The demon was hesitant for only a moment before she rushed into the fray at Sparky’s summons. “Evacuating the scientists is a simple enough task.” It was easy to say that, but her hellish visage did not lend a feeling of confidence to the scientists she was set to rescue.

Tiz moved to pull a shivering woman off her feet, trying to be as gentle as possible, which was impossible so the demon merely jerked the woman to her feet. When she got a gasp and frightened eyes, Tizmael gripped the scientists arm tighter and began pulled her off into the direction of safety. “Don’t scream, don’t fight. You’re a scientist, you shouldn’t believe in demons anyway”

Tizmael was choosing to ignore this new hero, though he was quite flashy and the monster he fought seemed to be at a disadvantage; all this meant was that Tiz had more distractions to keep herself out of harms way and still help with the mission. “Come Sparky, gather more of these civilians. We need as big a group as we can muster” With that said, the imp shoved the woman off towards the hallway that herself and Sparky came from and began looking back into the chaos for more people to rescue.

Static beamed at the young hero calling his name as if she was a fan. "Alright, you wanna get this party started?" He asked, focusing on the monster, hands ablazing as bolts of electricity danced around his finger tips.

Plasmus wasn't amused by Static's entrance, and honestly, neither was Jotis. Standing upright, Plasmus looked about when Looper mentioned "knocking him in." He noticed her odd clapping pattern and it just didn't make sense to him until he saw a hole in the ground with the top of his head pearing out the top, looking up Plasmus saw a the portal above him. If the portal Looper made was ten feet away, and the portal lead directly above him, it meant the portals weren't perfectly aligned, and that made him smile.

"Hey, watch out!" Static yelled as Plasmus jumped into the portal coming out the top. He tried to shoot a bolt of lighting after the gooey blob but he was smarter about not getting hit. Plasmus pretty much turned into a toxic cannonball as he smashed against the ground creating splash damage for everyone in the room.

Covering himself with his wings as best he could, Jotis braced himself as the pile of sludge smacked against his make shift sheild, the goopy substance stuck to his wings, he tried shaking it off but the stubborn slop refused. He was grounded. Static flew high above, but a gop of waste gummed his static saucer. Losing mobility he jumped off to a nearby scaffold "Whoaa!" He yelled grabbing on. He hoisted himself above, it wasn't until he could check himself that his jacket was also heavy and he had to ditch it. "Ugh. He slimed me..." He murmured as he folded his jacket and placed it on the rails, knowing he had to come back for it. Slimed me. Hah. Good one.

Plasmus is now converging to form himself back. The entire time was hit by Plasmus's sludge.

That as mistake.

A huge mistake.

Looper was finding it harder and harder to resist the urge to vomit as she wiped the sludge off her face. "Bleh..." She slopped it off and it fell to the floor. Jotis was probably going to kill her. Quickly clapping her hands together with a rather wet sounding noise, she closed both of the portals. That had been a trick she had used on many enemies before, usually resulting in broken bones, but no deaths yet. She was definitely playing with the big boys now.

Looking up to see Static on the scaffolds, she waved at him to get his attention. "Hey! Do you need help getting down?" she offered, trying to make up for the mess she had caused

"Oh god not again...." Zero murmured as Plasmus's tidal wave of sludge swamped him. By using the desk as a sheild he was able to absorb some of the shock, but against the sheer volume of slime that composed Plasmus, it wasn't much help. Still reeling from the LAST blast of slime he'd been on the receiving end of, Zero found that he was actually starting to get USED to the filth and stink clinging to his body, and for that matter the whole damn room.

Wait.

Plasmus WAS all over the damn room. Which meant he could attack them again for the moment, right? Suddenly getting an idea, Zero's hands glowed a feirce blue and he tried his level best to telekinetically wrestle the largest bits of Plasmus away from each other to try to stop him from re- forming. "Say, don't you guys just HATE it when your puzzle is missing some peices?" He asked out loud, indirectly explaining his idea as he did everything he could to try to keep the repuslive behemoth from re- combining...
---
Whereas everyone else was essentially repulsed to get hit by Plasmus's substance, Sparky mildly wondered to himself what it would be like if he studied it under a microscope. What was responsible for that purple coloration? And how did a solid human being turn into a liquid form with no discernable insides and back?

