The Darkest of Knights

Cyrah cast Batman a tired look. "I've thought about it, all right." She said, not givining a definitive reply because, frankly, she didn't have one, her mind was still a tummult of feelings and thoughts.

"Okay... We're going now." Batman told Cyrah softly. "C'mon everyone! Let's move! Times wasting!" He said sprinting out. Red X front flipped out the door. "I'm better than you Batman, we should be Red X and Batman from now on." He mocked.

"Uhh, yeah! Let's.. Uhh..." Tim stumbled over his words. "Oh look the Alarm!" He shouted, just then the alarm sounded. "Whoa.. That was creepy." He commented. Alice got up to check the computer. "Its Killer Moth. If anyone here knows him more than anyone its Batgirl." Alice mused looking at the files.

(Going to be out of town for a few days, won't be back until Tuesday at the latest. Use my characters when needed.

And I'm so sorry for having to miss out on the RP. =/ I was looking forward to this.

Cyrah nodded sleepily, getting to her feet and stretching what few muscles she had remaining. She ran over Damian on the way out, not noticing he was there due to how sleepy she was. Zero was carefuly led out by Ivy, Cassius not far behind. "Ready when you are, bossman." Zero said in batman's general direction.

Batman took out a flashlight as they entered the shaft not knowing if everyone had night vision. Damian was cursing under his breath and moving behind Batman. What seemed like hours passed as they pursued downward into the mine shaft. Deeper. Deeper. "The map is so general, how does Ra's expact us to find it? Its like a maze.."

Batgirl rode up to the airstrip that Roxie directed her to. She nodded to her and took off her mask. No doubt the world already knew by now, it still felt weird necertheless. "So he's in there?" She asked her.

Metallo credited himself with being sharp. When he picked up Barbara's voice outside, he began to peice the puzzle together. He used his X-ray vision on the crates, getitng a grim idea. Sure enough- the EM generator that was stolen from S.T.E.A.M. So THAT was it- Thorne dragged him out here to die! Well, Metallo wasn't onto THAT idea with much warmth. He amped up his figting systems, ready to tear into anyone that tried to activate the generator......

"Maybe it's Ra's little joke- he could benefit from us being stuck down here." Zero proposed grimly. "Not likeley- He dosen't seem like the type for parlor tricks like this. I recomend we just keep following the map as best we can." Cassius suggested. Cyrah remained quiet.

[I'll wait for Deceiver to post, dunno all his intentions for this scene.]

"Doesn't it glow green? Where the hell is it?" Batman asked beginning to get pissed, he shined the light down a series of hallways. "The map says we take this one. God, I'm completely lost."

Roxie had been waiting for her guest, leaned up against the side of her car smoking a cigarette, bad habits traveled in packs. "Yep, the guy you want ought to be in the back of the truck. Watch it though there should be a couple of thugs in the truck's cabin." She'd keep the EMF generator a secret for now. No reason to show all her, and besides, adrenalin was a powerful drug, powerful enough to make normally kind people do things they might not normally do. Let Metallo and Gordon duke it out for a bit, then hit the button. The generator ought to be strong enough to shut down everything mechanical within a half mile of the airfield, Metallo included. "Be careful Barbara."

The boys in the truck however hadn't been told about Thorne's little plan. Better to sell it encase Metallo happened to somehow win. "The hell? What're those chicks doing here?"
"Chicks nothing that one's the bat-fille." Marcus threw the truck into reverse, and stomped on the gas in an attempt to get out of fire and back into the frying pan. The result however could've been predicted by anyone watching. The truck's cab was too heavily loaded and the attempt to turn it around so quickly twisted it wrong. The cabin flipped first and then the twist slowly picked the cab up off its front wheels, metal howled in protest as the long cab was slowly brought over onto its side. It was testimony to sturdy construction that the thing didn't just snap in half.

