The Darkest of Knights

Karmy was still hyper active, so she really didn't need her legs. Pushing herself up with her hands, she walked around on her hands instead. "Nice try Al!" she laughed.

A clamp went down on Karmy's hands, when she looked up she saw Cyborg, her hands were immobile with specially designed handcuffs. "Wow Cyborg.. Uhh, where did that come from?" Red Robin asked emerging from a sea of kitchen appliances. "Well you don't know this Red, but this hippie has a nitch for hijacking expensive vehicles. Two years ago she tried taking the T-Sub." Cyborg explained. "So I designed these handcuffs and keep them with me whenever she's around in case she goes out of control." Raven stood up kicking utensils out of the way. "Also while I was in Gotham she super glued Alice and her sister to the top of the Batmobile and took it for a joy ride." She added. "I'm sure its not her first." Raven remarked.

Karmy looked up at the titans as if she were pouting, which she pretty much was. "You guys are no fun." she stuck out her tongue. "I wasn't gonna explode anything this time, or steal the T-Sub."

"What are you talking about?! You did more damage to the Tower than Silky did in an entire morning!" Cyborg yelled at Karmy. "We have to clean this junk up now, and I mean now! I find out we have to go to Metropolis tomorrow I do not want to leave the Tower like this!" Cyborg said looking around. "Gee man, Karmy made this mess so quickly, you think she can clean it up as quickly?" Red Robin mused examining the damage. "No way! We are not take those cuffs off! She'll only screw the place up more!" Cyborg protested.

And idea came to Karmy and she hopped up, swaying a bit since she was still tied up before she leaned against the counter. "I'll clean the place up, that finch berry tea is still in my system. But it's gonna cost ya." she gave a sly smirk. "

"Okay first of all, capital Enn, capital oh. NO! Got that? No way you're getting out while that stuff is still affecting you. Secondly, just who the sh*t you think you are telling me that its gonna cost me for you to clean up your own damn mess huh? You trippin' girl!" Cyborg barked at Karmy. "Okay, okay, I get what you mean, geez." Red Robin said picking up an impressive amount of silverware and distributing them in their correct manner. Alice helped in the kitchen, and Raven took care of larger scaled jobs. "Just look at the mess you made in my tower!" Cyborg steamed. "Its my fault Cy. Raven said I can sample some of her tea and.." Alicw was interrupted when Raven dropped the couch in realization what Karmy sampled. "Deathberry!?" Raven asked in shock. "You let her taste Deathberry?!" Alice shrunk a bit. "Uhh.. No not taste.. She drank the entire cup." Alice correct. "Oh great, seeing how Karmy acts, she's going to be hyper for a week." Raven said resuming her work.

"I'll be like this for a week? Sweetness!" Karmy cheered but lost her balance. "Ouch." she mumbled when she hit the floor. "Oh please, Cyborg." she huffed as she leaned against the lower cabinets. "I've escaped from worse situations, this shouldn't be hard at all." she then looked at her hands. "This might be harder then I thought."

"I wouldn't try to break that hardware if I were you." Cyborg warned. "Unauthorized exit will lead to a 50,000 watt zap." Raven glared at Alice. "I'm not a human calculator Karmy. I was just saying that's what it looks like." She said gritting her teeth.

Karmy knew how agonizing electricity was, all thanks to those bastards at the institute. Also it was another reminder of Casey so at that point she quieted down and hid her head in her knees. A muffled, 'sorry' was heard from her.

"Oh what was that? I didn't catch that!" Cyborg smiled. "Cut it out Cy, get to work." Red Robin ordered. "Yeah whatever man. Beast Boy how did you come across her again?" He asked taking several rags to clean up still wet paint.

"That is a story for when I am not trying to clean out play-doh from inside the trash compactor and every other plumbing device!" Beast Man called out as he changed into a snake and headed down the pipes. Karmy crawled underneath the table and curled up. She was still jittery but the fear of being zapped was enough for her try keep quiet.

"You think THIS is bad, you should have seen what she did in Moscow." Cassius said to Luna, busting the ropes he was tied in. "We were lucky to make it out alive." He said, getting to his feet.

