Gotham City's Midnight Riders (ENDED)

"No! We are meant to work together." cried Emily in frustration. Grabbing Astela's hand, her mind was again flooded with images, but she tried to ignore them and hold on. "Matt, please show her what you can do, please?" Matt was silent for a moment, not sure what to do.

"Ok, Emmy" he replied quietly. He lifted his left arm, and suddenly all the trees that had been planted along the sidewalk bloomed. They all began to grow, until they towered next to the buildings. Then, in but a moment their petals all fell, making a storm of white and pink blossoms.

Emily stood silent for a moment. "You are good...." she said quietly to herself. Matt walked over to Emily and put his hand on her shoulder. "It's ok, Emmy... it just wasn't meant to be." Emily sighed. "But, that's the thing... it is meant to be... someday"

Before Astela was out of earshot, Emily called out. "Jamie, this isn't the end..."

Seeing Casius needed some assistance, Ghost threw a flashbang in their area. Everyone was blinded and deafened by a deafening ringing. Ghost then appeared by Casius' side.
"Let's go," he laughed.

Mercy was ever so used to flashbangs. She recovered from it rather quickly. When her eyes cleared up she noticed a second figure. "Ghost... I've heard a lot about you two. Working as a team..." Mercy skidded next to Karmy. "Lets show how girls fight Karmy!"

Startled by the sudden reaction, Emily was quiet for a moment. "I... I know more than you think..." she said quietly, "I can relate... I grew up without parents too..." Emily slowly walked towards Adela, until she was standing directly in front of her and the dragon. "I'm not afraid", Emily said quietly. Matt, nervous about what might happen to Emily, began summoning vines out of the ground, just in case he needed to protect her. Emily turned towards Matt, and smiled. "Don't worry about me, Matt, my future is sealed, remember?" and with that she giggled, and gave Adela another hug.

Kahna ran up to Greht and with a questioning look she changed the sword's position in her hand, eager for a fight but unsure who was the 'bad guy' was here. The two girls were fighting these other two guys. 'What to do she thought' she thought as the excitement grew around her. Then BANG! The lights momentarily blinded her. Oh she was gonna kill the idiot who threw that one.

Matt stepped forward, finally warming up to the stranger. "There is a forest 7 miles west of here. If you go with us I can create shelter for you."

As the group walked along, they finally reached the outskirts of the city and began walking across an open field. As they walked, all the plants near Matt would grow and flower. "It's a side-effect" he said as he noticed Adela staring. As they continued, they eventually reached a dark forest. Adela was hesitant to enter, but with some reassurance from Emily she continued onward. Once they had been walking for what seemed like hours, the group stopped. "This is the perfect place." Matt said with a smile, then extended his arms out to his left and right. Suddenly all the trees around bent back, letting light from the setting sun sparkle through. With much effort, Matt managed to move the trees around to create an open patch roughly 40 ft in diameter. Suddenly the ground was covered in flowers, making a cushion for the weary travelers. "This will work for tonight" Matt said as he finished adjusting the plants.

The whole area was carpeted in flowers, making soft beds for everyone. Vines hung from branch to branch, making an organic roof to their shelter.

This wasn't going how Casius wanted. Sure, he wanted to fight, but not when he had a job. "How girls fight, eh? How about a rain check on that one." Casius said, genuinely not interested. With a powerful punch, he tore a chunk out of a nearby powerline, causing it to fall between Him and Ghost and the advancing superheroes. The flailing, dangerous power cables made it impossible for them to get to him and ghost. "Au Revoir, ladies." he said, turning to Ghost. "Let's scram." He said to ghost, and he once more turned to leave.
[I'm sure someone else is gonna try to stop 'em when they get to the bank x_X]

A bit hesitant to follow and abandon a fight, Ghost paused. Then without a moment's delay, he turned and followed Casius.
"When are we going to have some fun Casius? The Bat jus died, n we haven't even fought worthy opponents.."
But Ghost knew they had a job to do, and thus, dropped it, as they made their way to the bank.

Watching the two men leave, Kahna hesitantly walked over the two remaining girls on the street, carefully avoiding the fallen powerline. She made a note to 'get back' with the men later. But first there were these two... Kahna strapped the sword onto her back again and traded it for a small trench knife, just in case.

"Don't worry- once we give the goods to gruesome, we'll have plenty of time to bash some skulls." Casius said. "In fact, I say some fun in city without Bat-type interference would be nice." Casius mused as they stomped down the street. Now that there was no bat hiding in the night, the night was about to become significantly more interesting...

"Fair enough," Ghost whispered.
When the two reached the bank, Ghost stopped and asked Casius, "Plan of attack n entry?"

"You're welcome" replied Matt as he blushed slightly, "I suppose we should rest now, and then we can set off in the morning." and with that he created large flowers beds [oh yes, a pun] for each of them to rest on, and soon Matt and Emily were fast asleep.

"Plan? Simple- we go in, kick some ass, and walk out. Savvy?" Casius said, aiming his cannon at the electronic doors...

Ivy stared at the tower. She was on the shore of the lake, and had been for quite some time. But couldn't bring herself to go to the tower. She felt as though somebody else was here, and briefly remembered the last time she had been in Jump City. 3 months ago, when she had disappeared to evade Poison Ivy....and now to rejoin the Titans and recruit their help. Now, for some reason, she made herself touch the nearest tree, and receive a vision of everything in the world through the earth itself.

Karm....Malice...museum....Strangers in a forest.....metal dudes....

The visions sent her reeling back. Why were Malice and Karm here? Deciding to check that out, she leapt up and formed an orb of air around her, allowing her to 'fly' towards the museum.

Ghost laughed in his sickly voice.
"I was hopin' for a lil sniping, but that'll do."
He switched to his thermal vision, and pulled out his plasma blades.
"Ready when you are, mate."

Mercy drew her knife back into it's sheath and stared at the girl who was approaching them. "Dammit, got away.. Who are you?" She asked. Karmy looked at Mercy then back at the approaching girl.

"Buddy, I'm ALLWAYS ready." Casius said with a laugh. Firing a blast at the doors, he watched as the electronic locks went insante and blew apart, flinging the doors open. Sure enoguh, gaurds came pouring out. "Tch, wake me when it's over." he said, poping his neck.

"Can and will do.." Ghost said.
He then lunged forward, and with a whirlwind-like lunge, he sliced the throat of the first guard. A second came, trying to hit him with his gun, but Ghost ducked, this time doing an upper punch with one blade, sending the guard flying back.
While dodging strikes and bullets, Ghost called, "Oblige them."

*So Greht came back from the bathroom* "GAH THOU PEASANTS ART ONCE MORE WITHIN MY PROXIMITY! BATTLE ONCE MORE!...or I MAY BE ABLE SURREPTITIOUSLY SNEAK UNDER THE NOSE OF THE WOLF..." *Greht considers this, and decides to run into the museum and run back out with the gem.* "TEEHEE."

"Of course." Casius said. Chargint like a bull, he knocked the helpless gaurds asunder despite their best efforts to take him down. Punching this way and that, the poor gaurds didn't stand a chance against him and Ghost.
