Gotham City's Midnight Riders (BEGUN)

Carillon, realizing there was nothing else she could do, began to cry.
Still hanging by her shirt, she cried harder and harder until she was
sobbing. "I want.. I want Aunt Eliza!" she cried out, tears pouring
from her face. Mercy slowly set her down, and she collapsed to the
ground in surrender. "I... I have nowhere else to go..." she then
noticed some silver wind chimes hanging next to some potted plants as
decoration. I have to get away from these people... she thought, then suddenly leaped up and ran towards the chimes. She jumped up and slammed her finger against one of the chimes, causing a loud pulsing sound to shoot out everywhere. However, the effect was weak, and only caused a brief millisecond of mild visions. This was just enough time, however, for Carillon to run towards the door in pursuit after Karmy.

(I didn't see that coming O_O... Was everyone hit except Karmy?)

The fresh air did Karmy good. She stood against one of the trees out side, her eyes closed as she took deep, calming breaths. As she calmed down, she heard the distant echo of the bell, and she turned to see Carillon running towards her. "You're nothing without you bell kid. Might as well give it up, you'll never get it back."


(Oh and Charmy, if you plan to take the bag or anything, there's something that I have yet to explain about it. Its a dangerous thing about the bag...)

(Carillon wont succeed in taking the bag lol but she'll try to get Karmy to give her the bell)

Carillon ran up to Karmy. "PLEASE" she begged, "I have to get that bell back, or SYNG will punish me again... they already had me go to level 2 Rehabilitation after I failed to capture Seth... but for LOSING my bell, I'd probably get Level 8!" Carillon began crying again as she pictured what would happen to her, and collapsed at Karmy's feet. "Please, please give me my bell, I don't want them to hurt me..." she said weakly.

Mercy caught up hearing the conversation, she looked at her in astonishment. "SYNG? You work for SYNG!?" She realized what this means. She had no sympathy for this girl. "F**k that! You're not getting your bell back!" Mercy restrained her easily. "And further more you're going to tell us everything you know!"

Upon realizing her mistake, Carillon made a mild whimper as she was grabbed by Mercy. The little girl managed to reach down into her pocket, and there was a faint beep as she activated something. "I can't say anything... I'm sorry.." Carillon replied, sad about what was happening.

"You think they're gonna hurt you?" Karmy said, her voice dead. "You made me see things." and she shut her bag tight as she pulled something out. It was a Laugh-X pellet. "I don't care if you are just a kid..."

A vehicle suddenly drove up, almost running into Karmy, Carillon, and Mercy. Out jumped Charmer and Eliza. "Carillon!" Charmer yelled as he ran to help. Upon seeing Karmy about to hurt her, his face went pale. "You... but why?" he asked, confused. He thought Karmy wanted to HELP others, not hurt little children. Figuring he had been deceived by Karmy, he grew angry. "LET HER GO RIGHT NOW!!" he bellowed, and Karmy let go immediately. Carillon ran over to Eliza, who had pulled out her gun to help. "They took my bell!" Carillon complained, "Am I going to be punished?"

"No," Charmer replied, turning towards the little girl, "Because SYNG isn't going to find out." He turned back to Karmy and Mercy, his eyes narrowed. Already weak from using his power, he staggered slightly. He took a deep breath. "Give her back her bell right now, and let them leave." he commanded loudly, almost fainting from exhaustion. His voice had quivered while giving the command, so its effect was weak, but lasted just long enough for Karmy to retrieve the bell and hold it out. Eliza snatched it, then quickly put Carillon in the black car. She got in the drivers seat. "Good luck, Charmer!" she cried out as she began speeding away. What am I getting myself into? Charmer asked himself, weak from exhaustion-- too weak to use his power again.

An enormous sword came crashing down on the hood of the car like lightning falling from the Sky. Artanis' wings spread out far and wide. No other cars were on the streets. All the civilians watched from the buildings afraid to even step out. Then fire came booming around the car encircling the vehicle, then the streets came alive and wrapped around the car immobilizing it. Aurora made it to the scene with Ivy. "You work for SYNG?" Artanis asked lifting his sword from the hood. He was ready if they tried to do anything stupid.

"Nuh uh!" Karmy screamed, "She is not getting away with that thing!" and she slammed her foot into Charmer. "I thought you wanted to help."She said dryly and snapped her fingers. She landed next to the car and grabbed the bell again.