No no, had to focus. And sure, Sparky was more then mildly inconvenienced by being hit by the slime- wave. He'd probably have to spend all night scrupping the slop out of the ports and small motors in his suit. But for now it still worked, and she needed to get back to helping these people out- Jotis and everyone else had enough problems, he didn't need to add him slacking off to their list of concerns. He continued to work with Tizmael's lead, and peeled another researcher out of the sludge now coating the room, and sent her in the direction that Tizmael had sent the others. "You ok over there....?" He asked Tizmael, wondering how the attack had phased her, if it had at all....

Tiz had been so preoccupied trying to get the hysterical woman out of the range of the fight that she had not noticed Plasmus portaling, nor had she noticed the initial spray of goo until it was covering her back and nearly pitching her forward. The demon went rigid, staring wide eyed out ahead of her, watching as the woman and a few others ran to safety. Good.

Tizmael stuck her tail out and shook off like a dog, sending a spray of Plasmus all over. “Hmm” She licked the corner of her mouth, swiping up some of the noxious ooze and swallowing it. “Ack. Too salty” The demon growled and spun around, noticing the woman Sparky sent her way and ushering her along before nodding to the tech. “I am well friend! You seem to have fared better than the others, keep leading them out.”

With that said, the little imp spun to face the mess behind her and stomped into the muck. “That is enough of this putrid mess! Honestly heroes, is this your best?!” Tizmael began snorting and huffing, her teeth clenched she moved towards a trapped man who was currently choking on sludge.

All the scientists and other bystanders are clear of the arena.

"Nah, I'm good." Static shouted back at Looper, while he peeled the metallic floors from the scaffold, of course using his electrokenisis to aid him. Floating down, he wanted to introduce himself to what seemed to be the leader. "Hey, so you guys are The New Titans?" He asked while they still had a second.

First thing that came to mind: what the hell was Looper thinking? Second thing that came to mind: what the hell is that little red minx doing here?! Jotis seemed to ignore Static as he approached him, as he seethed with anger.

"Uh, okay. No need to be polite." Static said sarcastically as Jotis stormed towards Tiz. This only made him feel awkward as if he interrupted a team dynamic, rather than helping with taking down a bad guy.

"Just what the hell do you think you're doing here?!" Jotis screamed at Tiz, jabbing a finger at her shoulder effectively pushing her slightly.

Plasmus' pieces stopped moving.

Tiz had been sidetracked by Jotis’ approach, stopping her stomping towards the mess of sludge, he did NOT look happy. When he poked her, her temper flared; smoke billowed out of her nostrils as she huffed; she pushed his chest with her palm to get him to back up. “Listen here you raging brat, I said I would help you and THAT IS THAT”

The little demon’s tail lashed like a whip, smacking the ground with a loud crack; her sharp teeth bared as she ruffled and puffed up to appear bigger than she was. A small part of her logical brain informed her that it was not her place to rhyme, but she’d taken to doing it to piss off fellow infernals during fights, it was a habit now.

Ears flattening, Tizmael pushed Jotis’ chest again to solidify her disdain for him. “I saved some people! It did the opposite of harm! Your oafish dickishness is certainly cause fo---GOD ABOVE YOU’RE A PRICK”

Sometimes passions ran so hot that rhymes were hard to come up with.

The rage for Looper that was being bottled up until this point was bubbling and boiling as Jotis grimaced at Tiz's push.

"I'm not going to compromise the tower or the team. I don't care if you help people or not, you can do your own thing with someone else!" Jotis affirmed as he himself shoved Tizmael as hard as he could to the point she slammed against the adjacent wall.

"Uhhh… guys?" Static asked as Plasmus refused to let up on Zero's psychokinesis, unbeknownst to the two squabbling heroes.

"This is not a question of your motives, Tiz. You broke into the tower! I'm not going to stand for that!"

“Are you kidding me? An hour ago all you were questioning was my motives! Now that’s conveniently changed because I disobeyed you?! THAT’S NOT BEING A LEADER!” The pain in her back from being pushed into the wall made a thrill of excitement rocket up her spine, she ignored that notion and came back at him. “That’s being a child, tantruming because wah wah she didn’t listen!”

