Gotham City's Midnight Riders (BEGUN)

(Thanks, I hope I portrayed the Insomnios ok I wasn't sure exactly how they'd act, so I made them blissfully eccentric with a pinch of hillbilly LOL)

Eliza sighed, then nodded. "Yes... yes, I will tell you all what you need to know. But first I need to tell you that SYNG will always be powerful so long as they hav-" Eliza's words were cut short as a loud shot echoed all around. She glanced down, her eyes wide with horror as she saw the bulletholes through her chest. Coughing blood, she collapsed onto her hands and knees. Slowly a playing card landed before her-- it was the king of hearts. Eliza's eyes went so wide it seemed as though they would burst. "No..." she whispered under her breath, but suddenly the card 'exploded' into thousands of shards, ripping through her heart.

"F*CK!"Karmy scream covering herself from the blast. "You bastards!" and she began shoot around wildly in the air. "What the f*ck is wrong with you people!"

Only echoing laughter could be heart from about, and all was soon quiet again. Suddenly the puddle of water near Karmy grew and took the shape of a young woman. "Don't be afraid!" Marissa said hastily, "I am not your enemy.. or at least not at the moment... I... I think something's wrong. Eliza was one of our best agents, so if they are killing HER just to keep their dirty secrets, than none of us are safe with what we know. I think SYNG might be focusing on another tactic soon-- rather than recruiting people with power, I think they're going to try to eliminate all others with abilities, making us the only ones. Please, be careful... Gypsy stalks at night." With that the girl turned back into water, seeping through the cracks in the pavement.

Casius, confused by what had happened, turned to Charmer [assuming he still has him- i didn't catch a part where he scurried away.] "Look's like it's just you now, big man." he said to him.

Twoface, battered and bloody, slowly came to in Gotham general hospital. He was hooked up to mahcines and bandaged up, and under close watch by several cops, whom no doubt were going to give him the interrogation of a lifetime when he came to. He knew he had to get out ASAP- if Hand caught wind that he was still alive, he would certaintly finish the job, most likely by turning him into one of his merry men...

"Wrong!" said a voice that seemed to come out of nowhere. Charmer's shirt wrinkled as though a hand were grabbing him, and in seconds Charmer faded into nothingness. The sound of footsteps running was heard faintly.

"Oh hell no! There is no way you're getting away again!" and Karmy pulled out a pair of heat sensing goggles and slipped them on. Looking around wildly, she spotted them trying to escape. "Stop! I will shoot you!"

(yeah... that was cheesy >_>)

Charmer and Caleb were suddenly consumed by a burst of water, and in moments it seemed as though both of them had also become water. Slowly the water drained through the storm drain, and as it flowed out to sea, Marissa, Caleb, and Charmer formed again. Marissa was almost unconscious from how much energy it took to turn them into water as well, but she had managed to do it... barely.

(Sorry, I know it was a cheap way to escape, but I have to be gone later, so I needed to pull my characters out for a lil while lol)

"F*ck!" Karmy screamed and threw the guns to the floor. This caused the gun to go off and almost hit her. "Double f*ck!" Still fuming, she began to look for her friends.

(Charmer control goes to Karmy, SYNG control goes to Mercy or Red :D )

And casius and ghost lashed aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall of the syng agents together except for Redeemer and Hand, and shoves them off in a slow lifeboat to china, with Ghost busting the champane bottle on the bow.
[not really, but it felt so good to say]

Mercy stood up, still holding her stomach from the knife wound from last night. "I'm sorry I couldn't help. Not a lot of action for me, I'm sorry." Mercy told her getting up. Ivy Aurora Artanis and Ghost converged on their location. Ghost walked up to Casius, Artanis and Aurora were sticking together. Ivy helped Mercy stand. "We'll get them." Ivy said encouragingly. "Justice will be served." Assured Artanis. "Yeah we can take 'em." Aurora commented. Ghost checked his helmet, "Alright mates, well we can get started at Gotham's local Memorial Hospital." He said. "Wait... Why?" Mercy asked inquisitivly. "Two-Face just checked in. We could interject for questioning." He suggested.

The Midnight Riders were standing outside of the doors of Harvey Dent's hospital room. The entire hospital was booming. Everyone was going crazy, it was a miricle that they were even to get in. Officers walked out of the room. "He's all yours." He told them, Mercy was the first to walk in.

"Evening, Mr. Dent." She said.

(Am I with y'all O_o?)

Twoface groaned. "Time for my miserable interogation already, Slade Junior?" Twoface grumbeled. It was better than seeing the hand there, but it still sucked.

"Looks like it." Mercy said walking in closer. Being nearly face to face with Two-Face again made her wish that she hadn't turned in her guns and knifes. "Mind telling me who did this to you? Or are you suicidal? Does this have to do with SYNG?"

(Yay ^_^)

Karmy leaned against the wall and listened as Mercy interrogated Two-Face. She still had her bag with her for she had refused to give it up when the police asked her to. She was ready just in case anything happened.

"YOu might say it was SYNG. Tell me, Slade Jr.,do you know what a Black Lantern is?" He could see the color drain from her face- she knew. "There is a very powerful one in their employ. He did this." He explained.

"Black Lantern Corps? The Black Hand? He's involved in all this too? They are? What about SYNG? You mind spilling the beans about that?" Mercy's heart was beating unhealthily fast.

Twoface seemd abnormaly calm. "Yes, a Black lantern was hired by SYNG. It was not with my approval- I have firsthand seen the things that a Black lanter can do." He said, rubing his good eye. "But hsi true intentions elude me, but I can only guess that they aren't good." He said.

"Oh yeah," Mercy said sarcastically "and your intentions for retribution on an entire city was for good intentions." She had her back to the wall adjacent from Two-Face's bed.

"Hey, you yourself said man isn't good. I don't claim to be an exception." Twoface shrugged. "But I WILL say this. If you all remain here, the one-two punch of Reddemer and the Hand alone will destroy you all. WIth them and all of SYNG brethign down your necks... well, I'd not want to be you all when things really heat up." He cautioned.

"We'll take our chances. Do you know of any intentions of SYNG? You funded them after all."

"I THOUGHT their intentions were to obtain control over Gotham, and put handling the city into their own hands. If they're dusting myself and other agents off, I can only guess at the most sinister of purposes, but what exactly that is, I have no clue." He said, taking a sip of the drink at his bedside table.

"Why would they want to take over G-... Gotham? What's the purpose of that?" She stuttered over her words. The Fact that Black Lantern Corps was involved was frightening enough. But she had to stay strong. Not only for herself, but for the group. And for Gotham.

"Originally, the purpose was to institute Martial Law. In its deteriorating condition, it's only a matter of time before gotham is simply a chaotic wasteland." Twoface explained. "But its intentions now elude me. If you were to get your hands on a high ranking operative, like the Hand or one of his... associates, you'll learn more about their motives than you will from me." he said, apparently blissfuly ignorant of Mercy quaking in her boots.

"Shit... oh gastrointestinal sh*t.." This seemed way beyond The Midnight Riders. Mercy crossed her arms and looked at Karmy who seemed confused. She didn't want to explain it. Mercy looked away out of the window. Cries of the innocent could still be heard for the 4th Day in a Row that this crazy event started.
