"I've checked twice already. I'm clean. Will you be okay there Bay?" Jason asked Robert. "Hey! No one asked if I'll be okay! Well y'know what? I won't! Thank you very much! Y'all know the black guy's gonna die first so you guys don't care, do you?!" Luis barked at everyone causing another uproar. "Shut up before you attract everyone from the other buildings." Bard yelled back. "Hey! Who's gonna carry me if we do get attacked from up here?" Alaska asked.

What seemed like forever Batman finally came in. "Hopefully this is the last one. If it is we'll mass produce it immediately." Batman assured Alice as he injected the antidote into Karmy.

"I.. Care." Levis said to Luis. Though he would never admit it, Luis had become like a friend to the little villain. "Either Bard or me would carry you ma'am." Robert stood up and looked over the edge of the roof. "Chees and rice!" he suddenly ran from the edge of it. "Do not look down there." he said, pointing to where he just was.

So close but yet so far. As soon as the drugs entered her blood stream, Karmy's heart rate spiked and she started having a seizure. If the toxin had been ingested.. Wouldn't that mean the antidote would be too? Her body convulsed violently and she fell out of Alice's grasp, it seemed as if she would swallow her tongue and choke.

[*raises finger* uh..... I have the morning off, but.... do I just jump in, or what?]

As zero heard Karmy screaming bloody murder beside him, he knew that no good was happening. But psycho- zombies had to look out for each other, right? Although his vision was nothing but a screen of black, he could still hear just fine, and his powers were still working also. He generated a red energy sphere and slung it to where he estimated Alice to be......

Cyrah waited

and waited

and waited

But she could only wait so long before going stir crazy. Which inevitably happened. "That is IT! I'm not going to sit here on my shiney metal ass while Sherlock Bat plays with his chemistry set, experimenting on Karms and my brother!" She began to fume. "But what do YOU suppose we do? Without a cure, there isn't much option besides patie-" "Don't yack to me about PATIENCE!" Cyrah said, interupting Batface's resoning. "People- good people- are getting eaten alive out there by these insane cretins! A ROCK could think up something better then sitting on our asses and twidling our thumbs!" She shouted back. Batface stood over her, casting a menacing shadow down on her. "And what, hm? Go out and save them? Fight the richeous fight, take down the infected without killing them? The whole CITY is gone to hell- what hope do you have of saving these people alone!?" Dent barked back with force. Cyrah slunk back into her chair.

'What hope do you have of saving these people alone?' The words continued to ecoh in Cyrah's mind. He was right- she didn't have a hope in hell out there. The crazies would overpower her out there, she didn't stand a chance. "But.... then what? How can we just si-" She suddenly felt a blunt impact upside her head, KO-ing her quickly........

Slade Had no trouble KO-ing Cyrah and doing likewise with an unsuspecting Batface and too-slow-to-react Cassius. He considered killing them all right here and now, but none of them were his target. He stealthily made his way further into the Batbunker, recalling the twists and turns he took when he stole some antidotes for Mame the other day......

[I'm assuming Slade is able to knock them out because he's in his robot..]

"Alice watch out!" Batman yelled, Alice looked up and was hit by the red energy blast letting her grip of Karmy go, "Argh!" Alice grunted as she hit the wall opposing. "I thought you knocked him out!" Batman said, "He must have woke up." Alice coughed shaking her head. "What's missing in the antidotes?!" She continued to demand as she tried to recapture Karmy and Batman tried to calm Zero down. "No idea, I have to keep testing!"

"Y'know I'm gonna look anyway." Bard said resting his right foot on the ledge. "Damn... Are they all converging on our spot? It looks like we won't have much of a chance up here." Jason said looking at their small arms. A submachine gun or two, handguns, a .22 sniper rifle... Not a lot. "Also Bay, I'm carrying Ms. Flowers, I feel responsible for shooting her leg." He whispered to Bay.

"You want to screw her don't ya man?" Robert winked at Bard.

"After you wanna screw Karmy." Bard laughed, looking at Bay, he nearly winked back. He pulled out a box of cigarettes and popped one in his mouth. "Want one?" He asked. "Yo man, it doesn't matter, we're all gonna die here!" Luis said looking over the edge, "Especially me, I-" He interrupted himself when he saw a bottle by a vent. "PILLS HERE!!!" He yelled happily at the top of his lungs.

"Haha spaz." Robert laughed and took a cigar. "Might as well since the world is 'ending'." but then he remembered what Bard had said. "Hey I don't wanna screw her man! You've never met her before so shut it!"

