The Darkest of Knights

"You f*ckhead, you stole that blade from my bag!" Karmy shouted before a guard tackled her. Out of pure rage, she head butted him and tried to go after Slade, but the onslaught was too thick right now.

Slade blocked the kick with the greates of ease- with well over half a century of more experience, it was to be expected. He used the sword as a vault and launche dhimself at Nicole, foot outstretched to kick.

Slade could have easily pressed the fight- he knew just what to expect of a Robin Nicole's age, having seen Greyson use Identical moves before. But that's wasn't the plan. after protecting himself fron Nicole's attack, he wheeled around to his next target, Luna, and swung his blade at her next, also leaving Nicole to the onslaught like Karmy and Cyrah before ehr.

Karmy was seething with rage now, seeing Slade go after her friends was fueling it with each passing second. But, she couldn't go after him just yet, the mob was too great. Stuffing the blade in her bag, she would use it later when she found Slade again, she decided to go hand to hand for a bit. Right then, she realized she had lost sight of Alice when Slade had attacked. "Alice!!" she cried out for her as she fought on. "Where are you?!" she portaled above her current attacker and tackled them.

Slade took perverse delight in noticing Karmy had become seperated from Alice and was calling for her pitifully. It wa shis plan- his little distractions in the mids of this horde would brak up the group, thus making the disorganize dmob easy pickings.

He found little trouble in evading the shadow claw- if there was one thing he knew an unhealthy amount about, it was shadow claws. He took out his riffle, and fired at Luna. Not at anything vital- just arms and legs, anything to slow her down or otherwise impede her.

Cyrah couldn't fight back if she couldn't move her leg, and was getting overtaken, resorting to leaning against the wall and using her hands as Rose tried to keep the horde at bay. "This is Crap, total effing crap!" She snarled, decking a Phoenix soldier.

"Batman! I've lost Karmy!" Alice came in Batman's communicator through his cowl as he worked his way deep into the facility with Superman.
"What?! Didn't I tell you to stick with you partners?!" Batman asked enraged and yet still plowing through the horde.
"I know! But I was pounding this one guy and she was gone!" Alice's voice continued to worry. "I don't know why she won't just portal out of my shoe either.. Maybe she's in trouble."
"Not the time Alice!" Batman said busy with punching a ninja's face in.
"Batman, I've lost track of Robin!" Batgirl's voice came through as well.
"What?! How hard is it to keep track of your partner?" He asked making sure he wasn't being hypocritical and sticking close to Superman.
"I don't know, I was at one guy and then she just disappeared!"
"Crap! Well find her! Do something, I'm busy at the moment!"
"Uhh, Dick, I was about to say I lost Raven, buuuut never mind." Red Robin's voice sounded.

"Help!!" Red X drained whatever was left in his suit and was caught off guard when a ninja assailed him. He was soon overcome just like Cyrah.

"Aw man, this is totally unfair! I do not want to get killed by some dumb robo-ass tart!" Cyborg complained firing his sonic cannon away. "Beast Boy turn into something useful already! Gimmie a T-Rex or one of those weird Tamarainian monsters!" Cyborg cried as he kicked a Phoenix agent away.

"Dammit!" Red Robin yelled jumping on a ninja's shoulders and pounding on his cranium. The ninja tried to shake him off another tried to swing at Red Robin, so he immediately backflipped off, resulting in friendly fire. "Haha! Haven't done that in a while, hey Cyborg did you see that? I totally-OUMF!" He was rudely interrupted when another Ninja kicked his chest. Rude..

"Karym! Where the hell did you go?!" 52.. 53.. 54... "Karmy! I'm not asking you to come out here right this instant!" 68.. 69.. "You wanna play hide and seek? Or are you just ignoring me!?" 74... "Karmy!! Where are you?!" Alice screamed desperately trying to find her best friend. She only kept count because it gave her hope it meant Karmy was still alive... 95.. 98... 99... 100.

"I can do that!" Beast Man transformed into a T-Rex and began to sweep his massive tail, smashing it into the mob and keeping them at bay. He only bit down on the robots, but not the guards or ninjas.