Cyrah and Rose looked like a rainow barfed all over them, and they wasted no time in wiping the multicolored stuff off them. Cyrah still tinkered with the drone's device like it was the most interesting thing she had ever seen, adjusting wires and pushing buttons to somehow adjust it.

"The sooner you get here the better- the last one of these knocked over half of Jump city, I don't want to see what a more powerful one could do somewhere as denseley populated as Metropolis." Superman said to Batman, concern in his voice.

"We'll be there Superman. We need to catch up with our team first." Batman informed him now landing atop of Titan's Tower. "We'll see you tomorrow, you can count on it." He smiled, the conversation basically ended, and the small group headed inside.

"What the hell happened in here? Did a tornado hit?!" Batman asked astonished at the damage. "Close." Cyborg said pointing at Karmy. "Alice gave her finch berry infested tea." Raven remarked.

"Yeah.." Damian sighed trying to get up.

"At least it was tasty!" Karmy called out from underneath the table, poking her head out to look at Dick. "Proves I'm back to normal though. I guess." she shrugged.

"We wouldn't have it any other way, miss crazy." Cassius said, clopping by and patting Cyrah on the head. "It's good to have you back to normal..... well, as normal as it gets with you." he said, releived.

"Yeah, oh and hey Cass, after they let me out of these damn things, I gotta talk to you." Karmy said, remembering the chip in her bag.

Beast Man popped out of the drain with a wad of play-doh and tossed it in the trash. "I just don't even want to know.." he shook his head. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Cyrah tinkering with something. "Hey whatchu got there?" he asked, walking over to her. "That kinda looks like the same tech for Cyborgs holo-ring. Where'd you get it?"

"I bummed it off of one of Slade's goonies. I think it was the thing's hologram doohickey." Cyrah said, replacing the cover. "I got an idea when I saw it, and well, I figured I'd putter with it and where it got me." She said. She clipped it to one of the plates on her hip. "I got this crazy idea when I saw it, and, well, I wanted to see if it could make me look..... normal again." she said hopefully. "Cross your fingers." She said to BB as she pressed the button......

A girl walked up to Karmy and poked her. She had red eyes, brown bangs that fell over her right eye- and no implants. She wore a green tanktop, bleach- white jeans, and black and white tennis shoes........

"Holy crap- OW!" Karmy jumped up but forgot she was underneath the table and smashed her head. "Ouch.." she pushed herself out from beneath it and looked up at the girl. Her eye is what gave her away. "Sarah? Is that you?" she asked from her position on the ground.

"You was expecting the easter bunny? Yes it's me, egghead!" Cyrah said, forcibly removing Karmy from under the table. She caught the looks of suprise, and decided to live 'em up. She draped an arm around Alice. "Notice anyhting different?" She said, partly to show herself off and partly to make the normal nuisance of herself.

Zero use dhis powers to remove Nicole from the glue. "Whoah, is that.... Sarah?" He asked. He wasn't on the wagon and didn't know Sarah swiped a hologram device, as he had been out with Batman.

Cassius blinked. He proceeded to dump his gror down the drain. Seeing Sarah as human? he was too drunk to be healthy......

"Oh! Where's the easter bunny?! He owes me money!" Karmy said, swaying.

"What happened to you? Got a hair cut?" Alice teased lightly punching Cyrah in the arm to play around and make sure she was still made of metal.

"Well Karmy was the only one with the glue removal. But I'm sure Zero did just fine." Dick said taking off his mask.

"You jerks!" Karmy screamed as she fell to the ground. "At least untie my legs, for goodness sakes!" she demanded as she rolled around on the floor. "As demeaning this is, I would at LEAST like to walk around. I will break out of these and glue you all to the batship-" she continued to ramble on.

Cyra didn't realize Karmy was trussed up in her high on being human, so Zero releived her of those. "Haircut nuthin', honey." She said, returning the punch. 'Course she still had her cyber strength, but that was trivial to her right now.

"Haha, cool Cyrah. You look good!" Alice smiled making some last minute touches on cleaning up the common room.

