The Darkest of Knights

Ivy smiled. Sky hadn't been there, but.."It's Zero." She replied, "Long story, Skyfire."Her smile grew. "Glad to hear you and Jersey worked out, and you've started VAMP. Let me guess....Vampire association?"

"Vampire And Mammal Paradise, working for human and vampire relations..." Sky stared at Zero. Then turned on Ivy, "What kind of sick joke is that Ivy?" Over the years, she had come to the conclution that Zero's death had been her fault. The radiation that killed him would have only made her sick or her fur/hair glow green for years. "We went to his furneral. He's been dead. So who is this?"

Ivy's smile faltered slightly. "Not a sick joke. It's Zero. I told, you it's a really long story...." It was a long story. It seemed so much more than two years that the whole ordeal had happened. Ivy explained what had happened in as short a way as possible.

Talia walked down the harbor, a smile shining brightly on her face. Looped around her belt sash was her tambourine. It clanged cheerfully with each step she made as she looked at all the boats that floated silently in their docks. She loved the ocean and loved to take a break from the forest to come down and breath the salty air. A seagull cry came to her ears and she turned around to see the creature sitting on a wooden post. "Oh hello there." she said happily and approached it. Patting its head, she noticed that the bird was sitting on something purple. Curious, she lifted the bird slightly, but this startled him and he flew away, causing the item to fall into the water. "Oh dang." Talia laid down on her stomach and began to fish around in the water. Her hands finally closed around around the piece of cloth and she pulled it out. She gasped when she realized what it was. Karmys headband...

[Bak] Casius kept trying to gety ahold of Karmy on the com, but to no avail. "Dammit... Can't go save her AND tract the bat and his merry brood at the same time." He groweled to himself. He turned to Cyrah. "Think you might be able to track her down?" Casius asked her. She nodded. "You're asking like learning from you AND Ghost AND Karmy isn't enough.
She repleid sarcastically. She set off downt he strteet, using the tracking device SHE had place on karmy for just such ocasions on her to follow her. Hey, it helped find her in the hands of that insane cookie dough scientist.

Casius, on the othe rhand, was in full pursuit mode. He tracked the blips on Karmy's GPS, and went at top speed in the direction they were, getting closer by the minute.

Zero noticed Sky, but he couldn't bring himself to focus- he was getting so many bad spacial vibes from nearby he felt like he was gonna puke. But he did manage to say "Dying sucks- I don't recomend it- you get resurected by whackos." He knew sky would be suprised to see him-afterall, she wasn't there for his resurection with the Lantern fiasco.
[O_O! Karms, you didn't....]

Sky clenched her jaw so it wouldn't drop. "Well... wow..." She hugged Zero then quickly let go. "Sorry, I needed that. So what are you guys doing out here?"

Batgirl and Alice eventually met up with Robin. "Okay we'll follow you.." Batgirl told her. "You know where it is?" Alice asked. "Of course she does! She was with Batman.. Right?"

Alice was easily distracted at the wall that had "Special Team of Expert Aerospace Manufacturers". "Oh.. So that's what STEAM stands for." She said. "What?" Batgirl asked. "Nothing.. Nevermind.

Poison Ivy growled. This was taking too long. She could never take on four of them, but she needed that information before somebody else went to investigate. Forget it. she hissed to herself, clinging to the shadows as she made her escape to somewhere, anywhere, else in Gotham.

In one alleyway, she noted with interest, she saw Cyrah and Casius running by. Well look who's returned to play. she thought snidely, keeping hidden in the alley.

Cyrah made ehr way down the windowing roads an alleyways, following her trackers to find Karmy. But she quickly wished she didn't. Her battered body was hard to look at- she was like a sister to her. But what she saw out over the harbor was far more terrifying- Arkahm.

In ruins.
She put Karmy's arm around her hsoulder and held her up. She couldn't tell if she was ok or in limbo, but she was careful just in case. She radioed this into Casius.



"Dammit, they beat her that bad? And Arkahm on top of it!?" Casius said. Cyrah confirmed hsi fears. Well, Arkahm, would have to wait, he was closing in on the signal. He knew from experience that someone was tailing him, but he could handle himself, he was a big boy. He drew his cannon- three shots left. That mean thtings would probably get interesting. He began to close the distance on the blips on the GPS.

"Yeah, you guys going to stop him too? Great we can work together!" Sky was happy thinking of working with her friends again. "What infomation on him do you guys have then?"

Jersey and Nickoli were heading down to the harbor were a lead was pointing. They were on their bikes and Nick had just noticed that Sky wasn't riding with Jersey. "Where's-" "Don't ask. She's mad at me so leave it at that. Now what's that person doing down there?" He asked glancing at Talia. The guys parked and looked out over the water. "Well it's not Batboy." Nickoli said, "Maybe she has-" Jersey was already heading down towards the person. Nickoli shook his head and fallowed.

Ivy frowned. "Yeah. I doubt he even killed anyone." She slowly replied, her brows furrowing into an expression of disappointment and confusion.

"Well he could atleast tell the cops that. If he didn't do it why is he running?" Sky said crossing her arms, "As heroes, helpping innocents and enforcing the law it's our duty. Job. The reason we're heros. Justice is my reason for being." She looked at the trio, "Don't tell me you guys aren't on the hero side now...?"