Carillon managed to hold tightly to the bell as Karmy pulled on it. Charmer looked around for Karmy, then yelled out. "You bi***!" he yelled at her, "you lied to me. You're no hero, you're psychotic!!!" Inside the car, Eliza pulled out her gun and fired two bullets into Karmy's arm, hoping to make her let go. She was frantically panicking about the flames, though, and pressed a button on her communicator: it soon began blinking.

Karmy screamed as the bullets tore through her arm, but she SOMEHOW managed to keep a hold on the bell. She slammed her other hand on Carillon's arm, hitting a pressure point. Carillon's arm instantly went numb and she let go of the bell. "I am trying to help Charmer! They're just making you think I'm not!" She strained as she stuffed the bell back into her bag. "Mercy! We're getting out of here!" and she snapped her fingers again, making the Rider's, Ghost, Casius, and Sarah appear back in the apartment.

Mercy fell tumbling down. Artanis was able to land softly and he caught Aurora. Mercy immediately went to try to take care of Karmy, Artanis let Aurora go and loomed over Karmy. "We had them where we wanted them." Artanis said angrily. "Just shut up for a moment! We have to treat Karmy!" Mercy barked at him. "Not the point! We could have treated her later!" He rebuked. "I shoulda shot them dead..." Mercy thought to herself taking out a tourniquet from Karmy's bag. She knew it inside out by now. "Stop avoiding me!" Artanis said raising his voice. "You wanna go back or something? GEEZ just shut up for a second!"

"HeeheGAHhehehehehee..." Karmy laughed as the other's fixed her up. "Hehe I stuck the kid with a tracker Arty.... Hehe..." and she pulled out the GPS from earlier and tossed it to Artanis.

Carillon screamed as her arm was hurt by the the sudden force applied to it. In a flash all the enemies were gone. She burst into tears with the realization that everything was too late, now.. "Aunt Eliza, what is going to happen to me...?" she asked softly, her brown eyes stained with tears. Eliza sighed, extremely stressed with all that had happened. "I will tell SYNG that I failed; you shouldn't be punished for something that is not in your power to control." "But it IS in my power," Charmer suddenly said with a huff, now standing next to the car door, "I should've been able to stop them, but I didn't... I... I failed!" The three were silent for a while, not sure what to do. A tear slowly slid down Charmer's cheek. "It's my fault.." he said, almost in a whisper, "I trusted her, and she betrayed me... I thought she was some sort of hero, but it turns out she's just some psychotic killer. Did you know she was the one who killed Ben?" Charmer looked at Eliza and Carillon, their faces confused. "You mean that dangerous man who SYNG was planning on recruiting?" Eliza asked softly. Charmer nodded, then bit his lip. "I hate her..." he grumbled to himself, "I saved her, and she tries to kill me. Looks like SYNG really is the only one I can trust."

The 3 were silent a moment longer. Carillon looked down, her arm purple and throbbing from the beating she had received. Cold wind blew as they stood there, and Eliza shivered for a moment. "Let's go, Charmer.." she said softly, looking out the car window at him. He looked down in defeat, then nodded slowly. He walked over and got into the car. Soon they drove off, back to Charmer's penthouse.

The doorman greeted them politely as they walked in, and they stepped into the large marble elevators, and were soon going up to his room. They sat in silence in the elevator. "I... I got a look at her mind, earlier..." Carillon said quietly. Charmer and Eliza looked down at the little girl in curiosity. "What did you see, sweetie?" Eliza asked gently. "Well, it seems her brother was killed... or... at least he was lost somehow. That bag of hers is from him, I think. I only got a short glimpse into her mind, But it was enough to see she has a very guilty conscience, and she... she killed many people. There was something significant about a lady wearing a silk dress who was lying on the ground with a bullet in her heart. I don't think Karmy is a hero, Aunt Eliza... I think she's a villain."

( DX sorry Karmy, I'm just going based on what THEY know about you lol so far you betrayed Charmer, fought Carillon, crippled her arm, and she saw you kill tons of people. Lol you aren't much of a hero in their eyes atm xDD)

(Yeah... That made me feel guilty... Damn... Karmy aint no villain DX! If she's guilty about the people she's killed, then doeesn't that mean she's good O_O... What are you planning.....)

Twoface was already waiting in CHarmer's main room when the SYNG agents walked in. "Ah, hello Ladies and Gentlemen. Got a moment for your favorite sponsor?" he asked, the twisted look on his face stating that he had news, and probably not the good kind.

Casius looked at the Riders, and eyebrow lifted. "You aren't actually planing on going after them when you just got shot, are you? Not even she is recovered form HER injuries." Casius told Karmy, pointing to Mercy.

