The Darkest of Knights

Raven turned her communicator on high blast volume, "Excuse me for this Luna cover your ears." She advised her. "IVY, ZERO, NOW!" She screamed, not wanting to be anywhere near the interrogation room. "This Crimson guy says he wants to help you or something, I don't know his full intentions! Hurry up!" She said clicking her communicator off and tapping her foot.

"Uh.. Had a dream about... Noodles.. I think. Or was it tentacles?" Damian asked himself. "Anyway, what time is it?" He questioned Robin trying to find his boots.

"Hey there sugar." Alice said to Karmy leaning over her and plopping down next to her. "I know... You're probably really mad at me. You probably don't even want to see my face right now." She said scootching a bit closer to her. "You gotta believe me when I say that I'm sorry. You didn't eat in days.. And I was so worried... I just didn't want to see you in so much pain."

Dick and Barbara decided to stay in their room to have a little alone time to themselves. After talkingto each other for what seemed like hours they both reached the curiosity of what was happening in Gotham. Dick flicked on the television to the news channel. Blocked. "What the-" Dick scrolled through several other news channels. FOX, CNBC, CNN, ABC, WTF, STFU."Huh.. They're all blocked." Barbara mused. Dick was about to rip his hair out. "I'm gotta know what's going on.. I'll get Cyborg." He said, the both got out of bed and luckily he was walking down the halls. "Hey, Cy. Why are all the news chanels blocked?" He asked curiously. "Cause," he smiled walking past them, "you're here to relax. Keep your mind off the mission for now." "What?" Dick asked flabbergasted. "You should watch a movie." Cyborg laughed turning a corner.

"I'm not mad Al.." Karmy said, pulled her legs to her chest so Alice could have more room. She lifted her head and looked at her from underneath the hood. "I have never in my life been mad at you Not even when you were Slade's apprentice. I was just frustrated because you were lost at the time and now, I'm afraid because I thought you were mad at me."

"I'm not mad at you Karmy. I'm worried. I thought you were starving yourself to death cause you didn't have your bag.." Alice said curling up into a ball. "I'd hate losing you."

Barbara looked at Dick. "Let's just go back to the common room." Dick said. "There's the television up there with the collection of movies." He said taking Barbara's arm. "You actually want to watch a movie?" She asked. "Why not? We're here to relax." Dick sighed as much as he hated saying that. "Damn him."

"Guh.. I'm friggin hungry. Pancakes come and go. Wanna come with? Let's raid the fridge!" Damian smiled, putting on his boots.

"I usually wouldn't tell you.. But I like you." Raven said "You fit my style." She said half smiling. "You could have warned me." Red Robin complained. "Shut it Drake."

Dick and Barbara stepped into the common room and immediately spotted Alice and Karmy. "Oh are we interrupting something?" Barbara asked. "We came to uhh watch a movie. Wanna join us?"

Karmy sighed. "I don't even know if I can eat.." she didn't bother to look when Dick and Barbara came in. "Suuurrreeee...." she said, unmoving.

"Cool, I'm feeling for Pixar." Barbara smiled looking at the large library of movies The Titans collected. Just then Damian and Nicole came through the doors. "Hey wanna watch a movie?" Dick offered. "Depends. What is it?" Damian asked. Barbara began scrolling through the Pixar films. "Toy Story, Bugs Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles!, Cars, Ratatuoille, Wall-E, Up, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Brave, and Monsters Inc. 2.. Aww that's all they have?" Barbara asked. "Yeah looks like Cy stopped collecting Pixar films after Brave." Dick thought. "Food first." Damian said, his stomach growling. "You start whatever you want." He said looking around the fridge. "Hey Karmy. You like the ocean right?" Alice asked. "Finding Nemo takes place in the ocean." Dick said. "I saw that movie when I was eight years old.."

"Yeah... I love the ocean." Karmy mumbled, still maintaining her moody demeanor. "Whats Pixar? Never watched movies or tv when I was a kid.. Didnt get much of a childhood.."

