Dawn of the Titans (Started!!)

Rose tried to get up, but all she managed to do was blast her lunch all over the ground. Slade interpreted. "Bastards at the border got us- AGAIN." Slade hissed. He was thoughouly disgusted with himself at being weak enough to get nailed a second time. Weakness... the mere thought made him want to join Rose in puking on the streets. He still had some of the cure form earlier in his bloodstream, and combined iwht his healing ability, he could slow the infection. not STOP it, but slow down the rate by a bit. What he wouldn't give to have his robot hordes with him so he could just turn the infected inside out, beat the quarantine gaurds senseless and be done with the whole ordeal.

"Let me guess.." Karmy said leaning against the wall as the others surrounded Slade and Rose. "Y'all were infected again?"

"Yeeeeeeeees." Slade moaned, still disgusted with himself, replaying his horrid display of self- weakness in his mind. When he got his hands on the people that infected him and made a fool of him., they were going to wish they had never been born.

(alrighty Red, I'll let you pick who gets turned into an infected O_o)

"Fine..." Karmy started digging around her bag for one of the pods. After a few minutes she found one and tossed it to Slade. "I have on last one. But Damien should be able to find another cure right?" Karmy said looking towards Damien. He gave a nod and Karmy began to look in her bag again for the last pod. "Aha! Here it- oops" she accidentally dropped it and it rolled out of sight. "i got it." and she ran to get it.

As Karmy rounded the corner, Jeff appeared out of thin air in front of her. "Hey who ar-mmph!" a rough hand covered her mouth with a cloth while Jeff held her restrained. Karmy struggled in his grip and muffled screams escaped the cloth. "Sleep tight Karmy." he whispered in her ear. After a few seconds, Karmy's eyes rolled into the back of her head and she fell limp in Jeffs arms. "Heh, you'll be with your brother soon Karmy." and her slung her over his shoulders and vanished once more.

(Remember this is an alternate world O_o..)

"What's taking her so long?" Kamica asked. She got her pen ready, just incase and went to find Karmy. No Karmy. "Karmy? Hey Karm!" Kamica called. No answer. She ran back to the group, "Guys, Karmy's gone..."

(Wait... a brother?!)

Slade looked at the pod he had been given. Oh he could have been an ass about it and taken it for himself, but his healing powers, combined witht he traces of the first antidote, he could last a while. Rose on the other hand lacked that, and she would probably be unable to resist the infection at all. He chucked the pod to her. "Use this." He ordered, and Rose didn't hesitate a second. Slade turned to look for karmy, but all he heard was a muffeled scream- and with his advanced hearing, a familiar voice. With a curse, Slade dashed around the corner. "Dam it..." Slade hissed under his breath.

(Yeppers, don't you remember him from AB's RP O_o?)

"What?" Damiens head shot up when he heard the news. "Well sh*t I guess that means that we'll hav-" out of no where an infected crashed through the front door. It got up and looked around, its impossibly long teeth glinting in the sunlight. It had pointed, saw like arms and long hair that reached to its knees. Tattered blue jeans and a white shirt hung from its body.

Aurelia screamed and hid behind Ghost who raised his sniper to shoot it in the head. "No! Wait!" Damien shouted before he could fire. "We could use it. For our test subject, we just need to some how knock it out and immobilize it.." The infected turned its soulless black eyes to the group, gave a high pitched screech, and charged.

Rose put herself between the charging infected and the rest of the group. "Trap it, huh?" She said, and pulled out her dual staffs. If these things were mutated humans, logically their nervous syustems shouldn't be too far off from a regular person's. With a X-swipe directed at the base of the creature's neck, she took careful aim and swung, praying she succeded in KOing the creature...

(Oh damn! Nice Red XD!!)

The blow hit the infected dead center and it flopped to the floor unconscious. "Alirght. Now we need to restrain it," Damien limped over to the creature and checked its vitals. "If I'm right, then we have everything we need here to make another cure. We'll test it on this one first when we have a look around."

Slade huffed back into the room, the infection begining to push him to seeing that damn panda again. Rose looked at Slade breifly, then to Damien. "How do you plan to do that? Isn't the cure some kind of plant?" She asked.

"Yes and no. The bacteria that was in the original cure came from the plant, but I think I can duplicate it." Damien said as he limped along. Behind him, Ghost and James were dragging the infected while Blade, Alaska, Kate and Aurelia walked behind them. They were on guard just in case it decided to wake up. They came up to an operating room and tied the infected down, making sure it was nice and tight. "I need to do an examination on this one. To see how long it has been infected and to the the basis of its mutation." he walked over to one of the cabinets in the room and searched through it. "I need to be alone so that I can concentrate. Could you all step outside please?" he pullled out a sedative and injected it into the infected.

"Um Doc. I'm really don't think you should be alone with the infected." Kamica said. She also just wanted to see this. "Maybe I should stay.."

"Hmmm.." Damien thought for a moment as he pulled on a pair of rubber gloves. "Yes I think that would be fine." he smiled at her. "But the rest of you, I'm going to have to ask you to please leave. I'm terribly sorry."

Rose sighed and left the room, keeping an eye on the worsening Slade, now muttering soemhting about flying corn. She desperateley hoped soemthing could be done to help him- he was a rude, offensive man, but at the same time, he was her father, and she did make a promise...

Blade rolled her eyes. She wanted to see Doc work his magic and duplicate bacteria. She had, after all, a love for science as a child and that was the kind of thing she had always hoped of seeing. Nonetheless, she left the room.

"So..." She began, when a dreary atmosphere was clearly around the group. "What do you think happened to Karm?"

Kamica put some gloves on. "Anything I can do to help?" She asked Doc looking at the infected.

Rose shrugged. "Dunno. Frankly, not caring that much. After our last incident with this group, we ain't sticking around much longer after the doc finds a cure." Rose said coldly. She didn't want to get atacked again, so leaving soon was a must.

(LOL!! Flying corn XD!!!)

"Just keep an eye out for anything suspicious ok?" Damien pulled out syringe and withdrew some blood. "Could you maybe examine their mutations? I'm going to have a closer look at this blood." he walked over to a microscope and pulled out a slide from his pocket. While Kamica examined the sleeping infected, Damien began to look at the blood.

(Feel free to discover something Infy O_o)

Kamica looked over the infected. At first she had to remind herself that this infected was human... at one time. With the gloves on she poked it's arm. Then she started 'examing' it. Yellow skin...freaky teeth... But she wondered, what made them agresive? What caused the change?

(Be as random as you like :3. good idea on the behavior thing O_o..)

"Hmmm..." Damien looked underneath the scope. "The activity of the red bloods cells is enormous! Also the mitochondrions are really large in the cells. The cytoskeletons seem to be dissipating quite fast. Presence of centrioles is close to nil... I'd say this person had been infected about 3 days ago."

(I give someone a cookie if they tell me what each of those things are :3)

"I thought mitochondrions were tiny bugs?" Then she thought. "Cytoskeletons? Centriles? Doc, I never really made it to a real school. Or a collage." She said looking back at the infected.

I just studied cells a month ago!
Mitochondria- Part of cell that provides energy.
Cytoskeleton- Helps support and hold the cytoplasm, I'm guessing. Never heard of that one.
Centrioles- Can't quite remember this one. Dx

"Ah I understand." Damien said as he continued to look underneath the micro scope. "Hmmm... I wonder." he walked out of the room and headed towards the group. "Have any of you here been bitten and have not been affected? If so, I'm going to need a sample of your blood." he said pulling out a syringe

Blade stared at the needle. A chance! A chance to watch the scientist at work. With a smug grin, she replied, "I have. I'm immune."
