The Darkest of Knights

"Not cool Al, not cool!" Karmy shouted when suddenly she caught sight of Beast Man and Cyborg. "Hey look, there they are. C'mon!" she pointed out and started to run towards them.

Superman nodded and took off down the corridors. Leavign Slade and Batman. "It's been a long time since we've done this, ROBIN." Slade siad, still refering to Batman by his original alias. "I can hardly wait." he sneered, drawing the blasterstaff and entering a stance. a few tense moments passed. Then, like a bat out of hell, Slade launched himself furiously at Batman....

"Yeah! I see them, the entire battlefield sees them!" Alice said jumping on one ninja's shoulders and kicking the back of his head to project herself forward. "Cyborg! Beast Boy!! Care to tag team?!" Alice asked running to the duo.

Parrying his attack, and struck Slade's back. "I don't know if you noticed but I'm no longer Robin." Batman sneered. He noticed something. When he struck Slade, he felt flesh, not a cold metallic exterior. Some how, he got his old body back, and that only made Batman more on his toes. He spun his cape in an offensive attack to stun Slade. His cape was large, large enough to hide Batman's next attack..

Slade backflipped away, missing Batman's strike by an inch. He still wasn't used to having a flesh and blood body again quite yet. "Perhaps, Robin, perhaps. Then agaqin, same crap." He drew his sword. "Different label." He spun his sword at batman's legs, to trip him up and kepe him from getting propper footing....

Cassius knew the soldiers were thinning, their numbers dwindling by the second. He thought they had the upper hand now.

Untill he was suddenly thrown airborne. He looked to the scource of his assaliant to see a figure in twisted armor. he noticed others in the fight- phoenix's berserkers.

Phoenix berserker- an metahuman brainwashed and enslaved by Phoenix. They're usually derranged and suicidal, and use various and assorted metahuman skills

"On the contrary." He said jumping to avoid the sword and landing on it, he kicked Slade's face as he backflipped off and land with a batarang in his hand. "I am Batman." He said tossing this specially designed explosive batarang at Slade and letting loose a flash bang. If he was a human again, his eyes were working more use to the dark than they were to the light, maybe feeling was a whole new thing to Slade. He would have to try out his crowd control device on him soon.

Beast Man finished throwing a few guards across the battle field and transformed back into his original form. "Sure!" he said, standing next to Cyborg. "So whats the plan?" he asked.

Slade reeled for a second- these sensations were something he wasn't used to for six years, only what little bit of feeling he had as the spider, and even that was no substitute for being human. The kick and flashbang did their jobs of suprising him, but he was still Slade. The thought of batman still thinking a parlor trick like a flashbang could incapacitate him so easily was folly beyond words. If Batman wanted to play with tinkertoys, Slade would happily oblige. Slade took out a hand full of H- shaped shuriken and flung them for Batman. At first it seeme dlike he missed by a mile, but closer inspection would reveal incredibly fine cables. With a jerk of his hand, the shuriken tangled together, effectiveley making a net. He yanked the net around Batman, in order to entrap him. "Parlor tricks, parlor tricks." Slade taunted.

Ivy noticed the amount of people she was fighting was slowly diminishing, but just like that, the odds were against them once more. People with strange powers, skills, with deranged looks on their faces loomed over her. A strangled choke of a scream managed to escape her, but nothing more than that would she allow herself.

She managed to electrocute one, but it rebounded the ability back at her, coming close enough for her to see it's dull eyes. She quickly swept that one backwards with a dirt fist. These new adversaries were proving much more difficult.

Cyborg crossed his arms making a sound that suggested that he didn't know. "Kick butt I guess!" Cyborg smiled.

"I wouldn't feel so confident if I were you Slade." Batman said using is right hand to tug on the cables himself, and with his other hand he took out his taser and zapped the cables. His suit absorbed most of the shock but it was enough to make Slade drop the cables immediately, he then stepped out of the cabled net. "I was trained by the Best!"

20 Years ago, Dick Grayson as Robin landed by Batman's side on their patrol. Bruce put away his binoculars and looked at the young fourteen year old, he smirked to himself as Robin looked about. Getting tired of standing around Robin slumped to his back lazily. "Hey, Batman, what're we gonna do once we finally get rid of all the criminals and everything? Move to another city?" Robin asked. "I don't think that's something you have to worry about, Robin." Batman replied taking in a deep breath. Taking in the night. Feeling a bit tired, yet bubbly Robin just had to ask, "Okay,so, then we'll just stay in Gotham and keep doing this, right? Forever and ever?" Batman kept a stone cold face as a contrast to Robin's child-like question. "We'll do this as long as it's effective. And feasible." He answered nonetheless. "Right." Robin said. "Like I said. Forever..."