"Surely you can't be serious." Alice said in disbelief. "I'm serious. And don't call me Shirley." Dick quoted. Ignoring Dick, Alice picked Karmy up and lay her on the couch. "Then you have to watch this." Alice smiled and ran up to the television screen and picking up Finding Nemo from Barbara's hand and plopping the DVD in. Barbara took a seat, cruddy 2003 graphics were displayed on the screen. This is 30 year old technology, its gonna look bad by comparison of how well CG movies are done. "Prepare to be wow-ed." Alice smiled pressing play. Damian was also making an impresively large sandwich. "The movie is starting!" Damian said rushing his sandwich.

"The only cartoon I ever saw was some show called.. Adventure Time. It made me want to kill myself." Karmy said as the movie started, resting her head in her arms again. The beginning of the movie made Karmy even sadder. A father who loses all but one of his entire family, it made Karmy miss her dad, Richard. The score of the film didn't help either and she curled herself tighter. But, as the movie progressed, her eyebrows raised in interest when the scenes became more colorful and humor was introduced. To Karmy, this was the best animation she had ever seen! A small smile crept across her face when the obnoxious kid fish said the boat was called a 'butt'. But the smile vanished when Nemo was taken and a shudder went through her body.

Alice held onto Karmy to try to stabilize her. It was a movie, she was supposed to enjoy it. "Calm down.." Alice whispered to her. "Relax. You're too tense." After the title character had been taken away and Marlin, the main character had bumped into the co-star, Dora. Her blue and black color contrasted Marlin's orange and white color, not only did they look different, their personalities were stark contrasts. Just the voice itself was uplifting. Damian finished his sandwich a bit too quickly, he got the hiccups quick but yawned it off. When he yawned though, he stretched his arms to go over Nicole's shoulder. Well he intended to if Dick hadn't slapped his hand away.

Karmy kept her focus on the movie, enjoying the the next scene. Dory was kooky and when she was around Marlin, it was funny. When Dory told Marlin that she had short term memory loss, the face that Marlin made was... Familiar to Karmy. Someone had given her a face like that before but.. She couldn't quite place it. Shrugging it off for later, Karmy jumped when Bruce suddenly appeared. "Whoa.." she said in a low breath. He was huge! She watched Marlin and Dory being dragged away by him and all hope seemed lose but... The bell rang and Karmy was confused. Ohh, they were having a meeting. When they got to the part about, "Fish are friends, not food." a sudden burst of energy swept through Karmy and she shouted. "Hear, hear!" then quieted down again.

Cassius didn't sleep- he passed out and got hangovers. Sleep was a lesser device for weaker people. He spent a majority of his time aimlessly watching TV, only for all of decent the channels to all be blocked. He then went to the default of doing diagnostics and such on his armor, charging his cannon, just boring Cassius stuff. When he heard people moving about and all, he decided to get out and see what everyone was up to. He noticed Karmy in the living area watching some cheery kids show. He didn't bother with a lot of that- he didn't want people to get the dillusion he had feelings or a soul or whatnot. Then again, he felt it was his duty as a father and all that crap to be with Karmy, so he floppeed down on the couch, squashing Greyson beneath him. He knew he did it, but he feigned ignorance. "Hey, feeling any better?" He asked Karmy with concern.

As time dwindled Rose and Cyrah had headed off to get some rest ten hours before, they were chatting like they had known each other forever, and they came back acting just the same. Rose snuck up behind Karmy and looked at her. "Hey, uh, is she gonna........... be ok?" Rose asked. Cyrah shrugged. "She lost something important, she'll be better once we get it back." She explained, ommiting the details on the bag or that they were going to have to beat the crap out of Slade to get it back.

Harvey Dent is suffering in press-hell right about now, Slade is off doing what it is evil assasins do, and Metallo is.......... somewhere.

"Hey get the hell off!" Barbara shouted, Alice paused the movie, Dick tried to shove Cassius off of him, Red X punched Cassius, and Barbara and Alice jump kicked Cassius. The movie was paused where the angler fish was caught by the scuba-diving mask.

While the scuffle went on, Karmy had the sudden urge to leave. She felt like she had caused this in some way or another. "F*ck... Can't even watch a movie without making everyone pissed off." she closed her eyes and snapped her fingers, portaling to the roof of the tower. "I'm so pathetic.." she mumbled, sitting on the edge and looking at the night scene.

