Yick. I never got up to pigs, but I had to dissect three different frogs.

Re: Random Chat
I've seen a roadkilled cat dissected, and personally dissected a sheep's brain, two ox eyeballs (the stuff in the eyes is actually a really pretty color) a pig heart and countless owl turds myself. Yay for biology classes :9
Re: Random Chat
Owl turds contain things like rat bones and all that fun stuff, so they're fun to take apart.
Re: Random Chat
I'm pretty sure that owl pellets are actually vomit. The owl throws up the stuff it can't digest, like bones, fur, and feathers, and you get an owl pellet. The stuff they can eat follows a regular digestive path.

Hey, does anyone know how to resize an image? I found a cool picture I want to use as a new avatar, but I don't how to shrink it down to fit without cropping it.

Open it with MS Paint, select "Image," select "Resize/Skew."

Re: Random Chat
It's times like this I become seriously concerned about what I might do if I ever got an internship with a super-scientist.
I was watching TV, just minding my own business when that Adult Swim celebrates the Sexual Revolution's 50th anniversary commercial comes on. What's the Sexual Revolution, I don't know, why is Adult Swim celebrating it? I also don't know. But I do know that it made me think about how anything we're doing sexually isn't really new, on account of the fact that the ancient Greeks probably did it before us.
This then makes me think about how maybe all our 'Revolutions' are just a return to center, being that the Greeks/Romans are largely observed as the last great civilizations. Which in turn makes me think about how the Greeks may have been able to accomplish more than us if they'd had our power sources. Which makes me wonder what they did use for power. Which was of course people.
Which makes me wonder if maybe people aren't just the single greatest power source in the world, and we're all just too moral to make use of them. After all there are tones of people out there, many of them unemployed.
This then makes me think about how many ways you could gain power from a person, beyond just slave labor, and in the course of a few seconds I wonder if/how one would go about tapping the latent thermal energy given off by people, the latent metabolic energy we use to power ourselves, grow, reproduce cells, as well as the less material creative energies that give us the abilities to do so many marvelous things.
And what's perhaps even a little more concerning is that I actually started envisioning what such energy tapping machines would need to do/look like. Including large metallic rods being implanted into people's brains in order to tap the electrical impulses that make up our thoughts.
So before the commercial is even over, I have gone from sex, to slaves, to the Matrix, to open brain surgery for experimental energy tapping purposes...
I want a Laboratory...

Dude, uncalled for, I know it's unlikely that I'll ever get the chance to act on such thought processes.
But is it pretentious to wonder if maybe a regular person doesn't see an innocuous commercial and start wondering what the most efficient method to use a person as a power source would be?
PS: and it's not 'the equation of a gun' it's the mathematical representation of an impact on an angled surface. Mass, Velocity, Density, Resistance, Deflection of Force etc. Pull the stick out of your ass.