"Guess you're not the softie after all." Bard chuckled as he took out his lighter and lit Bay's cigarette. "And I do not need to meet her to see that look in your eyes to tell that you want her. C'mon man, you know you do." He said shooting smoke out of his nose. Over the laughter and screaming, over the fires and car sirens going off, over the blood curdling screams of terror, this was actually a pretty decent night.

"No, not yet! Cant I get to know her more before I get a home run!? Sheesh.." Robert huffed and took a drag of the cig. He had smoked in high school but gave up before joining to police academy. "What now man..?" he asked as he gazed at the burning city.

"She'll wake up." Ivy reassured Nicole, trying her best to sound confident. John wouldn't ever hurt Luna on purpose, not in his right mind. But the fact he wasn't at the moment made her unsure.

The rock began drifting loftily through the air towards Wayne Manor. The heroine whistled, taking in all the damage the crazies were doing. "Can we save a city when there's not much left to save?" She asked, watching one car erupt into flames while everyone else gave a chorus of cheers.

Knightmare stumbled into the gun shop, still cackling at her wound. Her hands were stained crimson again, with her own blood. It made her smile. "Blood is such a pretty color..." She mumbled, observing her hands. She glanced back over at all the weapons around her. Surely, one would be of use. The crazed woman began grabbing whatever gun fit into her pocket.

[yeaaaaaaaaaaaah, work. Slade is up to no damn good, as per usual, And zero is apt to blast Batman in his blind, crazed stupor.]

"I don't really know. I guess we really are going to die tonight. I mean look bellow you, and the door; they're banging at the door. The next building over is too far of a hop." Bard sighed, smoke billowing from his mouth. "Hey can I get one?" Alaska asked. "Oh of course Ms. Flowers." Bard said offering Alaska a cigarette. She took it politely as Jason lit the smoke. "Enjoy it while you can." Bard suggested.

"Like I said before, I could reeeeaaaallllyyy go for a drink right now." Robert sighed and took another drag. "Wish we had some sort of vehicle that we could use as a bulldozing device.. Like a bulldozer. Or something..." he thought out loud.

Karmy lay on her side near Zero, her eye's were closed but she was still awake and twitching from the after effects of the seizure.

"Dead Reckoning." Jason thought. "That zombie truck from Land of the Dead?" Alaska asked going along with the little zombie talk Jason started. "Well I saw those a city bus that drives to the mall here. We could use the Gauze as a rope and take us back to the top floor and we can work out way down to the city bus." Jason pondered. "Do we have enough gauze?" Luis asked his arms crossed, "Cause I aint goin' down first."

Zero kept throwing bright red energy blasts at Batman, he had to knock him out. He was probably more dangerous blind than not, Batman spun around and spine tapped him. Zero was out cold. "You have Karmy?" Batman asked limping out back to his work. "I have her. Hurry up with another formula." Alice urged. "I'm on it. Don't worry."

"Oh no no no, you ARE going down first!" Levis said, raising his goggles to his forehead. "You're the bigger man so that means you can anchor us down and or catch us!" he argued, obviously not wanting to go through with this plan. Robert ignored the two and looked at the first aid kit. "Yeah we have enough, and I worked in a auto shop after high school so I think I know my way around a bus. Shouldn't be too hard.." he pondered.

Karmy twitched as short, choked breaths escaped her lungs. Dark circles rimmed her blood shot eyes as she stared half lidded at nothing. Every so often a giggle or a soft scream would sound, sweat beaded her face. The seizure had worn her out, physically and emotionally.

"How about dis, I hold the gauze and the skinniest person goes down and frees up the door?" Luis suggested obviously not wanting to go down. "Think about it, we don't know how strong this gauze is, I could snap it!" He argued.

Batman sat down looking over chemicals and liquids. He took a sigh, he tried nearly every possible combination that won't kill them. The table stretch was rather vast, he plucked several liquids and shook it around for a bit. Sighed. Put it back. He looked at a sheet of paper attacked with ink and his writing. Time was wasting, he had to work fast.

Red X gazed at the large electromagnetic field generator in awe. "Whoa.. Bigger than I thought." He said getting to work and unplugging some chords. He flipped open the cheap go-phone and dialed Thorne's number. "Where did you want me to drop off your hunk of metal?" He asked trying to figure out how he'd push this wherever Thorne wanted in the middle of all the crazies.

"Then why doesn't he go down!?" Levis pointed to Bard. "He's heavier than me and lighter than you so it all works out!" Meanwhile, Robert was working on unrolling the tape and gaze, turning it into something climbable. "Bard, we're so getting a drink after this!" he was getting a headache from the two arguing men.

Her twitching became less frequent but her breathing was still irregular along with her heart rate. She started mumbling and laughing about something.