"Okay, so they've got this party started already?" Barbara asked fixing her mask over her face again. "All I have to do is put him in his place right?" She asked jumping on the R-Cycle and revving it up, the smell of burnt rubber filled the air and she boomed to the tipped truck. An Eye for an Eye. This phrase buzzed around, in her head, the entire way to the airstrip. The sparks of adrenalin rushing through her veins. Barbara wasn't herself anymore.

"Hey didn't I tell you to sleep in your uniform in case something like this happens! Right Bat-... Wait where's Batgirl?" Tim asked looking around. Cyborg grew concerned. "Some vacation this turned out to be. Scanners say she's not in the Tower. Let me check the security cameras so I can track her, she doesn't have the same frequency as our communicators so I can't pin point her. You guys go get Killer Moth while I try to locate Batgirl." He said. "Blah blah blah, we'll catch you later Cyborg, Titans, Go!" Red Robin yelled pulling his mask down.

Karmy had jumped into her bag real quick to change clothes, now wearing a pair of jeans and a black shirt. Seriously, she was gonna have to teach Nicole about color's when she was back to normal as Karmy could get. "Where is he, Robin?" Karmy asked timidly as she approached the team. "I'll take us there."

"He's at 15607 SW 186th Terrance, he just finished wrecking a bank from what the reports are saying." Red Robin stopped in his tracks. "Beast Boy you've fought him before right? He's a pushover right? I mean Barbara always said he was a complete wuss.. Right?" He asked to make sure. "Whatever! Who cares! It'll be a million to one!" Alice said crossing her arms and tapping her foot.

Killer Moth turned to see the Hero in blue. "Ah if it isn't ... You.. Person." Killer Moth said lightly stepping back.

"Patience, Al." Karmy said in a monotoned voice, not like Raven's of course. Closing her eye's for a second, she got a visual of the location and snapped her fingers, causing everyone to fall through. Karmy and Alice landed easily while the others, who weren't used to it yet, fell. Though, Beast Man changed into a bird before he fell and began to circle the skies.

Metallo indulged in a string of curses that made Southpark look like baby enstein by comparison when the truck flipped. "So THIS is how you bastards wanna' play, huh? Fine!" Be barked, and tore out of the trailer of the truck, pissed and ready to roll. "First things first, you backstabbing shrew:" Metallo hissed, an unholy river of radiation pouring from his eyes and shooting for Roxie. They wanted a fight? They got one.

"No, I think the pit is further this way, and then we go here...." Cassius said, reading the map cautiously and trying his hardest to make sense of the various twists and turns the map was having them take.

Zero was still being led along by Ivy, Cyrah right there with them.

Batgirl, still pushing the R-Cycle, hit a scrap piece of metal and used it as a ramp to shoot the speeding vehicle at Metallo, the motorcycle spun violently at Metallo knocking him just enough to veer the blast off course. "Hey asshole, remember me?" She asked landing roughly on the ground.

Batman didn't want to argue, he knew that it was better off taking whatever route Cassius said. "Alright then. Its not like we have much of a better chance anyway." Batman replied shining his light down the darkened hallway. Creeks and ominous sounds came from every corning they turned...

"A-ha! You Heroes think you have me now! Well... You don't!" Killer Moth laughed with a cheesy sense of humor, then he took off, flying away on his own wings yelling something.

"You orchestrate this little trap, batcakes?" Metallo snarled, pissed beyond beleif that he let himself walk right into this obvious trap. But he wasn't here to talk sh*t, he was here to teach everyone here just what happened when you messed with John Corben. He tore up a peice of the runway and launched it batgirl.

Rose pointed and laughed when she saw Killer moth running off. "Get back here 'ya big ugly pile! I haven't given you your daily dose of vitamin asswhuppin'!" Rose Mocked, seeming to enoy it a bit TOO much as she took off after the Moth. It didn't take long to realize why her and Cyrah got along so well.......

Cassius was about to make another correction to their confusing route, but when they turned a corner, they practically stepped right into the pit. Right there, practically feet away, was a shimmering, emerald green pit. "Well, looks like the place...." he said, passing the map off to Greyson.

