The Darkest of Knights

Slade continued to fight Batman. "What's the matter, ROBIN?" Slade said, spitting the name like a curse. "Did my being gone these years make you soft?" He asked, making a wicked swing with his staff. Sure enough Batman blocked it, and the two tried to push each ofhter back. "But I'm impressed- ever since you and your little harem came out of the watter works, you've done more to damage the rest of the supers in this city then I ever could. Look at the hippie for example- sure I gave her due recompense, but it pales in comparison to what your lap-dog Malice did to her." Slade hissed, his voice driping with nothing short of utter detestment.

Zero, Batface, Cy and Cass are out like a bunch of lights.......

Metallo used to get a kick out of gotham. He really did. He'd been able to get work here for years, and there was sentimental value in it as well. When a bunch of crazed, laughing maniacs knocked him over (He's in the form of your average car) however, he had a different train of thought: 'God I hate it here.' Needless to say, the steel jugernaut morphed into something more humanoid, and began batting the crazies off of him....

(Alrighty gang, the last I heard, our dear friend Mercy will not be able to sign on for a good week ;-; If she signs on like, right after this, then I will feel foolish... BUT if she doesn't, then... I forgot my- Oh yeah! so seeing as we're all RP addicts here, and the fine leader of this RP will not be with us for a bit, I say we wait for her return. What do ya say gang, shall we wait?)

Jason looked at the bus, he squinted his eyes. "No keys, the door is locked, and from here it looks like is completely out of gas." Jason said clutching on to Miss Flowers a little more tightly.

Alice grunted as she continued to walk her down the halls and rooms of the batcave. She spotted the bodies of Cyrah, Batface, and Zero unconscious on the floor. "Come back for them later. Later. Later." She muttered walking into the clinic where she rested Karmy next to Barbara. "Stay here.. Don't even think about getting up." Alice turned on her heel and walking out to pick up the unconscious.

Batman glared at Slade, he had to compartmentalize his emotions and focus on his fighting. He knew Slade messes with his emotions, he's done so in the past, calling him weak or soft was an insult to the two years he's been training with Barbara and Alice. He knows he's gotten stronger, it was a fact. "If anyone here has gotten softer, its you Slade; your mechanical body has limits, and unlike a good friend of mine, you're no Cyborg." Batman said diving in for an attack with his staff. With several human parts, Cyborg was able to break his robotic limits, but Batman has the upperhand in which no parts of Slade was human, except for maybe his soul.

"We're almost to the Batcave." Ivy informed the others quietly. She kept her eyes on the street below them, the rock swimming through the air high above. Flames licked at the buildings, people attacking one another, chaos and destruction every where.

"Yeah, the cure right now would be nice." the heroine agreed with Nicole.

"I don't recall caring about my limits- you could never beat me when I held back, and this handicap dosen't boost your odds any better!" Slade scoffed, parrying the blow. He scooted back as the robotic body buckled from the stress. He'd never admit it, but Batman was right- he could only fight this hard for so long- this robot was twenty years old, hardly something that could take on Batman over and over again. So he had to end this- the Joker just said keep them from getting the cure, right?

But Slade still was going to have a bit more fun at his old oponent's expense. "Another thing you spared me the trouble of- ruining your name. For nearly thirty years, Wayne protected the city, kept his identity safe, and made a lasting legend." Slade's hand drifted for his belt. "Then along you come. The city is ruined, your identity out, and your friends strewn about you on the ground." He said venemously, kicking Zero over. "Thanks- you saved me more trouble then you realize." He said, and swiped an explosive disk. He lobbed the disk for Batman.....
[I really did feel bad about wrighting this, I really did.]

"Man, who grows up in Gotham without learning how to break in and hot wire a car?!" Robert joked and looked around the workspace. "And look!" he pointed to a work bench with tools and what appeared to be a gallon of gas. "This should get us far enough and we can patch this baby right up." he looked at the large bus. "Come on man, don't go all debbie downer on me."

Whatever sleeping agent had been in the cure was starting to take it's toll on Karmy, but that didn't mean she couldn't fight it for a little bit longer. After all, she didn't spend half a year in Papua New Guinea with various tribes for nothing. She didn't remember who shot her legs, not that she really cared right this second, all she did care about was getting Casey's bag back from Slade. "What the hell happened.." she muttered groggily to herself as she struggled to get up from the bed.

Batman used his cape and swept over the explosive and jumped out of harm's way. He got up looking at Slade running for the serum that he had been working on for the past several hours. Knowing the danger that Slade would do if he destroyed his work, he reached into his utility belt and pulled out a pair of Bola Batarangs. Like the hurled snares wielded by Argentinean cattlemen, this type trips up crooks by tangling around their feet with weighted ends. He tossed the pair at Slade's ankles as fast as he could.

"In order to be apart of the law, you must keep the law, Robert." Jason said his fists resting above his hips, "I never once broke into a car or hot wired it. But I know how to fill a car up." He said picking up the gas, filling the tank up.

Alice brought in Cyrah and Batface. Not enough beds in this room, she lay them on the floor. "We'll get your bag back, give me a minute!" Alice stressed dashing back out to help Batman.

"Meh, if you grew up in the side of Gotham like I did, you would see my point." Robert shrugged as he slid underneath the door of the bus and picked the lock. "Though, hot wiring a bus could be a bit tough." he muttered and looked a Luis and Levi. "You guys know your way around a vehicle?" he asked and pointed to the tools.