Karmy was deaf, in a sense, to anything around her, all she was focused on was finding Alice and then, going after Slade. Finding her best friend was more important to her than killing the man who had caused her so much agony. An idea popped into her head and she pulled out the remote that she stole from Control Freak. Pointing it to some of the less demolished robots, she pressed the on button and commanded them to attack the guards and ninjas. As they sprang to life, she stuffed the remote in her pocket and continued on. "Alice!!" she screamed as she nailed a ninja with a nasty haymaker, ah memories. "Alice where are yo-" she had turned around to sock the person behind in her in the face, but stopped an inch from their nose.

"That's what I'm talking about baby!" Cyborg whooped as he climbed ontop of Beast Boy. That was just down right friggin' scary. Picture a cyborg shooting lazer beams from his arm screaming wildly and riding a gigantic green t-rex.

Alice was a bit shocked but glad she was nailed in the face by her best friend. "Holy cow.. Uhh.. Nice use of the Remote." Alice said pointing at the robots. She took a sigh of relief knowing she was alive and spirited.

"Danke." Karmy said before backhanding a guard who was trying to get the jump on her. "98. Sorry about earlier, Slade's here and I saw him go after Cyssy and he disappeared before I could get my hands on him." she muttered as she pointed the robots to attack another group of enemies. "Their take downs totally count as mine. Havent seen anyone else, have you? Well, besides Beast Man." she nodded towards the giant reptilian rampaging. "Everyone can see him."

"Believe me if I saw anyone they would have been my new partner." Alice said kicking behind her as hard as she could into the poor crotch of another ninja. "And only 98? Heh, this was the only game you couldn't beat me in. I'm in 168." Alice boasted. No doubt that stopping to chase Slade significantly slowed her down, but Alice would make quick work of incapitating anyone in her effective range quickly.

Karmy stopped in the middle of pounding a guy in the face and looked at Alice. "Aw sh*t! You gotta be kidding me!" she punched the guard out of rage. "Gotta catch up!" she reached into her bag and pulled out a bow staff. "Cant let ya win this one." she told her before attacking the guard.

"This is insane!" Ivy yelped, forcing an earth wall up between her and a large group of ninjas, robots and guards. It fell forward, flattening all of them. This had proven an effective defense move, and she found herself doing it more often as the number of enemies increased. She was hoping it wouldn't get any worse.

Of course, she had spotted Slade yet.

Astro rushed to aid Luna and John. He hadn't managed to find a partner for one reason or another, and with Luna injured, teaming up with John seemed sensible. He began sucking life force from the ninjas, releasing it in chi blasts on the robots.

Cassius didn't need no stinkin' partner- quite frankly, he was having enough fun on his own. Almost as much fun as tearing Ernie's bar down. The insanity made it hard for him to see hast his own fists, but he caught sight of Robin by herself, and didn't hesitate to crucify a poor, hapless drone sneaking up on her. "Stay sharp, kid!" He called as he continued to lay a beating down on any sucker that got too close.

Slade almost seemed amused as he deflected John's shots with his staff, cruel enjoyment at what he had done showing in his eye. But he had done what he needed, and this time, he sprung for Batgirl. If he could handle anyone, he knew he could handle at least her.

"Batgirl watch out!" Red Robin screamed and pushed her out of the way taking in Slade's attack. "Red!!" She screaned as shesaw her partner get mauled by Slade. She tore out her grapplehook and shot it at Slade's neck intending to yank him away from Tim.

Between Batman and Superman, two living legends didn't have much dificulty plowing through the gathered footsoldiers. Superman was a one man wreckingball, hammering away at anything dumb enough to get in his path. "We've got to find Ra's- otherwise, we'll be here for weeks." Superman said, noticing everyone else was either getting injured or tiring out.

Slade seemed unamused by the grapple- he stuck his blade up, so it wrapped the sword instead. Relying on strength, Slade yanked the cable taught. He decided to ahve some fun while he was at it. "I saw the body of Metallo. Is that your handiwork?" He taunted. He knew damn well it was Batgirl- nobody else would have held a grudge on him enough to anihalate him like that. But Slade enjoyed Salting the wound.

