Gotham City's Midnight Riders (BEGUN)

The hit sent Ivy reeling backwards, her skin's fire extinguished. She felt her skull klunk against something, but didn't see what it was. Everything faded as she fell to the floor, only half awake.
Get up. You need to keep fighting Ivy!
My head hurts...
You can't let down the Riders.
I can't..
You can't let down the Titans.
Everything hurts...
You can't let down Zero.
He can fight..
You've let so many people down, this is where you can make up for it. This is it, Iv. Go help your team.

Ivy was shocked out of the half dream. She got up. She'd need to keep fighting. She could keep fighting. She would keep fighting.

Live each day as if its your last, and it very well could be. She'd fight this last battle the best she could, whether she could win or not. Her fire rekindled itself. Without a second thought, she began hurling fire at the Lantern that had hit her.

The hand looked at Casey, going from mocking to irritating. "You sound like a broken record. Accept it- they will fail. But I don't intend to let you live to see it." He hissed, and the ground bloow him glowed with black aura, causing him to go through it like a ghost in the fray on the floor below. With a swipe of his hand, he send the floor down with him.

Greed was all use dup- 30 was his limit. With the next strike, his body began to go to ashes. With one last glance at Luna, he too, like gluttony before him, dispersed with a grin on his face. However, this was the least of the rider's concerns- more lanterns seemed to come pouring out of the shadows.

"Lance...." Luna said stretching her hand to him as he started to fade away. She still had bigger issues to deal with...

Mercy looked back worried seeing more coming to them. She slashed Pride enough that the claw that was holding Nightwing down dispersed into the air. "We have to find the Black Hand!" Mercy told him. "Yeah I know! Stop him, stop everyone!" Nightwing replied back. "First we take care of Batman, don't kill him though, I want to see if Zero can bring him back!"

"Well lets hope he doesn't kill any of us first!" Karmy said portaling next to them. "Oh! Mercy! I'm gonna grab something for ya!" she snapped her fingers and jumped through the portal. A few seconds later, she appeared a few seconds later, holding two dusty guns. "Timbuktu is the best place to store some stuff!" she grinned and held out the guns to her friend.

She couldn't believe it. Her MP5k's she got from Jamie were in her hands again, she felt so at home with them. Her heart fell as she squeezed her hands comfortably around the handles, and a smile involuntarily spread across her face, which lit up like a warm fire. She checked the ammo is a split second and aimed them at Pride. "Nightwing! Want us to go find Black Hand while you take care of your Father?" She asked him. "I can go after the Black Hand." Nightwing told her.

"Okay.. Go, Hurry!" And with that he took off...

"Heheh you're welcome Mercy." Karmy grinned as they ran to look for the Black hand.

Casey woke up with a gasp and looked around. He felt a heavy pressure on his legs as he tried to look up. Well, he really couldn't even feel his legs. "Damnit.."

"Sorry, was a little too psyched at the moment. Thanks.. You know where he is?" She asked running, "You wanna teleport out of Casey's chest for us?"

"Well uh, thats really only a one person thing.." Karmy said running. "Its hard enough getting the portal just right and - oh wait we're here!" she looked up to see the Black hand towering over them. Karmy looked over behind him to see a large hole in the ceiling, and a cloud of dust. Pushing it out of her mind, she focused on the hand.

Ivy noticed Karm and Mercy running to battle Black Hand. No doubt the riders and titans could handle themselves. Besides, she would love to have a violent chat with the bastard who thought bringing back the dead as his army was right!

She dashed after them.

Nightwing tried his best to get Pride restrained so he could get Zero to change him back to normal; after all, his body was barely cold. Success! He dropped Pride to his knees after a good try or two. "ZERO!! NOW! BRING HIM BACK!!"

"WORKING ON IT!!" Zero called back as him and Cyra [superhero name I came up with for Sarah] Fought off Ben, utterly decimating him by combining their hypnosis powers and physically firing a burst of psychic energy at him, blasting him to dust. For Cyra, it felt really good- her only regret was she couldn't tear the little bastard apart again and again after what he did to her. They turned to handle Pridde, but it was too late- using his powers, Pride dissolved into a thousand bat- like creatures, and reformed behind Nightwing. Wordlessly, he looked at him. Only simple thoughts were entering his mind:
Enemies.
Fight.
With a swirl of his cape, neon orange fire, hotter than Greed's, erupted from the darkness and blasted for Nightwing and the others.

The hand scoffed at the riders. "Death is the only true power in the universe! NONE can defeat death- can defeat ME!" he barked, Hacking and Slashing wildly at Karmy, Casey and Mercy.

(O_o... Casey's trapped now Red, Karmy hasn't found him yet)

As they dodged his hacks, Karmy tried to think of something to defeat him. "Lets shed a little light on this!" and she pulled out a flash grenade from her bag. Karmy tossed it to Mercy who was closer to the Black hand.