Karmy knew that Alice could get the bag, but if Dickhead was involved in the fight, something might go wrong. Lazily, she reached down into her pocket and pulled out the only communicator she ever kept on her person at all times. She flipped on the com and pressed it to her bloody lips. "Cas..?" her voice was hoarse.

Cassius had grown to hate gotham, he really had. Every time he came here, some new fool or anothe rhad to mess with him or his family. So when he woke up to the sound of his comm going off, face down on the floor with a headache that could knock the devil off his ass, he knew it meant some villain or another needed his ass beat. He peeled himself from the ground and clopped the button for his Comm. "Hmm, yeah?" He asked groggily.

Slade was ensnared in the bolo, but he knew how to get out of them- he wasn't going to be trussed up like some swine by the likes of Batman. He grabbed the binds and quickly undid them, tossing the weapon aside. "Parlor tricks? don't dissapoint me so." He said, gloating slightly. He caught sight of why Batman used the bolo- his little chemistry set. Bingo. He didn't hesitate- he took out a pair of explosives. He chucked one at the lab table, and one at Alice as she ran in. It would be one or the other- Batman couldn't protect the lab AND Alice at the same time, and Alice was running right for the disk.....
[Man he's an ass......]

"I've been.. Shot." Karmy said in a pained voice. "Again. Don't remember what happened. But.. Alice says Slade has my bag." she stated. Having given up trying to get out of the bed, seeing as her legs were just useless by now, she looked groggily around the room. "Sarah is in here."

Alice felt her legs being wrapped together as she was running and she tripped and fell out of the explosive's way, she looked up and saw Batman running to protect the cure. She looked at her legs, wrapped in another bola batarang. "Sh*t.." She cursed under her breath and untangling the batarang. "All I needed was to hold you down for a second. It worked." Batman said standing up with the crushed explosive disk in his hand. "Back up is coming. You will be outnumbered in a minute. You sure you want to take us all on?" Batman asked giving Slade the chance to run away. Fighting Slade didn't take priority, the city did. And he had to save it from this man so they could make their way to Metropolis.

"Stop trying to justify yourself!" Bard angrily said crossing his arms. "You think just the side of Gotham is bad? Then you haven't even seen central. Crimes by the hour." Jason finished leaning on the bus. "Yeah that's where I report the most." Alaska spoke up, her eyes, closed. Head leaned back. "And not just central, you grow up in Gotham anywhere; its gonna be bad." Luis said stepping up to the plate. "I grew up in the southside. I've done buses before." he said cracking his knuckles. "Been a while though."

"Alrighty then!" Robert smiled and saluted Bard, ignoring his little temper tantrum. He was used to being scolded and treated like an idiot so he simply turned heal and approached the tools. "You Gothaminians are crazy!" Levis muttered over and over again as he played around with a wrench. He wasn't too good with tools, well, besides cleaning ones of course. Robert shut them all out as he began to work on the bus, first by sliding underneath to make sure everything was in order.

"Huh? You're not from Gotham kid?" Jason asked Levis, not really knowing his name.

Since Levis was sort of a villain, none to notorious or infamous of course, he restrained from using his real name. Or his villain name for that matter. "Well sir, I'm 36 so I'm a good stone throws away from 'kid'." he huffed. "And nah, grew up in Steel City. Don't ask me how I came to be in Gotham, not that anyone really knows how they came to this city in the first place." he tapped the wrench against the work table. "Oi! Anyone have any adhesive? The muffler has a crack in it." Robert called out from under the bus.

"If you want glue we'll have to go back into the mall; but right now I think you'll have to improvise. We got nothing here." Jason said his arms still crossed. "Damn, we're not gonna make it out alive in this piece of junk. If we do make it out alive they gonna kill me first. Black guy always goes first." Luis said fiddling his fingers now and sitting down.

"Anything sticky would help!" Robert grunted. "Duct tape? Come on guys, can't get anywhere without patching this up a bit." Levis walked over and leaned next to Luis. "Probably not, the skinny, paranoid, white nerd always goes first. Or the funny guy, and sorry man, but you aren't that hilarious."

Jason facepalmed and let out a sigh. "In the mall Bay, its all in the mall. We don't have nothing here, look around you!" He said waving his hands at the empty garage. "Man shut up! You callin' yourself funny? You can't make no one laugh!" Luis pouted.

"Well the give me your belt, dammit!" Robert slid out form under the bus. "Look, if we our belts, add some axle grease," he pointed to a small can of it on the table. "And a shirt, I can patch it up real easy." he took of his belt and held it in his hand. "Then all we gotta do is paint something awesome on the front like 'Zombie Slaughter Bus' or... 'Zombie Sweeper'... Or something like that. Then we'll be set!"

"I'm not saying I'm the funny guy!" Levis retorted.

"Fine, but I get to call it what I want. Zombie Slaughter Bus is stupid." Jason said taking off his overshirt and handing it to Robert. "Call it something unique." Alaska said her eyes still closed.

"Haha, I think that cop over there is pretty funny, you think he'll die?" Luis asked getting back to work on hotwiring the bus.

"Your stupid!" Robert said playfully and collected everyone else belts. After doing a quick patch up on the muffler and reinforcing the doors and windows, Robert found a can of paint and a half empty spray paint. Holding them up to Bard, he said, "All yours Mr. Picasso."

Levis shrugged, "Cops usually don't die till like, later in the zombie movies. If they die at all of course."

Bard wrote EVIL DEAD on the side of the bus. "You watch zombie movies right?" Jason asked.

"Yeah, but they all die." Luis said.
