The Darkest of Knights

"Oh hush Al, it was funny!" Karmy laughed as she jumped out of Cyrah's way, and threw her arm over Alice's shoulders. "Besides, this makes up for everything you've done. I told ya I would get y'all back so much worse." she grinned idiotically.

"When did that even happen?!" Ivy laughed, on a victory high like the rest of them. Alice's swan dive was one thing, but seeing Cyrah with the rock had her in stitches. Her friends, as zany and insane as they tended to be, were the kind she hoped she'd never lose. The kind that made her so glad they had come out, for the most part, unscathed.

"Yeah, everything I've done." Alice sighed looking away from Karmy. She was upset that Karmy would do such a thing to the both of them. Alice almost did feel like returning the camera that made a dent in her wallet.

"Relax Al, it's just a joke. Not like I posted it on the internet or sent it to a news crew or something." Karmy hopped up and walked over to her camcorder. She popped the tape out and sat back down next to Alice. "If it makes ya feel any better, I'll let ya destroy it. I was planning to after I showed y'all anyways, Caspian told me to."

"Whatever." Alice said nabbing the tape and crunching it under her feet. "I just want toenjoy myself without the heroes talking about this for the next 20 years." She remarked leaning back in the couch.

"After tonight," Karmy pulled out a carton full of different liquor bottles. "I don't think anyone will remember anything." she popped open a bottle of firewhiskey and handed it to Alice. She grabbed herself two bottles and then kicked the carton away. "Anybody except Nicole can help themselves!"

Alice sighed looking at the alcohol. "Bottoms up." She said quietly and took a large swing of the bottle. The Booze quickly funneled through the cap and into her stomach dropping hard.

(A cookie to whoever gets the firewhiskey cameo)

"C;mon Al, be happee!" Karmy slurred, pretty much half way done with her bottle of sake. "We're supposed to be celebrating a mission battle fight thingy gone right and succededed." she poked the couch with every added syllable. And we even practically saved some of 'em phoenix kids, beserkers. I woulda probably been one of 'em if I hadn't es-ca-ped." she enunciated that would just like Dory.

Alice really was relieved that the mission was done and over with, but she couldn't understand what was going to happen next. She didn't want to face Gotham, and yet she knew she had to. Wintergreen had been imprisoned for God-knows-what. "A lot is on my mind Karmy." Alice admitted not wanting to drink anymore. "Maybe I should just go to bed."

"No! You drink now, it'll make ya feel better!" Unfortunately for her own well being, Karmy had turned to drugs and drinking a year after escaping the institute. She had drilled it into her head that it was a means of escaping the cruel world. The Insomnio's had managed to get her out of the drug bit, but she still turned to the bottle whenever life seemed to kick her when she was down. It was her way of making everything seem alright. "C'mooonnnnn!" she poked Alice.

"No Karmy." Alice said getting up to walk away, she kept pushing her. "No, no. I'm just gonna head back to the Batship, I ... No Karmy." Alice said walking out. "I said no!"

"Fine, ya know what, fine!" Karmy shouted after Alice as she walked off. "I'ma just gonna go be happee for the both of us then!" she grabbed her second bottle, Jack Daniels, and staggered over to Supermans room. There, she crawled under his bed, ignoring the spy photos of some woman named Lois Lane that he had stashed under there, and cracked open the whiskey. Drinking like a baby with a bottle, Karmy cried and drank until she passed out, and for some odd reason, she could feel the weight of the broken heart heavily in her bag.

Superman just kind of blinked at the scenario that unfolded about him. He didn't know how best to deal with it, but seeing Cassius go after Karmy Cyrah go after Alice, he figured the situation was under control.

Zero just blinked for a second and turned to Ivy. "Hey, let's go somewhere a bit less, you know, awkward. I've been wanting to ask you something, by the way." He said to Ivy.

Rose plopped next to Nicole as she finished wrighting in her journal. "Hey Red. 'Sup?" She saked, for the sake of whipping up conversation.

Cassius Removed Karmy from the underside of Superman's bed."*sigh* what am I gonna do with you...." Cassius asked out loud. He removed the bottle from Karmy's person, and put her down on top of the bed. He didn't envy the hangover she would have, but best make her comfortable for now.

Cyrah, walking awkwardly on her two incomplete legs, clopped out after Alice. "Hey, hey, wait up!" She called out.

"Look Cyrah, I really don't want to have any booze right now. Not anymore at least." Alice continued to stride to the Batship, she didn't even look back.

"I don't ALLWAYS think about booze, sometimes I also think of- nevermind." Cyrah realized that this wasn't why she followed Alice out here, and quickly switched tracks. Still walking awkwardly on her incomplete legs, she still followed Alice. "Look, about back there, with you and Karmy and all that- everyone has had a big, BIG day, and Karmy is drunk as a skunk to top it all off- I don't doubt EVERYONE is going act a little off. Why not come back and give it all another chance?" She asked Alice in a friendly tone. She figured the best way to make friends with Alice was to be a friend to Alice.....

"Meh, doing ok I suppose. When we get back to Gotham I'll probably be heading home- I want to see my lil' man." She said. She had told Robin about her son earlier, so she felt comfortable talking about him to her.

Dick greyson's cellphone rang, one Harvey Dent the caller........