The hand sneered upon seeing the flash grenade. Ah, simple humans- they knew little of who they were dealing with. Oh sure, light would weaken a normal lantern and would cripple Wrath, but he lacked that glaring weakness. But he didn't let them in on this, and instead Continued his violent atack, this time directing his fury on Karmy, deciding to pick them off 1 by 1.

Reacting fast, Karmy pulled out a knife from her bag and portaled behind the Black Hand. Sending a powerful kick into his back, she jumped on top of him, preparing to stab down into his head.

Shadow tendrills came out form the Hand's ring and constricted Karmy very tightly. As he continued ot squeze her, he began to taunt her. "It seems you wish to be the first to die, you miserable insect." A loud pop resounded as he continued to constrict. "oh, I DO hope I broke soemhting!" he hissed snideley.

Ivy tentatively poked her head into the room. Sure enough, a battle was already commencing. A chill went down her spine as she saw Blackhand. She even trembled a little.
You need to keep fighting Ivy.
She stepped into the room, her hands flared up. "Need a little help?" Seeing Karm, she hurled some fireballs, aiming at the shady tendrils.

(I'll edit if this is ruining any plan you've gotten together. o.o;; )

Reaching out, The Hand swated the fireballs away with his scimitars. "Patience, child! You'll get yours!" He hissed dangerously as he sent out more arms to snatch up Ivy as well.

Nightwing was getting back up, worried, damaged, hurt. This is it. "Zero, we have to double team him. You understand? We need to get him back as soon as possible." He said holding onto his ribcage. "You have an attack pattern we can do that will take him down in time?" He asked Zero.

Artanis realized how much of a hard time Mercy, Karmy, and Ivy were having a hard time with The Black Hand. Mercy was punching and kicking, but to no avail, she sprayed bullets at him with her favorite two guns. This was getting near to impossible. "Remember me!?" Artanis asked sweeping his sword at him.

Karmy struggled in the shadows grip. She could feel that her arm was broken, she wouldn't be using that for a while. She started kicking The Black Hand in the head to try and get him to release his grip.

"Oh yes, i rememebr you!" The hand said, Blocking his sword with his own. 'He is large, strong, and uses his strength to apply his impresive swordsmanship, all the while protected behind that armor. But he can't protect his wings!' The hand thoguht, firing shadow spikes at Artanis, and firing shadow hands towards everyone in the room, including nightwing, Zero and the others. pride saw this unfold.
Nightwing.
Robin.
Partner.
Trouble.
Black hand.
Enemy?

Ivy burst her skin into flames again, finding she could control her powers much easier now. Turning into elements wasn't as draining as controlling them was! She hoped it would just make the shadow hand release her, but if it damaged the Black Hand that was fine with her.

"Let's fight fire with fire!" she taunted, flaring up.

Artanis screamed in pain as he hit the roof and fell down. Nightwing was tossed backwards and smashed into the wall behind him. "Sh... sh*t..." he said raising a hand to try to get back up. "Batman.. come on.. help us.. help me." He said weakly. Mercy was enraged by what was going on, knife in hand she jumped onto the Black Hand's back screaming. "YO! WE BEAT RAVEN'S DADDY WE CAN BEAT SOME BLACK LIL' PR*CK!! C'MON TITANS! LETS ROLL!!!!!!!!" Cyborg yelled opening fire.

Karmy snapped her fingers and made a small portal appear above Black Hand. "This is gonna get hot Mercy! Get away!!" she yelled at her. Once Mercy was out of the way, out from the portal came a spewing stream of magma right on top of Black hand. "Maybe that accident wasn't so bad!" Karmy said as she held her bad arm.

The hand grinned. he could spare one bit of regeneration if it rid him of a few pasts. Shadow arms cane form his back, holding Mercy to him tightly. He turned his back to the lava streal, hoping the stream would strike Mercy. However, a Blast of energy courtsey of Casius blew him out of the way. "Oy, rememebr when you said we need a vacation? I agree, we need a looooooooooooooong vacation if we get out of this." GHotst said to Casius. Hovever, the atack had only proved to irritate the hand. With a swipe of his sword, he fired Black energy ribbons at the two assasins, Mercy, Karmy, Cyborg, anyone tha theld still.

Pride continued to process.
Hand.
Atacking.
Heroes.
loosing.
Nightwing.
loosing.

Coming to a decision, Pride leapt into the battle, charging for the Hand like a bat out of hell.

Mercy saw what was going on and got the idea. Batman was coming back, it was too late to dodge anything. She closed her eyes and got hit hard in the gut from a dark ribbon. She fell in pain but still had full consciousness
