The Darkest of Knights

A robotic version of the Scarecrow surprised Karmy and gassed her with fear inducing toxins. "Feeeeeear..." it whispered. The toxin wasn't as long lasting or as powerful, but still had the same general affect on her.

Continuing to act childish, Zero used his pwoers on the quarted to replace geroge washington's face with that of Batman's mugshot, and flung it at Ivy when batman turned away. He turned back and prented to be innocent. "Well, Poision Ivy outta be first priority right now, after doing everything she just did." he said, having been told the story by his siter earlier. "Don't forget, Slade-ette is still running around, and probably smarting over her last little escapade.." Casius agreed with a nod.

Cyrah was about to pique in, but when the tracker she put on Karmy began to spike-indicating a fighting situation- she got up and trudged in her general direction. "be back in a sec." She said, and mumbeled 'Normal sisters go to the mall- mine goes off and has bloodbaths.' under her breath.

The Edward was appearing and reappearing around the unknown mansion at this point. E-Lu kept his eye on the place, he'd watched a lot of un-named people enter it, but he didn't know what importance it posed, and the thought of peering inside didn't even occur to him.

Seab was thinking of what he could do, or, why he was doing this at all. He was looking to find Batman, not to get proof of the murder; he didn't care if he was guilty or not as long as the police were offering a reward for him. So, he could abandon this and go back to shooting things in the dark, or keep going, probably find nothing, and go back to shooting things in the dark. He might as well have the challenge. He took a knife from his belt and peered into the room below, watching the patrol, ready to jump down and...well, do something.

Hac, still outside, was watching John leave, happy for it now that they didn't need to go into anymore cars. He perched on a tree near by him.

Ivy caught the coin this time, because she saw Zero using his powers on it. It took all her will power not to laugh at the Batman coin. She threw it back with an eye roll.
Moments later, she gave a small snicker when Luna wedgied Zero. "Win." She whispered to her teammate, a smile gracing her lips.

"That- was- wrong-Lu!" Zero stammered, adjusting himself discreetly. He wanted revenge-REVENGE! So he setteled for using his powers on Luna's hair to make it stand up like Jhonny Napalm's.

"Hmmm..." Batman thought. "This Slade-girl. Rose?" He pondered aloud. "Okay so here's what we're going to do, Robin and I will head to the Gotham's Square, normal protocall. Looking over the city. The Midnight Riders can keep an eye on the north-side of Gotham, the Roper Family the south. I'll have Batgirl and Alice have a sweep over S.T.E.A.M. Since we have unfinished business to attend to." He said. "Does... Anyone have any objection?"

Batman noticed the entire conversation and began feeling like a kid inside again. "Don't throw silverware." He said sternly at the Midnight Riders. "Wintergreen is coming with food you can throw at each other."

Ivy clamped over her hand to keep from laughing at them all. "No p-problem Batman." She replied, stammering when she almost giggled in the middle of her sentence. Her team, boy did she know how to pick 'em. At Batman's next sentence, she just cracked up.

Poison Ivy continued to coax the sapling. "Soon, you'll be stronger than you could ever imagine." It's leaves uncurled. "Yes, you want to be stronger, don't you?" The stem stretched.

"My little baby...ready to fight for mommy? You'll have to, soon." A sinister grin flashed across her face. "Very soon."

As Luna threw the stuff at thim, he dodged them and stuck his tounge out at her- untill a dunstbunny flew into his mouth and made him gag like a cat choking up a hairball.

In her time in the Government Institute, the one test that always scared Karmy the most was when they experimented on her with hallucinagins. Karmys mind was weak against them and, no matter how potent, they would always have a powerful affect on her. And now was no different. Karmy began screaming instantly, the toxin already seeping into her brain and causing her to see her greatest fears. The first thing that she saw were snakes. They were slithering all over her, their smooth underbellies felt cold against her skin, causing goosebumps to form. She could only scream for she dare not move. They hissed at her, crawling closer and closer to her face. Their needle like fangs within striking distance of her skin.

In a flash, the snakes were gone but something even more terrifying to Karmy now surrounded her. Men in white coats, their faces distorted and demon like making them even more sinister. They stared down at Karmy, smiling wickedly. They're arms were shaped like scalples and syringes. They looked ready to experiment on her and one of the held wires in his hands. This man, like the one in her dreams, wore thick black goggles. He gave a sinister smile, sharp teeth gleaming in the light, and leaned down towards Karmy. She screamed at the top of her lungs and pulled her headband over her eyes. Her skin was pale white and sweat covered her shaking body as she lay curled in a ball. "Its not real." she tried to convince herself "Go away. You're not real!" tears were now streaming down her face.