Alice stopped to think about what's been said. She turned around to look at Cyrah, bags were forming under her eyes. Super hero work was hard work. Still, she clopped over to Cyrah patting her on the back with her left hand. "Yeah, fine. Let's move then." She mumbled as she held on to her heart piece tightly with her right.

Dick stroked Barbara's hair softly as they lay in the bed, talking quietly. She slowly inched closer even though their hips were already connected; one could assume that they're a two headed monster in strange speculation. "Hey you think-..." Barbara was soon interrupted when the sound of Dick's cell went off. "Hold that thought." He said touching Barbara's lips with one finger as he observed the caller ID. "Its Dent." He said as she crawled up to eye level with him. "What brings this call Mr. Dent? Did you find a way to break the charges off of Wintergreen? Or is this an entirely different matter?"

"A little different then that. I've tried bonking a few heads for Wintergreen, but haven't managed to worm him out of jail as of yet." Twoface said. He was standing atop a building somewhere, decked out in his batsuit. "It the city. No Riddler...... no Joker..... no Poision Ivy...... the city's been too quiet, Greyson. I think something big is about to go down." He said, caution in his voice. He knew the villains could only be waiting for one thing- the real Batman to come back.

"Wow, I didn't think that would actually work." Cyrah said, a bit suprised that she had manged to convince Alice to come back. She hobbled back towards the apartment on still shaky legs. En route, she turned to Alice. "So, what's up?" She asked, just trying to strike up small talk.

"Oh,uh, sure. I'm not much of a drinker anyway." Ivy agreed, watching the room slowly filter out people as they went separate ways. What difference would two people gone make? Besides, she was wondering what he could possibly have to ask her.

"Bottom's up." Astro muttered, downing a glass of firewhiskey. He doubted anybody would care.

(Fire whiskey = Harry Potter. I get cookie? x] )

Dick wiped the sweat off his forehead. "Possibly. Maybe they are. Heard they broke out of Arkham last night or something." He said leaning back. "I'll be ready for it when it comes. Don't worry about it, you're doing a great job keeping Gotham sane while I'm away."

Alice trotted by Cyrah half drunk. "I don't know. Just really tired, I feel like we're in the calm of the strom." She mumbled. "Something bad is about to happ'n."

Zero quickly put an arm around Ivy, and a familiar rose colored light engulfed the two. When the light cleared, they were back at the shores of Titan's tower, at the stump of Ivy's tree. "Hey, Dollface, you remember, two years ago? Karmy kept trying to ask me something- wether or not I wanted to be brought back. Then, I would have said no." He said, kneeling over to the stump. "Havign you, and everyone I once considered family as my enemies? Nothing was worth that. But...." Zero stood back up, a peice of the stump that had fallen off in his hand.

"These past two years, you, me, Lu, everyone else.... it made those four hellish years all worth it." Zero said. He reached into one of the many pockets of his jacket. "But you most of all. All of my happiest memories are from being with you, fighting crime, whuppin' ass and taking names..... and even just hanging out." Zero procured form his jacket pocket something familiar.

It was the dried black rose he had left on Ivy's pillow years ago. Ivy had never gotten rid of it, and Zero had managed to get his hands on it for just this occasion. "Of all the people I've ever met, you're the one I care about, the one I love, most of all. You stuck with a looser with as many shortcomings as me all this time, when you could have had your pick of practically anyone on the planet." The rose and peice of wood glowed red- the wood began to compress and shimmer, and the rose began to curl like a hoop. When all was said and done, the rose had curled into a black, metalic hoop, and zero's powers had formed the wood peice into a small green gem, with was affixed to the black ring. Zero dropped to one knee and held the ring out to Ivy. "I guess, what I'm trying to say... trying to ask.....

Tiffany Manti, Ivy, Dollface..... Would you marry me?"

What the...Where are we going? Were Ivy's last thoughts before teleporting away, and Zero began his touching speech. The beautiful onyx ring with the jade gem...

She froze completely, her racing heart the only part still seemingly alive. Ivy should have seen this coming, whenever she imagined her future, it had Zero in it. Whenever she had imagined this scene, she had a confident witty comeback at her disposal, ready to accept. Now that it was actually happening, anything at the very least comprehensible flew out the window.

Do something! An anxious voice inside her pressed. She managed a nod. A slow tiny nod. "Yes." The young woman choked out, collapsing to her knees and enveloping Zero in a hug. "Mathew Roper. Did you ever doubt that for a second?" she whispered, kissing him. Mathew Roper. Mr and Mrs.Roper... she thought dreamily.

(In my opinion, out of everything in the RPs, that was the most eventful and sweetest thing yet.)

Zoer felt estatic- no, that wasn't the right word. There WEREN'T words for this right now, not for this level of happiness, the joy, the love they were feeling..... there just wren't any words at all. "Call me cautious." he whispered back, returning her kiss and embrace in kind. He chided himself for not saying more- she had just agreed to marry him, he thought he ought to say SOMETHING.

But somehow, the kiss, the touch- their actions were saying more then any words he could possibly conjure up right now could ever hope to say, albeit three words could come pretty close- "I Love you."

The Riddler sat at a computer local computer, no, not the Riddler, Edward Nygma with a fake beard and a bright red jacket, completely out of costume and in disguise sat at a computer in a coffee shop by the corner with his back to the wall. He was instant messaging Jonathan. That's right, Dr. Crane.

Fishing4Fear: Watch it man, it cost me a lot to to a computer. Some ass hole took a computer before I could.