(Let change this up a bit shall we? Mercy, I can delete this if you have something else planned >_>)

All of a sudden, every single television in Gotham turned on on its own. How? The source of it showed up on its own. Upon the screen stood the Joker, Harley and Poison Ivy waving happily behind him. "Hello Gotham! Joker's back in town! And boy do we have a show for you tonight!"

"Ah, hello sir," Charmer replied quite smoothly, despite the fact he was creeped out deeply, "What a wonderful surprise. Please, have a seat" he said, pointing to one of the expensive leather couches. As he and Twoface sat down, Eliza took Carillon to the kitchen to get her fixed up and get some ice on the swelling. "How may I be of service to you, sir?" Charmer asked charismatically.

Poison Ivy hadn't had this much fun in awhile. She waved heartily, and wondered briefly if the girl could be watching. Well, if she was.."Ivy dear, mom is here!" She mouthed straight at the camera.

Ivy froze. She had seen the TV's flash on, and had deciphered Poison's message. You're not my mother. She thought, You're my murderer.

"Too kind, but I think I'll stand." Twoface said. "I jsut need to ask you all a quick, little question: HAVE YOU ALL LOST YOUR MINDS!?" He shouted. "The deal was to get the girl. You could have hypnotized her gaurdians, GHost and Casius, made off with her, and nobody would have bene the wiser. But you kidnaped a Rider, and FOUGHT the two we specifically want to nto get involved!" He scolded. "Look, I like you kids, which is why SYNG isn't here turning your minds inside out." he said calmer and more understandingly. He pulled out a small bell form his pocket and chucked it to Carillon. "I have invested billions into SYNG, including the programs used to hone your skills. Try not to fail again." He said patiently, and he walked out the door

Carillon smiled as she held the little bell in her hands. It was identical to her old one-- SYNG would never know about her mistake. "Thank you mister!" she called out as Twoface walked away. Carillon turned to Charmer. "We're going to make them PAY" she said coldly. Charmer sighed, then reclined onto the couch cushions. He slowly closed his blue eyes, thinking for a moment. He took a deep breath, then leaned up. "Eliza...?" he asked slowly, "Do you think we could try to take the girl? She was last at the asylum... perhaps we should just wait and watch for them. Do you think Caleb could help us?"

Eliza was silent for a moment, looking downward in thought. "Yes... I'll contact Marissa and Caleb privately... we will get our revenge... Oh yes, sweet revenge will soon be within the grasp of our fingertips..." Eliza laughed as she pictured it in her mind.

Two face entered his car and closed the door, "Good afternoon... Dent." Redeemer said from the backseat.

As the everyone in the apartment watched the screen, they failed to notice two vines slip in through the window. They snaked their way to two of the people in the room. Before Ivy or Sarah had a chance to cry out, the vines wrapped them selves around their mouths. A noxious gas was sprayed in their faces and they both fell limp in the vines clutches. None of the others in the room noticed as they were dragged swiftly from the room.

"Well Gothem! Old Uncle Joker is here to put the smile back on this city!" He said smiling to the screen. "Old Batsy has finally flown the coop so that means that its Joker gone wild time!" and he started laughing hysterically. Suddenly Poison Ivy smacked Joker from behind and he turned away from the camera for a minute. "Oh! It appears my guests have arrived!" The camera panned to the right and it showed something that made everyone in the apartment gasp. Ivy and Sarah hung unconscious from vines, Harley and Poison Ivy displaying them like game show hostesses.

Joker then grabbed the camera and held it up to his face. "Don't try and rescue them Rider's! I have my eyes on you!" and then he started walking. "If I see one of you little brats within a mile of me, this will happen to all the people's of gothem." He turned the camera and there sat a man, bound and gagged in a chair. The Joker held a device in front of the screen and pressed a large red button. Instantly, the man started screaming through his gag, his eyes looking like they were about to pop out. They did. The eyes rolled away as a pink substance started oozing from the sockets. It was light and fluffy and as it fell through, it started to dissolve the man's very skin. It came from his ears. It came from his nose. It burst through the mans cheeks. It burst through every hole in the mans body. In a matter of minutes, all that was left was a pile of goop in the chair, the clothes of the man still intact. "Nighter's Riders!" and the broadcast cut off, but the sound didn't. The Joker's laugh's rang through out the city, carried by every television screen.

As the graphic scene unfolded in front of them. "That unbalanced disturbing twisted sadistic animal." Mercy said under her breath. "They kidnapped them right under our noses, they can't be far. Riders, we have to move."