When they were coming up with Batman and Cassius to the pit, Zero quickly yanked Cyrah over to him so nobody else could hear. "Hey, sis." Yeah, what is it Matty?" "When we get to the pit, I want you to jump in first." Zero said to Cyrah. In return, she looked at Zero like he had grown a few extra heads. "N-no way, I couldn't d-" "Look, this is a surefire way to get your body back. We'll probably never get another shot like this. The pit is right there. You've suffered anough over the years, it's not fair I go in for something as trivial as my eyes while you've lost almost your whole body. As your brother, I'd rather you went in." Zero assured Cyrah.

For a moment, the words couldn't come to her- Cyrah's mind once more became a blender of emotions.

But she quickly came to her conclusion. She gave her brother a quick hug. "Thanks Matty. But...." Before Zero could protest, Cyrah shoved him powerfuly past Batman and Cassius and into the shimmering pool. The color drained out of the pool as it worked it's magic on Zero. His eyes regained their bright red coloration, even the two Zeroes tatooed to his face had completeley vanished. And one more thing: Memories. THey came flooding back to him like a durst dam. Memories of being a kid, growing up with Sarah and his parents, the years in the lab, the Nerve accelerator that gave him his powers, his confusion when his mind was wiped and the raw emotion caused his powers to rampage out of control and bring down the facility. Zero slumped out fo the pool, looking good for how he felt. He had chambered his mind against the type of insanity the pit caused beforehand with his powers, so he didn't have to worry about that.

"But..... why didn't you go in?" Zero asked Cyrah. "I didn't need to. These past few years, I thought of this as my private hell." She said, examining her metalic hand. "I beleived it my curse. But with this power, I've been able to fight on an unprecedented level, I can fight with people like Batman, stick up for what I beleive in with confidence, protect those I care about." Cyrah said, deep in thought aboout her words. "I've made this curse my blessing. I'd rather keep this power now that I have it then loose it." She said in conclusion. But it was written on her face that it was a hard conclusion to come to- secretly, a little part of herself would still give anything to back and see if the pit would heal her, but largeley she shut that part out and had come to terms with her own curse, at long last.

Brotherly, Zero put an arm around Cyrah. Words just couldn't come anymore- Cyrah returned the favor, and the two turned to leave, Ivy trotting behind them.

"I'll be damned.... I'll just simply be damned." Cassius said, awed and quite impressed at what had just gone down, with Cyrah giving her brother the pit openly.

"Yeah... Ok.." Karmy portaled on top of one of the buildings to get a better view of Killer Moth. Searching her bag, she found a torch and a lighter. "Like moths to the flame." she muttered as she lit the torch and held it up to see if that got Killer Moth's attention. Meanwhile, Beast Man was dive bombing him in the form of a falcon, scratching at his large eye's with his talons.

Batgirl front flipped and dodged the hurling sheet of metal that swarmed its way to her, releasing a disk from her hand it spun at Metallo. "I didn't organize anything! I just took a tip from a mobster!" Batgirl shouted back at Metallo.

Batman observed the selflessness portrayed in Cyrah's actions. Its always easy talking about how selfless one is, but acting upon it is a completely different thing. All these things stirred in his heart and kept it there. For future reference. "Good job Cyrah, I'm sure everyone here is proud of you." He said to her pressing a series of buttons on his communicator. "I've activated a sonar beacon so we'll be directed back to the batship in no time. If it says we're going off course it'll beep and direct us in the right direction." Batman informed everyone. "Let's head back."

"Oh I just HAPPENED to be in a truck with an EM generator and you MAGICALLY come out because a random mobster tipped you off? Nice try Batbrains." Metallo sneered, insult in his voice. The story was too ridiculous to beleive. He effortlessly took the blast of the explosion, hardly scratched. "Come on, you've got to do better then THAT!" Metallo taunted, firing a radiation bolt at Barbara.

