Gotham City's Midnight Riders (BEGUN)

Mercy watched the flames crawl onto the grass. "We've got to get back to Gotham. Inform everyone, and take a visit to Wayne Enterprise." Mercy said. The past 6 days had been a living hell. She couldn't wait for this ordeal to finally come to an end. She closed her eyes and looked at her small team. She wondered what happened to everyone else. What was going on. She saw Karmy's eyes glow matching the colors of the flames, they changed colors every now and then but they still had a faint wash of the burning flame in them. She felt for the batman utility belt she got the second day, but it was gone. "Oh crap! I forgot they took my belt again!"

(Nice XD!)

Karmy laughed and reached into her bag. "Well sh*t!" she put her whole arm in as she searched. "I don't think I have another one." her tongue was sticking out and she started to go in deeper until her head joined her arms in the bag. A few things fell from the bag as she searched. A bottle, a desk, a tire, a disembodied arm, a cabbage. "Hehe oops." Karmy laughed as she pulled the bag off. "Umm... Y'all didn't see that." and she stuffed the cabbage back in her bag. "Want to go back and get it Mercy?"

"Are you kidding? That place was darker than the inside of a rats ass! So what? I lost two guns and a grenade or two. Lets just head back and get things done already." Mercy said placing her hands on her hips upset.

"Alighty." Karmy shrugged her shoulders and threw the arm behind her. "Back to Casius's place I'm guessing? Or should we head for Wayne Enterprise?'

"Lets catch up with Casius first..." Mercy told her. "We need to hurry up and get caught up. Is everyone here okay?"

(Heh!)

Karmy ignored Mercy's comment and portaled them back to Casiuss apartment.

When arriving at the empty harbor, Ivy had simply returned to Casius's apartment. "Mercy! Luna! Karm!" She cried in shock at her arrival. "You're all OK!" She enveloped them all in a large hug.

When the hug was over, she paused. "You better have some good news and a good reason for having me worried like that!"

I smiled happy Luna was ok. Figuring my senses were wrong I grabbed my bag and started to walk away. I formed back to my normal self.

Casius looked at the three that had returned and snorted. "Going off to fight without me and getting the sh*t beaten out of you while already injured? Talk." Casius said, still observing the Datapad and the fresh injuries the riders had obtained during their fight, as well as their previous ones.

"Back off Cas. We've got more important business to attend to. They've been at the freakin Wayne Enterprise building all this time, they've been right under our noses." Mercy said. "They killed Batman to recruit him to the Black Lantern, they're creating a super army of dead heros."

Casius wasn't suprised- he knew a hting or two about Lanters. He was, however, suprised that they were operating so close. But there were other orders of business. "And now what do you plan to do? Charge in and fight them? in your condition, and army of lanterns would tear you all to shreds. Just one almost killed Sarah." Casius said.

Karmy walked away to the other room and sat down on the floor. She had already heard what Redeemer had said and she didn't need to hear it again. Pulling off her bag, she placed it in her lap. She looked at it. It was pretty much the same, no stains or aging at all. The only thing different about it was the small tear from 4 years ago. No matter what she had done, she could never fix it.

She placed both her hands over it, and a soft blue glow started to emit from her hands and the bag. Sweat dripped from Karmys face as she concentrated. A spark of electricity came from the bag and started to circle around Karmy's hands. In a matter of seconds, the glow was nearly blinding, but Karmy kept her eyes shut and remained focused. After a few minutes, the glow died down and the small spark made on final rotation before shooting back inside the bag. Karmy's shoulders relaxed and she lay on the floor, weak and tired. She held the bag close to her chest.


(*cough*crap*cough*)

( O_O not crap! That was epic, Karm! Oh and thats a bad cough, I'd suggest some tea.)

Ivy blinked. Syng...Redeemer....the Lanterns..Warner...It was all an elaborate plot. Everything was falling into place. "Casius is right. We won't survive on our own. We need to call in help, somehow." She nibbled her bottom lip in concentration.

"I didn't mean help. I meant you kids are in no shape to rush off to fight your own little war." Casius said in his usual scolding tone. "And furthermore, I have to leave town for a few days." he explained. "When that b*stard ben took my daughter for a joyride, he probably meant to dispose of her quick. If I don't go get her cybernetics switched over to something mroe long term, she might shut down." He said.

Mercy stood up, "Casius, we have to attack as soon as possible. The longer we wait the more powerful Black Lantern will get! You want us to sit around while we let them consume this city?!" Mercy crossed her arms, she shed several tears of frustration, breathing heavily. "They killed Batman Casius, the godamn Batman!" She stressed.

"Fine. Let's go and fight them right now if you want. But in your condition, how long do you think it would last? Do you even have anyhting capable of killing a lantern, let alone a whole skyscraper full?" He asked. "Rushing in to my own death isn't somehting on my to-do list."

(Karmy control open for now guys O_o)

Karmy weakly staggered out of the room, Casey's bag still held close, and stumbled over to Casius and Mercy. She had heard what Casius had said and she turned towards him. "Casius. If we don't do anything now," she said, determination in her voice, "Then it may be too late to save the city. To save the world. We just need to stick together."

"And hope for a miracle."

"Don't you get it!?" Casius asked raising his voice. "If you rush to fight, you'll be killed for sure! And what's worse, they'll make lanterns out of you! How the HELL do you intend to fight in your conditions!?" He asked, his voice bordering panic. In reality, he was frightened senseless. One lantern nearly killed his daughter, which she only managed to kill with her powers. Casius lacked powers, and unlike the Riders, he couldn't get beaten within and inch of his life and come off on top. He had limits, and knew them all too well.

But what he feared the most was different. His son was a lantern. Could he truly face his son? Using the ring he had, he MIGHT be able to take on a lantern or two, but could he truly fight his own son?

(I am at a lose right now o_o;; I was just BS posting cause idk what to do...)

A voice came from nearby, "Did someone here say Batman?" Everyone's attention averted to the an open hole that was blown to bits, outside stood Nightwing, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven, and Beast Boy. The old Titans still there entered the room. Mercy stood shocked. He turned to Ivy, "Long time no see kid." He said to her. "Where did you guys come from?!" Mercy asked. "From our mothers, duh!" Beast Boy joked, "All the way from Jump City baby! Titans: in the flesh!" Cyborg said loudly.

The team started to get bigger and bigger. Now there was over ten of them, not including Ghost and his sister Nova who are knocked out at the moment. Everyone was greeting one another.

(O_O!!! HOLY SH*T!!!)

Karmy's eyes became wide as she stared at the Titans. "HOLY SH*T!!!!" she screamed. "You're the real titans!" she was starstruck.

Karmy tackle hugged Beast Boy. "Dude! My name is Karmy! I like glue!" she said in his face. "I was the one who took care of Steve while y'all were away. I miss him! How is he?"

Beast Boy between arguing with Raven and getting squeezed to death by Karmy didn't know what to say. Starfire scratched the back of her head, Cyborg turned to her "Yo Star, don't be shy girl!" He said turning to Casius, "Look! This team has a robot too!" He told her, "Greetings!" She said with a smile, "My name is Starfire! How are you, tall other robot man?"

Mercy approached Nightwing, "Hey, I'm the leader of this group. We're The Midnight Riders." She said sticking out her hand to his, he took it to give her a firm shake. "Glad to meet you, we're the Titans!" He said.