After the cleaning was finished, Dick and Barbara lay in his old room's bed again looking up at the ceiling fan churn slowly from under the heavy blankets, like the emotions mixing in Barbara, her cluttered thoughts overwhelmed her and she needed an outlet. She clung onto Dick tightly, pressing her face against his chest, "I'm scared, Dick." Barbara whispered quietly, "I'm emphatically imploring you to tell me what's going on." Dick whispered back. "What happened with Metallo on that airfield?" He questioned her. Barbara's face lifted up to look at Dick in the eyes. She rested her cheek against his chest again. "You know Bruce's philosophy and moral standard, not to kill?" She rhetorically asked, "I think I murdered him." Dick sighed, "Yeah, I deduced as much. I've been trying to think what to make of it. But right now I want to sort out the details."

"What about this EMF weapon?" Dick inquired. "Why did you leave Titan's Tower?"
"Well.. Roxie-.."
"Thorne's assistant?"
"She called me telling me I had my chance to get Metallo.."
"Father's Murderer."
"And so you weren't here, and you weren't calling me."
"As usual: I'm sorry."
"So yeah, I didn't want to give up not taking someone three times my size down, who also murdered my father and framed my fiancé."
"Still. You shouldn't have. Anyway about Thorne."
"Right, he obviously had no use for Metallo, so he sent him to face me."
"He wants to get at you but for what reason?"
"I don't know. Never had any personal vendettas or engagements with him in the past. Must be for some different purpose."
"I just can't believe you killed Metallo. That's insane, he's powerful as hell."
"It was way over the edge. I really shouldn't have. I don't know what came over me, just this sense of... Well I can't describe it."
"I know what you're talking about. You can't feel air around you, you begin to sweat, your blood rushes so fast you can feel it coursing through you. I know that feeling."
"When was the last time that happened, Dick?"
"Last time... When Slade was crushing your head under his foot. Time before that I remember vividly: Zucco. He killed my parents, I'm sure you remember the story."
"That's when you were Eight Years old."
"Yeah. I still remember it. Just one of those things you never forget."
"What else won't you forget?"
"A lot of things Babs. That time when Bruce last waved to me. Told me he was proud of me. When I first dawned the cape... That first time I felt my heart skip."
"When was that?"
"Guess."
"Starfire?"
"No, not Starfire. She sure did teach me a lot about love though."
"What about Donna?"
"Donna Troy? Why does everyone think I had something with her? She's more of a sister.."
"A really, really hot sister?"
"Don't say that Babs.."
"Haha, I'm messing with you."
"Oh course you were."
"So who was it? Catalina?"
"God no! I really don't want to think of her Babs."
"How about Raven, I saw you two hugging when she first arrived."
"You got jealous over that? No not Raven, she's a great friend, but I can't ever see her as anything more than that."
"What about that New Batgirl? What's her name? Cassandra?"
"Ah. You're getting warmer."
"Oh god Dick! The new Batgirl?! Are you serious? The first girl that makes you go head over heels is th-"
"Not the new Batgirl." Dick said kissing Barbara's forehead.

A faint yet long silence resulted in tears, Barbara felt twice as guilty for the man she killed. "I'm sorry Dick. I really didn't mean to kill him. I thought he could take more cause he's use to fighting Superman and everything and then he just... I don't know what was happening. I wish I was more brave. I was so angry that he took the only family that I had left by framing the murder on you." Barbara wept, she lifted her face from his chest to see what her face looked like when she was crying with the wetness of his shirt. Dick wrapped his arms around her, hushed her. "Its okay, it'll be alright." He continued to assure her through soft words and equally soft kisses. It wasn't long before they began talking to each other again. When they couldn't talk any longer the couple drifted off to sleep to meet each other in their dreams.

Karmy squealed in delight when Zero freed her and bolted for the door. Throwing open a portal, she dove through to the other side. "Later guys!" she gave them the peace sign and closed the portal. From there on, she swam to the mainland and began running around the city. Not causing any destruction, mayhem or any combination of the both, just running. By morning, she was covered in sweat and panting like crazy, but still not tired. Hell, she was still wired by the time she reached the shore of the tower. Jumping into her bag real quick, she changed clothes and got cleaned up before heading back in the tower. "Well crap, that didn't work." she panted as she closed the portal and proceeded to head to the gym.