Zero nodded. "Yeah, I know the guy, he wouldn't just flip like that." he said to them. He began to feel the spacial vibes from Poision Ivy subside, but he got a much, MUCH stronger vibe from Arkahm. He physically became ill due to the intensity and (regretably) lost his lunch right in the middle of the sidewalk. "Something real *urp* f-ed up just went down in Arkahm." he said, still feeling the intense pressure.

Cyrah tried to hobble to shore, but she saw several figures approaching. She backed away, and began to power up her combat systems- just in case.

Casius reached the building the blips were coming from. 'Ready or not.' He said to nobody in perticular, and hammered down the ground-level door.

The trio observed the group of Police officers. Batgirl put her hand to her ear again, "Okay Batman, show us your acting skills." She said. Batman nodded, and turned on the walkie talkie. "OH MY GOD! BATMAN'S HERE! HE'S HERE! IN THE SURVAILANCE R- GAGH!!! FFFFFF-!!!" He shut off the walkie talkie and all the police officers and investigators left the scene of the crime, converging on Batman's location. "He's good." Alice said coming out of hiding. "Yeah yeah, c'mon look for clues.." Batgirl said.

Ivy skittered back from the puke. She gently laid a hand on Zero's back. She narrowed her eyes at Sky. "Batman would never do that." she assured. Now she was contemplating. Whatever was in Arkham was bad if it was making Zero act like this. She couldn't recall many other times this had happened. No way could Zero go there. He'll have to go to Greenwich then, Luna better go with him while he's in that state, and she'll go to Arkham.

She was considering all of this, but not willing to reveal anything in front of Sky, who was actually fighting against Batman.

"Oh hi!" Talia turned to see Jersey and Nicoli heading towards her. "How are you dudes today?" she smiled. She had nothing to hide. She was just an innocent bystander.

Seab and Hac were watching the now-foursome, though farther back than before, and Seab not in his human form. He was urging them to get a move on; he knew there were others looking for Batman, and he wanted to hurry. But he was patient enough not to get angry over something he couldn't control. He noted absently that Luna was anxiously looking around, and hoped quickly that it wasn't anything to do with him.

E-Lusion wasn't scanning over Gotham anymore, instead he was thinking about what was happening in the city. It struck even him that something unusual was happening; unusual for the world he watched anyways, to him Gotham was the illusion. Soooomething's happening... he began thinking, trying to mull over whatever was going on. He'd never get it, he'd been trying to understand Gotham for years. Reality just confused his mind terribly.

Zero could have pushed the pulses aside and gone with Ivy, but he decided they needed to be on Batman's trail while it was still hot. If sky went with her, they could take care of Arkahm, and himself and Luna could easily find out stuff at the scene. At least they had a lead instead of stumbling blindly.

Casius continued to plow in, ignoring protesting police and in one instance lifting one up and dumping him into a nearby garbage bin. Casius decided it was time to make himself known to the Bat. He used his suit's communications device on all available frequencies. "Batman, if you can hear this- and I KNOW you can- I'm coming for you. I respect you and your family, but yours hurt mine. And you how I feel about that." He said, the memory of Karmy's description of her deplorable state fresh in his mind. He didn't come to talk smack, so he shut off his com device afterwards to avoid a reply. It was about time to get to business- PERSONAL business.

The police began to run, Alice, Batgirl, and Robin turned their heads. "What the hell's that?" Batgirl asked. Alice squinted her eyes, tried to listen in. Voice of screaming could be heard. Stomping. "Not Batman.." Robin replied. "Oh sh*t! That's Casius! We gotta move!" Alice said struck in horror. "C'mon lets cheese it!"

Batman was hiding in the shadows, "I don't know what you're talking about Casius, but I thought we had an understanding. My team saved your daughter!" He called out and instantly moved in fear that Casius might blast him the second he got his location.

"Hello" Nickoli said, being polite. "We're looking for someone who might have a lead on the whereabouts of Batman. Would you happen to have any infomation, ma'am?" Jersey stood back. Nicness wasn't his thing.

"Guys, what happened to the hore-ishness? If Batman didn't do it, then why doesn't he come out and say it? Are we just going to deny the fact he might have killed, on accedent?" She glaced at Zero, then back at Luna and Ivy. "It seems to me that Arkahm is the bigger worry for now. If we're on the same side, then shouldn't we take care of that?" She smiled alittle, "For old times sake? Really, I know Batman isn't proven guilty, but I just want the truth, and justice. So, like old times, Ivy what's the plan?" She was really trying to make an effert here, hopeing her old friends would want to also.

"You saved my daughter and I am grateful for THAT, but what about Karmy? She came to you to HELP, so why is she messed up as bad as she is?" He shouted. 'C'mon, gimme something to stun...' He said to himself, aiming his cannon at anything that moved.

Cyrah blinked, trying to register it all. She had this poor mauled woman slumped ove rher.... and they were interrogating her. "Look, not to be rude, but I really don't have the time. If you're not gonna lend a hand, I need you to move it." Cyrah said, probably a little more cross than she meant, but it couldn't be helped.

'Nah.." Talia responded. " I don't know nothing aoub tno Bat man." It was true. She didn't know anything. This wasn't her fight. Though, she never really liked fighting anyways.
