

Twoface crossed his arms assertiveley. "Please, nobody in their right mind would beleive you died such a lame death. If I think this, then I assure you the other brains in Gotham think so also." Twoface said. Batman wasn't going to die in a plane crash, it just sounded too lame.....
[When you say Batcave, don't you mean Bunker? I DID Kinda blow the Batcave up in MRP1.....]

"If I were to make a guess I'd wager its the same man who shot down the Batwing. Possibly the best shot in the world.. Deadshot" Alice called out as she entered the Batcave. "Is anyone coming or what?" Alice was currently ignoring Cyrah, she knew arguing with her wouldn't get them anywhere. It wasn't prudent, nor was it fruitful.

"Not a problem." Damian said to Nicole handing her a mug of piping hot tea. "Don't burn yourself."

"Getting shot down by a missle that can get past the active sheild in the Batplane take some skill. You have to at least give them that." Batman said shooting his line. "At any rate I don't think we'll get answers standing around. Let's move." He said swinging off. Batgirl looked at Bat-Face.. Or Two-Face... Shot her line and followed.

[Batcave, Batbunker, its the same deal. Plus in two years they could clean up the original Batcave..]

Cyrah crossed her arms as Alice began blatantly ignoring her to acknowledge Karmy. Not like she was suprised- how anyone even remembered her name began to come off as a small miracle anymore. Giving up, she crossed her arms and bitterly stomped off like a scolded child, finding an empty room to adorn. not like anyone would mind, EXPECIALLY Alice and Karmy. She opened a window, activated her hologram device, and snuck out.......

Barface followed suit, procuring a grapple from the blue side of his suit and swinging after, keeping to whatever shadows were available......

(I'm going to wait till Deceiver posts to post for Batman and Batgirl again.)

Call it an arbitrary feeling. Alice didn't have to contrive the thought that Cyrah would try to run out on her own, failing to obey her and running out of Wayne Manor. By default she would get into trouble. Alice grabbed Cyrah's hair and pulled her back and into the Mansion. "What, are you an idiot!? You know they have eyes on us! You could have screwed us all! I told you if you want to go out go through the Batcave!" Alice scolded. "We don't want to compromise this site again!"

"ENOUGH!" A portal appeared underneath the two dueling dimwits and they fell to the ground back in front of everyone. Karmy waved the portal closed as she stood towering over Cyrah and Alice. "I am sick and tired of you fighting!" she screamed down to them. "We are supposed to be working together to help Dick and Nicole, but you two are just caught up in your egos to truly focus on that!!" she continued on, not letting up for even a second. "Like it or not, we are all a family. Caspian always said that, 'In time of test, family is best.' Everyone in here knows that!" she stated. "Almost everyone in Gotham is out to get us, and if we divide, we will fall!" she glared down at the two. "Now get a grip or I swear that by all that is made of soy, I will send you both to Antarctica!"

"What do you think I'm trying to do huh? I'm helping them by not endangering us by saving Cyrah from getting caught that the police will, ahh f*ck it!" Alice said trying to explain herself. "Lets all go to the batcave this instant! C'mon! Family, family! Foots in asses!" Alice yelled storming off.