Tiz slapped him on the cheek, not hard but enough to get across her meaning. He could go straight to hell and spend years in agony and she’d sleep better for it. “I will not stop trying to help! Your petty disdain for me stems from something so inane that you would reject help because I broke in to come to you with GOOD INTENTIONS! You’re a child Jotis” The little demon hissed, though her snarling mouth was forever upturned into a evil smirk.

The red hot handprint rested on Jotis' cheek, it was like he just took this from this tiny burgundy skinned girl. And the worst part was, he knew she was right. His first clenched on this sword, and only angry took over his mind.

"Regardless, you still broke in the tower, and you're still not welcome here!" He said looking down at her, as if repeating his last statement would help his point.

"Uh, guys?!" Static frantically asked the two who were still bickering. Plasmus was nearly all formed. "Man, forget them…" he muttered to himself as he sent a bolt of lighting to the forming gob of toxic goo. Plasmus screamed in agony as he wasn't fully formed.

"Hey! Can someone please do something?!" Static asked over the electricity and Plamus' reaction to him. "I can only hold him down for so long!"

Tiz hissed up at Jotis, Static’s pleas were not completely missed and the demon raised her fist as if she meant to strike the Thanagarian again. “rrrrrRrrRRRAAARRGGHHHH” The lithe creature stormed around Jotis, brushing him off as she trotted into a sprint towards Plasmus and Static. “ENOUGH YOU PUTRID MASS!”

Veins pulsed and throbbed across the small females body, a dark aura spiked and stabbed into the air from Tizmael as she bolted passed Static a few feet. She didn’t wait for Static to stop to stop his own attack, she began to inhale deeply; a white hot light forming deep in the back of her throat.

Once she inhaled to the point of her lungs hurting, Tizmael aimed her mouth towards the re-forming beast and let loose a torrent of molten hellfire; it roiled and scratched the air in hateful bursts of licking flames. It gushed and poured over Plasmus’ poorly formed face, the flames so intense that it set her teeth to glowing red hot.

From the electro charge to the burning flames that spewed forth, Plasmus began to melt, he dropped to all fours and eventually to a fetal position. When the spitfire subsided, the flames revealed a bald man sleeping away in wonderland. The teens gathered around the sleeping villain, it was a strange feeling.

"Yo." Static said to Tizmael, raising a fist expecting her to bump it "Thanks for the save. That was a close one."

This didn't set easy with Jotis as he stood back and returned his sword to his sheath. There was no arguing that she took care of the monster without his help.

Zero nearly dropped to the floor as Plasmus was defeated, having thoroughly used a lot of energy when he tried to slow Plasmus's re- formatting down. Now using his powers to remove the wretched mess from his clothes as he plucked up his goggles and jacket, he couldn't help but feel a little shaken. 'If it wasn't for Tizmael, we would've blew it on our first damn job. We were nearly trashed on day one, MAN is that not a sign...' he thought to himself as he flopped the soiled garments over his left arm.

He walked up to the rest of the team as they crowded around the man formerly known as Plasmus. It was strange that this mild looking dude had just gave him a two course meal of slime monster. "I REALLY hope he's in a deep, DEEP sleep. What do we do now?" He inquired, looking at Jotis out of the corner of his eye. Jotis looked like he was NOT a happy camper, but Zero didn't want to spend more time in this mess then they needed to, and was eager to get the things moving....
---
Sparky was rather suprised when Tizmael firebombed Plasmus, but not too shocked- it fit the demon theme she had going quite snug. He knew nobody- especially Jotis- wanted to admit it, but she had just saved their asses. However, he also knew that Jotis wan't going to be any happier if he knew that Sparky was the one that she went to after their leader had already pretty bluntly told her she wasn't welcome.

He decided to give Jotis a wide berth as he joined the rest of the team over by Plasmus.....

