Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

(Meh. A miserable attempt to restart this already dead RP.)

Everyone had to pause and look at the screen, with disbelieving eyes. Not only was the news disturbing on the fact innocents were being hurt, but by just who was hurting them. A familiar who.

His hands flared with a raging flame, shooting at buildings and cars. Explosions from gasoline were set off, metal bits scattering into the air. The villain had a sneer gracing his features, as others scampered in opposite directions. He was scaring them half to death. And loving it.

He stepped forward, a trail of fire behind him as he walked. The flames licked the walls, eventually reaching a few more buildings and plants, creating more fuel to burn. A cruel laugh escaped his lips. "Nobody can escape. Your heroes are gone. Your world, is our's." He stated in a ghostly rasp. Behind him, a head poked out. Another familiar face. "Game. Over." She stated coldly, red energy sparking from her hands and yanking all the electrical wires down. Lights flickered off in any surviving buildings.

Flash of red.

They were gone.

The clip wasn't more than thirty seconds. As soon as the two arrived, they had demolished everything. And just as quickly disappeared. For a few seconds after their departure, the camera surveyed the damage. An empty, desolate area. Not a thing moved. A crash of collapsing debris from the side. The camera went static.

The reporter went on to say, "In downtown Steel City. Everyone is wondering just why this has happened, and where is Titans East?!" She screamed, fear obvious in her voice. She shuffled her papers, embarrassed of her outburst. But who could blame her? People had probably died in that less than a minute joy ride destruction. That destruction caused by those who should have been heroes.

It had been Hotspot. The first to die. And Argent. The second.

But now it's brought to question: Are they really dead?

Glacey watched the others. She'd seen these two before, but couldn't place them. The reactions of her new friends, standing in the room around her, were... odd. The two one the screen were villains, and must be stopped... so why was everyone freezing? Had some of her power leaked out while she wasn't paying attention? Where was the springing into action? She cocked her head to the side, trying to place the two villains who were wreaking havoc on the populace. Who were they?