"I have no doubt of that." Slade said, brushing himself off. He too had been trained by the best, albeit the best and batman were two different grades of best. Even Slade had to admit that this Batman was a good succesor to Pride. But deep down, there was still the Robin that Slade had tormented all those years ago. "So tell me, did the best also teach that redhead how to shove a bomb down a man's throat in vengance? Or was that all you?" He taunted. He figured if anything could get to Batman, it would be to assail his lover, not him.
[Oh, I kind of scared m'self with that one o_o;]

"Shut it and fight me without your mouth." Batman threatened producing his battlestaff. "I've waited far too long to turn you into the police so the judge could deal Justice to you, but this time... This time I'm deeply tempted to do it myself." He said stabbing his staff on the ground half way to Slade and used it to project himself to kick Slade, of course the move used too much energy and he could block it easily, but he just needed to get close. Batman engaged in battle as he did years ago.

"I never had a partner." Red X said, "My suit's drained! Need some help!"

"Y'all go ahead!" Karmy said as she started to run off. "I gotta find Cass n Cyssy!" she was worried about them since they new Phoenix better. Fighting off the guards, she ran throughout the fray, calling for them until she finally found Cyrah. "Cyssy!" she cried out and ran for her.

Cyrah, frankly, looked like crap.her leg was totalled, and all the foreign objects sricking out of her person wasn't a grand help. Nonetheless, she was hanging onto a ninja and pating him with ehr severed leg. "Come get some, b*tch! yeah, you like that, don'tcha!?" She hollered, continuing to beat the ninja utill she lost conciousness. "Any help would be, like, phenomenal!" Cyrah called to Karmy, Rose being attacked by a firebreathing berserker.

"No thanks, i can't survive YOUR justice." Slade said snugly. "Then again, your justice is what made me your foe in the first place." Slade hissed, sidestepping Batman's kick.

"Aww damn Cyssy!" Karmy ran up to her and began to root around in her bag. "I have your tools and spares in here somewhere." she muttered as she dug around. After a moment, she whipped out everything Cyrah needed and handed it to her. "Now I gotta go find everyone else!" she said and ran off again.

After Crimson had finished mopping up the several ninjas and robots that surrounded him, he ran further in to join the others in their fray. After Crimson punched his way through a crowd of gaurds he spotted Robin and Red X. Crimson figured that sence he wasn't assigned to a team that he might as well stick with Robin and X. "Mind if i tag along?" Crimson said as he blasted a crater in a nearby robot.

"Can't you just shut up?" Batman demanded delivering a quick succession of deleterious strikes, he only needed one hit in order to execute a comb. One. He tapped Slade's ear, that led to a punch in the chest, a roundhouse to his ribcage, back hand, twist, he took his taser and zapped Slade. While he was still in shock he kicked his stomach in. "Shoot your mouth off now Deathstroke."

Red X kicked a Phoenix Agent in the nuts then the head. "I can't use any weapons. All my toys are drained." He explained. "Maybe if we can find a Nuclear Power source I can absorb some."

"Yeah duh!" Red X said, "I can't do anything. Its like going to a boxing match without gloves!" Red X punched a guard in the face and was hit in the back of the head with a club, knocking him out.

"What? Who was that?" A voice called out to Robin. "Someone call me out here?"
"That's Robin! C'mon!"

Out from a swarm or robots Red Robin and Batgirl made their way to Red X and Robin. "Hey, we should really find everyone else in this mess." Batgirl said. "What happened to him?" Red Robin asked.

"He got knocked out!" Crimson said as he cut a robot clean down the mifddle with an energy blade. " Damnit! if I could i'd throw this blasted death machiene clear into the sun!" Crimson then turned around and send a roundhouse kick clear into a gaurd's face.

As Karmy ran, taking down every guard she came across, she caught sight of Batman. A little hesitant, she ran over to him. "Hey, Bats, have you seen-" she saw Slade. "Holy-!"

Despite Karmy yelling and no matter how much he wanted to turn to Karmy, he kept his eyes on Slade. He knew the very second he took his eyes off of Slade, he would attack. He would most likely jump over him, grab his head I midair and voilently crack it. He also knew if he spoke back to Karmy he would waste too much energy he could be using to battle Slade. He needed to be on his toes. Batman only held his hand behind him where he knew Karmy was standing as a signal to back off. He didn't want to endanger her too. He was willing to put his life on the line, but it has to be his life when dealing with someone as dangerous as Slade. No one else's.

Slade reeled from the force of Batman's attack. And to add insult to utter effing injury, the hippie, of all people the hippie, round the corner. Well, THIS is a contact sport- if Batman wanted to play hardball, Slade could play. Slade took a smoke bomb out of his pocket, and bashed it on the ground, releasing a thick fog. But Slade wasn't done yet- he removed a flash-bang and threw it intot he smoke. Slade quickly covered his ears and closed his eye as the deafening explosion and harsh light tore into the smoke, the smoke particles reflecting the burst of light and making it harder to see even after the explosion. Now robbed of their senses, Slade used his superhuman senses to hunt for any sign of a fumble or movement, so he could cut Batman to ribbons.....