To say Looper was relieved that the battle was over would be a major understatement, she didn't think that she would've fucked up this badly. But by the looks of it, Jotis wasn't going to be wringing her ass out after the they got back after all. Though, she felt bad for Tiz, after the way she took down Plasmus like he was nothing but a bug on the wall, she didn't have a doubt in her mind now that she was there to help them. Approaching the group, she walked up to Tizmael. "That was so freaking badass, Tiz!!" she held up her hand for a high five. "I can't wait to see what else you can do!"

Post by Tizmael 4/27/2014, 6:46 pm

Tizmael gave a heave wheeze, panting as the heat burned her tongue and made her teeth tingle. She shook off her head and stared in disgust at the little man laying in the gooey puddle; it would be so easy to stomp on his neck and end him. But the demon instead opted to look over to Static, still wheezing she offered a small smile and connected fists with him. She liked the gesture very much.

She looked over to the rest of the group and waved off the praise. “It is done, we call the authorities now and get him out of here before he wakes up” The demon grinned at Karma and cocked her head a bit. “I’m pleased you’re at least amused” She also submitted and gave the exuberant portalmancer her high-five.

Tizmael was intentionally ignoring Jotis at this point, instead turning to Vergil and offering him a bow of her head. “Thank you friend, we would have been finished without your help” The demon was starting to get a stomach ache from all this sweet talk, but she managed to keep grinning.

Jotis had his arms crossed as he felt almost betrayed, he rolled his eyes and huffed. "This doesn't change anything." He managed to say loud enough for everyone to hear, in which tipped Static.

"I think it changes plenty, she just saved the day." He shook his head and roughly brushed against Jotis. "I don't know what everyone's problems are here," he said grabbing his static saucer from the ground and wiping the sludge off it and charging it up, "but you guys need to work on your team effort." He flew up above and grabbed his coat that was still on the scaffold. "I'll catch you guys later." He said before zipping down several hallways and generally out of sight.

"Thanks for the help, Static!" Looper managed to yell before he zoomed off around halls. Still full of energy, she ran up to hug Zero in celebration. "Can you believe it, Z?" she exclaimed excitedly. "We survived our first major battle! AND we won!" she had had a moment of doubt for a few moments there.

Zero was quick to reiprocate the hug, eager to find something better to occupy his mind then the buffet of doubt and impending awkward that he was sure to come when Jotis began to look for asses to kick. But for now, he had this pleasant little moment. "Got a little tense, but I guess we DID win, huh?" He asked, giving her a squeeze.
---
Sparky approached Jotis, albeit cautiously, as Static flew away. "He IS right you know. The ONLY reason Plasmus didn't trash us is because Tizmael stepped in. We were running around like a bunch of little girls in that fight." Sparky relayed bluntly. He knew Jotis wasn't going to like it, but if the rest of their fights went like this, they weren't going to last long....

Tiz shook her head and ran her tongue over the roof of her mouth to ease the burnt flesh. It healed fast enough as it was quite superficial, it’d sting for awhile but she liked that. “It’s fine Sparky. Thank you.” She loved the praise too, Lucifer on the Throne of Heaven did she love it, but she needed to be as humble as she could. It was too sweet of an act to give up.

The demon batted some gunk off of her shoulder and turned to the group as a whole. “Not bad for our first run huh?” Tiz made sure to cast a cheeky grin Jotis’ way, unafraid of the oncoming temper tantrum that seemed almost inevitable.

Jotis looked away when she shot that smile at him, it annoyed him, yet he knew there was no way out of it. Tiz was here to stay, and it seemed that he owed her one at this rate. As much as it disdained him, if he ended up continuing their fight he knew he would lose.

"Yeah," He said in a deep lowly voice, "not bad."

Titans Tower
8:00 p.m.

He certainly didn't expect to be standing here this morning, Jotis had a spare communicator in his hand, and it was stretched out as an offering to Tizmael. The other Titans had finished eating their dinner and what was happening now seemed almost ceremonial.

Feeling like he should say something more profound than 'Sorry you don't really have a room' or 'This is for earlier today,' Jotis only decided to say "Welcome to the team."

Tizmael took the communicator quietly, though she smiled knowingly as if she knew exactly what Jotis didn’t want to admit. She kept that to herself and tucked it away into her tunic pocket; patting it to make sure it was safe before giving Jotis a little mock curtsy. “Much obliged Jotis.”

