Mercy got scared and got off of the screaming man in fear. "What's he babbling about?" Mercy asked herself and the others around her indirectly, "You're asking the wrong hippie." Karmy said to Mercy. "Hey! Hey pay attention! What are you referring to?!" Mercy asked in a demanding tone. He started to freak everyone out.

"OH NO!" GREHT ROARED! "I MUST GO TAKE A SHOWER IN THE UNDERWORLD. BRB. DON'T ANY OF YOU GO AWAY NOW..." Greht dissappeared. XD

Kahna was shocked. And so were those around her. What the hell had just happened? What in the world was Greht doing? She shook her head and turned to Mercy and Karmy, unsure of what to do now that this girl named Cara and the angel guy showed up.

(Joker time)

If anyone thought that the Joker's smile could get any wider, they were dead wrong. He was no longer just smiling from ear to ear, hell his ears were practically touching because his smile was so wide! Joker ran into the cell were his sidekick, Harley Quinn, slept peacefully. He pulled on a color full part hat and burst out into song.

"Ohhhh!!
Ding Dong! The Batman is dead. Which old Bat? The stupid Bat!
Ding Dong! The freakin' Bat is dead!!!!!"

Pulling out a large air-horn, he blasted poor Harley straight in the ear. She screamed as she woke up, but Joker continued his parodied song.

"Wake up, the freakin Bat is dead. He's gone where the hero's go,
Below - below - below. Yo-ho, let's open up and sing and ring the bells out Harley my dear!
Ding Dong' the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low!
Let them know
The Batman is dead!"

Harley finally registered in her head what the Joker was saying and started to dance around with her boss. Grabbing Harley's hand, Joker jumped to the nearest window, threw out a canister of his infamous LaughX gas and let his final line,

"Yes, let the joyous news be spread The Dark Knight is at last dead!!"

And he laughed madly.. Over and over again.

After Casius and Ghost made fast work of the gaurds, Casius heaved a few large sacs full of cash over his shoulder, and waited as Ghost to do likewise. "Ha, without the bat, things like this will be a cinch!" He chuckled in a most unpleasant manner.

"Don't leave me!" Emily screamed as she awoke. Adela was startled, thinking she was referring to her. In actuality, Emily had a nightmare about when Adela's mother had passed away. "Emily, what is it?" asked Matt as he leaned up, seeing Adela on her dragon.

Mercy heard the cracking of the Joker's laughter a mile away, but then again she could also hear the gun shots and screams of the innocent a mile away as well. They had to stick to what they were trying to accomplish. Order. First by getting this crazy night over with, getting all the criminals off the streets first. How? Maybe getting the Joker would help. He usually was able to bribe criminals to work for him anyways. Maybe he was a key.

Mercy looks at the four heroes that was there. Carafrost had attacked them earlier but maybe she was safe. Maybe. "Okay everyone, we want to get some uniformity around this town we have to work together. Not 45 minutes ago did we institute the Midnight Riders." Mercy said. "If you aspire to join and come to the aid to bring this municipality back to the way it was then collaborate with us. We can prove that Gotham doesn't need to rely on Batman as their savior."

"Yeah!" Karmy said raising her fist up. "Let the city know that it will sleep once again in peace!" and she pulled everyone in for a group hug.

Matt watched as the dragon flew into the distance. "What was that all about?" he asked her. "I... I don't know..." emily said meekly, "I had a strange dream.. It felt so realistic. There was a man dying, and.. oh that poor girl!" and with that Emily burst into tears. Matt tried to comfort her, and as he put his hand on her shoulder, the downpour started...

Greht ended his song, and proceeded to say "GAH! NOW YE ALL SHALL PERISH! FOR THE TIME HAS COME FOR ME TO SING ABBA" Greht began to start but not before Mercy and karm could counter attack him.

Mercy glared at the giant man in the suit of armor and put her left foot behind his right leg and pushed him down. "Hey!! We're trying to have a moment here! Its not helpful with your obnoxious screaming!!"

Karmy portaled behind Greht. "Yeah man!" and she slapped a sticky grenade on his back, "We totally were having a group hug! No one interrupts those!"

Greht pondered his predicament. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY." Greht proceeded to say as he blew up once again.

Mercy looked at the man who was now complaining in the strangest fashion. She thought the word "Gay" back then was put in the context to express joy, yet he sounded like a Halo 3 online player. Ignoring that fact she held out a hand to help him up. "You wanna help save this city if it'll get you back to your time?" Mercy asked almost regretting it. But logically they needed all the help they could get.

Kahna rolled her eyes at Greht's antics and flipped her blade. She was part of a team now. The Midnight Riders....wow. She walked over to the screaming Greht and grabbed his arm, pulling him up. "Listen." she said as she pointed to Mercy. "Now..." Glaring at him, she let go and stepped back waiting for Mercy to continue with the plan of returning the city back to order.

"Everyone here heard the Joker a second ago right? First we find him and try to get a hold of all the criminals in the city. The Joker usually has a large crew, maybe all the crooks already worked with him at one point in their life." Mercy rationalized. They had to stick together not to get trashed by any other of Gotham's finest.

Kahna nodded and asked, "How?" This sounded like a big job for the five of 'em. But as she looked around at each one she could feel the confidence growing and she fed it, making it stronger. She then believed that they could do it. They could do anything.

For just a moment, Grehts life flashed before his eyes. Memories that had been without accessed for years were now clear as the daylight he had so desperately avoided. Memories of lost loves and a painful past opened up unto him, and as cheesy and thematically pathetic as it sounded, Grehts soul began to reawaken. Then, it went back to sleep. XD
"GRAH WENCH, I SHALT JOIN YE IN THY ENDEAVOR TO DEFEAT THY FOES. THE DEMONS INFLUENCE WANES, AND THY WILL IS VASTER NOW THAN EVER!" xD

Mercy looked at Greht, the massive juggernaut a little confused and rusty on her olde english King James Version like tounge. "I'm assuming that you'll help" Mercy said with a faint grin. Karmy crossed her arms. "I still think he's a pu-Ow!" Mercy elbowed her before she could finish then turned to the team "We have to first find where that laugh came from." Mercy said to the team.

"THOU SHALT HELP ME SECURE THOU STONES, AND BY DESTROYING THOSE, SEAL THY DEMON FOREVER. IN BARTER, THY SERVICES ART AT THOU LEISURE... NOW, WE RIDE! FOR ESPER, THE RELIQUARY, AND THE SAGE OF LAT-NAM!"