Cyrah, noticing Karmy's increasing hertrate and spike in her other vitals, broke out into a sprint as she dashed off to the training room. She formed her Sonic cannon, and barged intot eh room, cautiously approaching Karmy. "Hey... what's wrong?" She asked cautiously, transforming her arm back and placing a careful hand on Karmy's shoulder.

"Heh, I don't mind." The Batman said cheerfully, he hasn't been relaxed in the longest time and he rested. He never rested, never had rested, this was a time to take in.


Alice's voice came down from the intercoms. "Don't help her Cyrah! She's okay. Don't touch her! She might think you're dangerous!" She called to her.


The Riddler popped his head in Scarecrow's lab. "Hey there! What smells like bad chemicals, and has an obsession with burlap?" He chirped at him, the Scarecrow didn't say anything. "God, you guys have no taste in Riddlesn, do you? How's all your potions and what not coming along?" He asked him approaching him cocking his head side to side. "I'm working on it, this is a delicate process." He grunted. "Ouch!" The Riddler said rather surprised, "What happened to your hand?" He asked. "Oh you know," The Scarecrow sighed "The Batman."

"Hey! I thought we said we're not going to engage in any fights with him yet!"
"You think I don't know that? He came busting into my apartment last night."
"Well can you still make those fear thinggies?"
"Of course I can you dolt! What do you think I'm doing?"
"Oh, and about our 50/50 split. Poison Ivy must have had a stick up her ass or something."
"What?!"

Scarecrow stopped working and slammed his fists on the work table and turned furiously over to The Riddler. "How much did you give her?" He asked furiously.

"A 50/50 split."
"50/50?! So how much am I getting?"
"50/50."
"Of how much?"
"Uhh $30,000,000?"
"That's only $15,000,000!"
"What do you mean only $15,000,000? That's still a buttload of money!"
"It could have been twice that much if you hadn't invited that b*tch."
"Hey, where else am I supposed to get a maze? Poison Ivy is perfect!"
"Fine! Just come back in-"
"Ah, ah, ahhhhh... We had a deal."
"So did we till you got Poison Ivy."
"You have all the hallucinogens? The exact ammount?"
"Well I lost a vial to Mame an hour or two ago."
"Mame? That skinny blond chick? Isn't she like 16?"
"Yeah, I think. I dunno, we had therapy together."
"So how long-"
"Another hour."

The Riddler sat where Mame once did. "I'm not leaving until I get the full ammount of... liquid." He said slyly. "I don't mind." He said working. The Riddler twirled his cane in waiting.

Karmy still had her eyes covered so she couldn't see who touched her, but she could hear them. It sounded familiar but she didn't know if it was just her mind tricking her. "Fear... Toxin.." she brought her hands over here ears and screamed at the top of her lungs.

Batman pushed his intercom to reach Wintergreen, "Hey how's the food coming?" He asked "Its coming indeed sir." Wintergreen responded. "Sarcastic as always." Batman laughed, as he let go of the button and grabbed a silver spoon and flicked it at Batgirl. "You too?" She asked laughing, "I'm gonna stab you with this fork Dick!" She threatened. "I'm right here Babs!"

"Oy, how do I snap her out of it?" Cyrah asked, a bit less than polite, but given the circumstances, it couldn't be helped. Then she smacked herself and remembered. She faced Karmy and tried to lock eyes with her in order to try and use her hypnosis to snap her out of it that way instead.

"Hold on!" Alice came running down from a corridor, "Wow is it that serious?" She said as she came up to her. "It was just a small dose of light weight stuff. The hallucinogens weren't that strong, I didn't think she'd go awol. It should last until the next post or something." Alice said assured of her timing but still scratching her head..

After a bit, Karmy lifted her headband to see if 'they' were still out there. After her eyes readjusted to the light, she saw that they were gone. She immeadiatly hugged the first person she saw; Cyrah.

"My god Karmy! Screw it! C'mon, let's go back to the second floor. They're probably worried or something." Alice said her hands about to rip out her own hair.

"You ass!" Karmy turned to her. "Why the hell would you spray me with that stuff?! I thought you knew how badly hallucinogens affected me! That was low.."

"It wasn't a large amount! Plus you asked for more, so I used your weakness!" Alice protested, her hands on her hips, "What did you expect? A cardboard cut out of The Joker?"

"No.. Wait do y'all actually have those?" Karmy asked. "Nevermind, I don't wanna know. But I mean seriously dude! Messing with my mind after I just recovered from amnesia and have had a history of bad hallucinations? Where's the logic in that?!" she said getting defensive

"Okay, okay. God, sorry Karmy. It won't happen again..." Alice said apologetically. "Come on, we have to go." She said extending a hand to her.

"Yeah it better not.. Those men in white.. They're terrifying Alice. You have no idea what they did to me a long time ago." Karmy said looking away.

"Yeah... I know Karmy. All those years ago. I know. Your father... I'm sorry." She said with a voice of concern.