The demon then proceeded to spin around, pull the device out and wave it around in the direction of the others as if to say ‘look!look at what I got!’. It pleased her greatly that things hard worked out so well.

As soon as Jotis handed the communicator to Tizmael, Looper let out a squeal of delight. Running up to the spinning little demon, she picked her up as she embraced her in a hug. "Congratulations, Tiz!" she started to twirl around with her. "I knew you'd make it on to the team! You can share bunks with Zero and I." she offered.

Zero cringed slightly at karmy's idea- partly because he wanted it to be just Karmy and him, and partly because that would mean three to a room would make it pretty cramped. "There's also probably an spare room for her if she wants it." Zero interjected. Heaven knew there were plenty...

Chapter One
[Looker]

6/20/14
Jump City
Night 10:30 PM

Inside an old clock tower, she spied through binoculars and scoffed to herself as she observed Titan's Tower. Darkness shrouded the building, an ill structure. "Beggars cannot be choosers." The short haired assassin said drawing her blade. She looked at it with solicitous and as much as one could show an inanimate object her affections, gazing upon it with such passion.

"Well, I've run out of options." She said almost seeming like she was talking to the sword, she closed her eyes and nodded to herself. "If I'm ever going to save Emily, I cannot do it alone." She said under her breath before returning the sword back to her sheath, and even patting the sheath as if to make the sword more comfortable resting by her hip.

The woman in the black and red suit began to descend the old clock tower on the boarders of the city, and headed for the T shaped skyscraper. Being careful not to get spotted, she kept to the shadows and away from all the city lights. The docks were always a lonely place, but the assassin never took chances, it just wasn't her. She made the effort to crawl underneath the barnacle covered docks. Her boots were soaked in the sea water as she quietly swashed them towards the tower, the feeling wasn't foreign to her, but it didn't make it uncomfortable. The water was cold, too cold. The assassin checked one more time to make sure that her sword was secure before she began to swim. She was now hip deep in the sea, it was about time.

She swam. Swam all the way from the docks to the cay, tireless, weariless. The swim wasn't anything she has endured before, but the traversing it still made her out of breath. Still, she pursued. The assassin showed a sort of strange optimism in her stride, as she approached the tower, casually skipping past security as if she knew where everything was, and that was probably because she did. Punching in a code at the front doors that she was instructed to enter, she silently engaged the doors manually instead of letting them slide open automatically. The woman walked about the Tower, "Impressive." She remarked, was this Wayne funded? The technology was familiar enough as she ran her hand down the pillars and walls of the technological prowess that the tower encased. Taking the stairs, tip towing, mindful of her steps gently resting on each concrete step, she made her way to the common room on the top floor. Her hair still wet, from the swim, the sea water dripped from her crown down her eyes. It was a far climb up.

Opening the door, she scanned the room for the Titan's computer. Walking over to the farthest window she noticed. A keyboard and pulled out a flash-drive, plugging it in before she began typing. An enormous screen came to life and she began inputting passwords like it was nothing. She wasn't sure if she'd find out who had kidnapped Emily, but her search lead her here. So close to the truth. Maybe she may find out why they decided to kidnap her. The assassin looked up at the full moon, she noticed a reflection in the glass. Narrowing her eyes, her hand rested on her blade.

"Stop right there, intruder." The voice of Jotis commanded drawing his sword and pointing it at the short haired woman. She slowly raised her hands in defense and turned around. "State your business." Jotis said, behind him the lights came on, and his team was behind him.

"I came for your help." She replied with a heavy accent.

"What's your name?" Jotis asked.

"You can call me… Katana."

Why do they always have to make trouble so late at night? Looper couldn't help but think. The past month had been a rush of  tactics and trainings that was all new to her. And frankly, it had been a bit of a rough ride for her, Jotis was working them ragged. But not once had she complained, she new that all this was necessary if she wanted to become a better hero and for them to become a better team.

Batons still at the ready, she maintained her fighting stance just in case this woman was trying to trick them. A month ago, she probably would've tried to approach this potential threat and tried to exchange pleasantries with her, but she had learned to be cautious. "You could've just called instead of breaking in?" she suggested. "What do you need our help with?"
