The Darkest of Knights

The Joker shrugged. "Im a different Joker. And oh well, but I'm sure you killed many other's. You've got that killer instict inside of you." he slowly rached into his back pocket, never breaking eye contact. "I saw what you did to you, "best friend". I gotta hand it to ya kid, I was impressed. Even though you knew shewasnt in her right state of mind, you still shot 4times!" he laughed. "If that's what you do to you friends, I can't wait to see what you do to me." he grinned and tossed the lit Zippo into the stream of gasoline that lead to the explosves.

She couldn't let that happen, she couldn't let The Joker destroy the viaduct. Alice jumped on the flame just before it reached its destination. Thank god for fireproofing the suit. Alice slowly emerged from the flames. "I won't allow you to get away with this." She said hatefully. Alice had to set her emotions aside. She had to.

"Oooo, nice scene." Joker laughed and rugby tackled Alice. Pinning her to the ground, he reached over to utility belt and pulled out her knife. She was still struggling to push him off, despite the fact that he easily out weighed her, so he quickly back handed her, sending her into a daze. "Oh no shh shh.." he grabbed her face stuck the knife in her mouth, not cutting her. Not just yet anyways. "You wanna know how I got these scars?"

"You see, when I was in high school, I was a... A geek. I didn't have any friends and I was constantly picked on, getting beat up was a daily ritual. I was, of course, single. I had never had a girlfriend, but, like every guy, I couldn't help but notice the popular girls. I'm a guy, what else am I supposed to do?!" he leaned forward a little more, getting closer to her face. "One day, I was just hanging out in the quad by myself, when the most popular girl in the whole entire school, Jenny Benchley, walked up to me. She said hi and asked if she could sit with me. Being the geek that I was, I stumbled around nervously to clear off the table of all my pokemon cards. She giggled and sat down. "I like your smile." she told me."

He gave the knife a small twist, not enough to cut Alice, but enough to sting. "A week later, we were the talk of the school. Why would someone like Jenny be dating someone like me!? For months, this went on. I was a guy in love, and she was too apparently. I thought she would be the one, and after I got to 4th base with her, I knew for sure she was." he licked his lips. "The year rolled on, and soon it was the time of year when prom came upon the school. Jenny as my date, we danced the night away at the prom. I was so lost in her eye's that I didn't even notice that I had been chosen as Prom King!"

He twisted the knife again. "Oh how naive I was..." he had drawn a little blood this time. "As I stepped on stage, a bucket of glue was dumped on me, followed by feathers. Everyone started laughing at me, yelling 'Chicken King' and pointing. Jenny placed the crown on my head, laughing her head off. "Smile for me, Chicken King!" she laughed." he started to laugh. "A week later, after having not been to school for a few days, I was waiting in the quad. Jenny came out with her real boyfriend. They greeted me as Chicken King and I stabbed her boyfriend with a large kitchen knife. I approached her as she screamed." he twisted the knife again. "I push her down and sat on her. 'So, you like my smile, do ya?' I put the small blade in my mouth. Do you like it now?!' and I make these." he ran showed off his scars again. "Blood dripping onto her face, I grabbed her head. 'Do you like it now!?' and I smashed her head in!!!"

(mehh...)

"You mean like this?" A voice came from behind and suddenly the Joker was hit by a large solid obeject to his head and Alice's arms was free, she quickly grabbed the knife and pulled it from her mouth and yanking it from the Joker's hand, the sound of the large object clanged on the concrete viaducts and splashed in the water. Alice kneed upward at The Joker's chest and pushed him off. She got up to see who saved her, she could have swore it was Batgirl when she looked up Raven stood her hands on her hips. Oh well, its easy to get their voices mixed up for some reason. "Raven... Where the hell were you all this time?" Alice asked. "I was hiding from plain view, after Batman was caught I couldn't risk getting caught either." Raven explained. "Look, there's no time," Alice said unclipping a grenade and tossing it to Raven; "here, catch!"