"What the- you dillweeds! Get of me-"Cassius began to protest and pry the Batmob off of him, but Sarah got the catch first- Randomly, she bagan banging Damian, Alice, Greyson, Barbara and her father's heads together untill everyone seemed to get the gist. She then stuck her finger at the feuding group. "Shape up! Bad enough you all mobbed up, but NOW? REALLY!?!" She scolded. She looked to see Karmy portal away. "I'll be back to deal with you all again in a minuite!" She said in a 'don't sass me, young man' style. Cassius beamed with pride- his daughter had jsut scolded a bunch of grown men.

It took her a while, but Cyrah found Karmy alone on the rooftops. She left Rose inside, this was a sister- type deal. She walked over to Karmy cautiously. "Hey, it's cold out here, whatcha' doing out here by yourself?" She asked with concern.

"So are you going to let me go?" Crimson inquired. Even though he had come to titans tower for a reason, he now didnt want to be in the tower for even a second more.

"I seem to be causing a load of fighting, Cyssy.." Karmy said, hanging her head in shame. "Beside's the norm... Guess I piss everyone off. I'm a sad excuse of a friend."

Ivy cringed at Raven's loud voice screeching out of the communicator. "On our way, sheesh!" She called back into the com., using her free hand to guide Zero back to the tower. "Hey, do you think robots dream of electric sheep?" She asked absently, to fill the silence as they walked to the Tower.

(Now I wanna watch Finding Nemo...)

"Watch where you sit!" Alice yelled slapping the back of Cassius' head. "Can't you tell we were watching a movie?" She asked him in disbelief. "She was just brightening up Cass! Argh!!"

"You get out when The Midnight Riders come and when they say so. Luna, you're a Rider. Wait with him till the other Riders come." Raven sighed walking out. "I'm going for dinner." She said "you coming Red?" She asked Red Robin. "Coming!"

"I allways thought they dreamed of the sheep we get steel wool from, so probably." Zero replied as he ignored Raven's squaking. She had become a tad more high strung in the years since he had been trained here. He couldn't help but feel a tad airheaded- even after all these years, he couldn't help but feel something when when him and Ivy touched..... maybe he was just being overly gushy......

"Hey hey, Don't be hard on yourself. You aren't the blame for any of that." Sarah said compasionateley to Karmy, trying her best to improve her mood.

No matter how hard Cyrah tried, Karmy just couldn't bring herself to believe her. But, not wanting to be an annoyance anymore, she complied to whatever she was told. Standing up, she looked at Cyrah with dead eyes. "Now what?" she asked.

"Huh. Now I would like to see a robot sheep. They must have strong pliers to cut off steel wool." Ivy mused, smiling at Zero even though he couldn't see it. The tower's entrance was slowly approaching. Despite herself, the heroine found herself dreading it. This was the first time she had hung out with Zero in quite some time, even if they were asleep for most of it.

"Sooo you're not gonna let me go untill the riders say so?" Crimson inquired. He didn't even talk to luna the while he was waiting for the rest of the riders.

An awkward silence followed after Karmy's previous question. She stared at Cyrah blankly for a few moments and then blinked. Without another word, she snapped her fingers and portaled then bback to the room. She slouched to the corner and curled up.

"Karmy?!" Alice stood up and ran over to her. "Karmy, where did you go? Are you okay? You're acting so depressed. C'mon... What can I do to cheer you up?" She offered.

Raven walked down to the entrance of Titan's Tower with Red Robin. "What are you feeling for?" Red Robin asked, "Pizza?" Raven stood looking out and letting the cool breeze brush past her. "Sure why not. We'll bring several pizzas back to the tower." Raven agreed. "Hadn't had pizza in a while." Red Robin mused as Raven formed a disc under them and they rose above ground, flying to the city. "That's because some peopl don't put away the boxes after they're done with them." Raven muttered. "Heh, we're 30 years old and we're still eating pizza." Red Robin smiled. "It never lost it's taste." Raven admitted.