"Yeah I know! Most likely Ra's is extracting the data as we speak. We don't have enough time!" Batman said swinging his staff at a Phoenix Agent.

"Shut up.. You don't know anything Deathstroke!" Batgirl hissed at him pulling out a batarang for future use. Red Robin sprang up from behind and bearhugged Slade.

"Oh c'mon this is the only game I've ever had the chance to beat you." Alice smirked. "223!" She smiled broadly.

"S... So?!" Karmy argued as she sent one guy flying into 2 others. "189!" she shouted and continued on. After she reached 200 hundred, she called out to Alice while she was kicking a ninja in the nards, "Hey, maybe we should go make sure everyone's alright!" she suggested.

Zero had his hands full, but managed to beat a path to Luna. Crap, at her levels of bloodloss, he couldn't pull the bullets for fear she'd bleed out, and he didn't have any medical equipment on him right now to keep her stable in the time between pulling and healing. He'd have to do something basic as a quickfix right now untill they could get her out of here. "Sorry Lu." he said apologetically, and began to close the injuried aroudn the bullets. All he could do was stop the bleeding untill they could get her out of here.

Superman knew Batman was right- if Ra's made off with the information he needed, it would only be a matter of time before they had a complete repeat of all of this. Him and Batman needed a way out of this.......

Slade pried Red Robin off him. Jumping on someone's back? A desperate manuver, especially when that person was Slade. And by pry I mean he hammered backward and squashed him between himself and a wall. "Please, I know all about vangance. The rush, the hate you feel as you take a life of someone you WANT to kill.... it's something you don't loose. You claim to be so heroic, but I saw that body. I look at you now, and I see myself." Slade sneered, his shadow falling over Batgirl. "You murdered- MURDERED- for vengance, girlie. I'd stay and chat, but I think your thoughts ought to be fair company right now." Slade hissed, vanishing into the fray.

"Best if we start with the basics! Make our way to Beast Boy and Cyborg!" Alice screamed over the battle ambiance. She skidded to her feet and began shooting at all the legs she could spray at, incapacitating any foes that would come in her way. "Don't kill anyone!" Alice reminded.

"We're getting close! I've picked up a trail on Ra's. Back in his layer I scanned his fingerprints and set detective vision on my cowl to pick up traces of his DNA. It also scans traces of his alcohol in the air. I'm picking up his breath." Batman announced as they pursued their way to their goal.

Batgirl was at her knees and crawled over to Red Robin who was coughing and shaking his head. "Tim... are you okay?" She asked weakly coming to his aid. "Broke my arm in two places. You gotta get up and fight." Red Robin said standing up to help Batgirl up. "You have to help." He said. "But you're hurt.." Batgirl said in shock. "Listen, f*ck everything right now, we have to get to work!" Red Robin said, "Work through pain, right?" he reminded her. "Emotional pain too." Batgirl agreed getting up.

"Hey! I know how to not kill people too, sheesh!" Karmy said as she took out a bucket of fast-drying-glue and spilled it at the feet of many guards. Once they were stuck she simple pushed them, creating a domino affect. "210!"

"Only?" Alice giggled, she didn't want to expose her number to Karmy yet. She wanted to surprise her at the end.

Using his own X-ray vision, Supermna too had picked up the trail. It was moments like this Superman was glad he had an ally like Batman he could call on. But his thoughts were cut short by a sudden loss of power. A familiar green glow washed over the area. Only could be Kryptonite. Which was exactly what Slade was holding in his clutch. "Where do YOU boys think you're going?" Slade sneered, firing his gun at Batman. But instead of earlier, where it was meant to disable, Slade was legitimateley shooting at vital points on Batman. Superman could wait- it was Batman he wanted right now.

"GAAH!!" Karmy screamed out in frustration and snapped her fingers. A torrent of chilling, Arctic water rushed from the portal, knocking down a good amount of enemies, sending them to the ground in shakes and shivers, unable to get warm. "269!" she grinned as she counted the fallen.

Batman flushed his came over him and effectivly blocked the bullet. "Go after Ra's Superman! I've got this." Batman said stepping into fighting stance.

"I'll give you a hint, you're no where near catching up!" Alice laughed continuing her furry of attacks.