"Oh you know it. Drinks on me." He said standing up from talking to Alaska. "What's your name?" Jason asked the big barley black man. "Luis, Luis Bear." He said. "Okay, Luis; I'm counting on you to hold this rope, okay?" Jason instructed. "You got it sir." He responded. "Okay, I'm going to take out the door and free it up, you guys come from the stairs are we clear? I'm the only one going down the gauze. How's it coming Bay?"

Batman walked into the room slowly. "I think this is it..." He said. "You sure?" Alice asked desperately. "I'm sure of it." He said squirting the syringe full of an odd colored liquid. He bent down to inject Karmy with the antidote, then a foot came crashing down on Batman he grunted and the glass syringe clanked on the floor. Thankfully it didn't break. Alice snatched it before the same foot crunched it. "Slade!" Batman grimmaced. "Ah, if it isn't the Batman." He said in his usual calm voice, as if he were surprised to see Batman in the Batcave. "Man how does everyone sneak in here?" Alice asked, she was in charge of the security and had a deep concern that more people could break in at any moment. "You act surprised Malice." Slade shot back. "Get out. Now." Batman sneered. Alice quickly injected the antidote into Karmy's neck while the men were busy in conversation.

"Everything's all good here Bard!" Robert said, throwing an end of the makeshift rope over the building. "C'mon Luis." he waved him over and They both held onto the other end of the rope. Bard got into position and Robert nodded at him. "I'll see ya on the flipped side, man." he saluted him, making the scene cheesy as hell.

"Where am I?..." Karmy was drifting in and out of consciousness again. Her head lolled lazily back and forth as she tried to focus and stay awake. Laughs no longer came from her lungs and her eye's no longer blazed with insanity. Her vision distorted and fuzzy, she looked up and the blurred figure that hovered over her. "What's going on?..." her own voiced sounded distant in her head. She could not understand the person above her, their voice was muffled. Trying to get up, she found her whole body to be weak and a white hot pain shot through her legs her sight darkened again for a few moments, as all she could hear was her own heartbeat. When she woke up again, the world seemed to rush by as she felt herself being held by a strong pair of arms. "Bag.." was the only word that she could say, referring to Casey's bag.

Bard nodded and repelled down smashing into the window bellow. When Bard was out of earshot Luis decided to speak up. "Damn, you just made that scene cheesy as hell."

Inside, Bard was greeted by several crazies, he knew he would regret it later but it was quicker, easier, and more efficient to kill them. He rationalized in his head that they were assailants bent on killing him, and it was part of his duty to neutralize them. He finally made his way to the door to the roof and unlocked it. "C'mon we gotta move. Quick!"

"Oh my god..." Tears streamed down Alice's eyes as she embraced her friend. "It worked! Batman the antidote worked!!" She cried out in joy squeezing Karmy tightly. "Oh god, Karmy I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.." She continued to weep. "Batman..! Does Slade have Karmy's bag?" She asked. "Not now Alice!!" He said engaging in combat with Slade.

"Hold on miss." Robert picked up Alaska and started to run. Luis and Levis both had guns that he had given them and they were firing like madmen at any crazy that approached them. They had terrible aim though and previous rounds were wasted whenever they missed their targets.

Karmy was limp in Alice's grasp but she was still awake. "Alice..?" she asked groggily. "What..." everything was still a tad muffled and her vision swam greatly. "I... Hurt.." she whimpered. "Bag..?"

"Where's the bus Bay? You lead the way! Let's switch!" Jason said offering his guns to Robert so he could carry Alaska. He felt an urge to, she was pretty famous around Gotham, still; butterflies flew in his stomach.

"Slade has your bag, Batman's getting it back." Alice said picking Karmy up and hauling her out. "We have to get you to the medic, you're beaten up badly." Alice felt her heart drop saying that. You're the one who beat the snot out of her you idiot.

Robert gladly switched with Jason and held the guns in his hands. "Keep you head down, this is gonna get rough!" he shouted as they ran through the mall. Almost every crazy they came across was taken down before it could even attack them. Whenever someone would run out, the others would cover them until they reloaded. Occasionally, when the situation called for it, hand to hand combat was used, mainly by Robert or Luis. Even Levis took out a few crazies on his own. Eventually, they reached their destination and Levis and Luis shut the garage door nice and tight. "Alright guys," Robert panted. "Let's rest and then get to work."

For all Karmy could remember, Slade was the one who beat her to a pulp. She didn't recall ever being a crazy or what she had said to Alice or what she had done. "I.. Can't leave.. it.." Karmy wanted to go back and get her bag back. "I made a promise.. Alice." she looked up at her, trying her hardest to stay awake.