Cyrah nodded. "Thanks." She said simply to Batman as they followed the beacon tot he exit, the ropers and Ivy not quite finding the words for the moment.

Working as CEO of Wayne enterprises was big enough job, but being the Batface at the same time was tiring on a new level. Harvey Dent had new respect for Bruce Wayne as he managed to sneak in a whole half an hour of sleep before dragging himself into the head office building, running on nothing but Mocha and what little rest he had snuck in. He found himself recalling a conversation he had with the midnight riders two years ago, and wish he had that Espresso fountain right about now......

Batgirl dodged again ever so carefully, the beams were so close she could feel the streams of bright green energy rush past her and nearly melt a part of her suit off. She made it till she was right in front of Metallo hopped over him tapping his back and planting a certain device on it. "Shut up! You're just a murderer, nothing else needs to be explained!" She yelled at him pressing a detonation, propelling Metallo in the opposite direction.

Batman pressed the coordinates back to Titan's Tower and walked out to the room where everyone else was in. "Zero!" He said surprised. "You mean, you don't even need your goggles anymore?" He asked noting the fact that he was seeing fine and was in fact goggleless.

Cyborg shot beams at Killer Moth, Alice, her submachine guns. Red Robin was scaling a building to match Killer Moth's height."Bwaahah! Catch me if you can Titans!" A support helecopter hit Killer Moth and his mask fell off. "You idiot! I said grab me! Not hit me!" He yelled at the driver inside. "Get us out of here, now!" He screamed climbing in.

"Myabe not for ME, but what aboout YOU?" Metallo said, peeling the spent device off him and throwing it off to the side. "Drawing me out here for a personal kick? I thought you Bats were above that personal vendetta crap." Metallo asked snideley. "Ah well, either way this is gonna end the same, Batpunk." Metallo said. Showcasing the strength he had, he hoisted an even bigger peice of runway up, and pitched it for Batgirl again.

At first Zero himself was a bit cautious at looking at light, but when the light hit his eyes, he didn't feel that familiar acid burn. "I suppose I don't." He said, taking it all in in two-year old curiosity.

"Watch it!!" Killer Moth yelled at his partner as the disks barely missed the chopper. "Activate the optic camouflage now!" He commanded. "Hey! I thought you said this is for old time sake!" His partner yelled back. "This is! And I was your boss back then!" Killer Moth spat. "Geez, whatever man. I thought we were going to burn the bank down." His partner replied "That's too obvious right now! Just activate the camo and get us out of here! They're gaining!" Killer Moth panicked. "Fine okay, here we go." His partner lazily responded. In a split second, just as everyone had their position the entire helicopter disappeared before their eyes.
"Whoa! What the hell was that?!" Alice asked in disbelief.

Batgirl skidded to the floor and whipped back up, shooting her grapple hook at Metallo's head, with the force of her body and using the momentum to her advantage, she was able to take down Metallo. "Just shut up! Of course you wouldn't know how I'm feeling right now." She spat at Metallo. She has fought bigger foes, tougher foes, and heavier foes than Metallo. She didn't have a doubt in her mind she could take a this murderer down. "I'm not going to kill you. But I'm not saving you either."

Batman was astonished, he really was surprised at the powers that the Pit had. When he knew Zero he couldn't even take off his goggles in darker places. The scars on his face, vanished. That was a real shocker. He looked so different now. "Well I'll be." He said sitting down. "Anything else you've recovered?" He asked intrigued if the Pit did any other wonders. Last time when Barbara went through Lazarus Pit, she did go insane for a short period, but it was so brief it was as if it didn't happen. Maybe there was something else to it. He knew for a fact that it even made Barbara younger, he wondered if the Pit also did that to Zero. Maybe that was the reason he looked so different.

"What the hell just happened?" Karmy asked as she landed next to Alice. "I know he was just there a second ago..." Beast Boy swooped down and landed on Cyborg's shoulder. "Dude, I know Killer Moth can't do THAT!" he said, astonished.