"What do you expect me to do with this?!" Raven asked tossing it back to Alice. 10.
"Just hold on to it for a second!" Alice said throwing it back. 7.
"What do you mean? I'm no good with this!" Raven used her powers to catch the grenade and give it back to Alice. 4.
"No! I can't hold on to it! Hey!" Alice noticed the Joker was getting up. 2. "Catch!" Alice said throwing the grenade at the Joker.

[Karmy, your Joker is scarier then my Slade by far.......]

Slade dragged himself into the building Thorne had told him to. As he did he noticed Red-X, and died a little on the inside. What was this, the day every pain in his ass came for a reunion? All he needed was for Terra to shove him in a volcano and the day would be complete. He approached Red-X. "Evening, Red-X." He snarled. "I'm cutting to the chase- the machine. NOW." He said, obviously not wanting to be here.....

Cassius didn't wait to use the antitodote on all infected parties- Zero, John and WIntergreen. As Zero was KOed by the sleeping efects (I think it had sleeping effects), Cass ploped him down on a bed. "Dammit. And the Bats just ran off to a fight without me. Those assholes, they- where did they go?" He said, refering to Batface and Sarah.

Whom, by the way, emerged from the Batbox into the cold morning air. "So, what made you change your mind about going into the city?" Sarah asked Twoface, arming her cannon and looking around. "Nothing, I still say this is a dumb idea. I just can't stand all that yacking in there." He said, pulling his remaining .45. Sarah looked around. "First things first, we ought to find Miss Mau- she took off first, and by herself, who knows what she might have run into." Batface recomended. Sarah nodded, and the two took off towards the city......

Batman stormed out, "Cassius! Do you know where Barbara went? Did you see her come out of the medical bay?" He asked approaching him, "I can't leave without knowing she's safe."

Red X got up. "You're the guy who's picking up this hunk of junk?" He asked looking at it. "Go ahead, I don't care take it off my hands for a good price." He smirked.

Raven and Alice hit the deck, taking cover from the grenade, Raven sent up an energy field just in case.

Joker dove to the right, out of the direct way of grenade but he was still caught in the blast. His body was thrown forward with such force, he nearly fell into the viaducts, if it hadn't been for the wall of course, which he was slammed into. Crumpling to the floor, he tried his best to regain his senses. After a few moments, he looked up the see Alice and Raven standing over him. "Well done." he wheezed out with a laugh. "Every Joker needs a Bat, I guess you're it blondie." he grinned up at her. He held up a white handkerchief and waved it in surrender. "Think you can handle play time?" he of course meant later on. He knew he was beat, for now.

"Not my day to be the Batkeeper, I thought she was with you." Cassius grumbled as he headed for the exit. A bunch of kids doing the fighting while he debated with Batman didn't sit right with him.

Slade crossed his arms. "'Good price,' eh? Ok...... I WON'T pry it from your severed arms. Now give it here." Slade beconed. He wasn't in the mood to play. He wanted to get the thing and just go.

Batman grumbled and got into the elevator to go to the 5th level of the Batcave. He walked to the Bat-tank when he realized the Batmobile was missing. "Oh sh*t!"

"Haha, very funny pops, but I'm waiting for a buyer, not a thief, so beat it!" He said pulling out several knives in defense.

"Any time Joker, you're messing with the White Knight of the Bats." Alice said crossing her arms. Raven used several metal tools bars and wrapped The Joker in them with her powers. "What type of grenade was that anyway?" Raven asked intrigued. "Force Grenade, its totally non-lethal to begin with." Alice responded walking over to the explosives to disarm them when a sword stabbed the ground in front of them.
"What the-?"
"I sense a blood lust nearby." Raven said. "Keep on your toes."
You sure that just isn't the Joker?" Alice asked.
"No... This is stronger."

"I was sent by my employer for that. Give it over- I'm not in the mood for your kid's games." Slade said, his hand drifting towards his staff. He could take a Red-X. He dealt with this suit in the past, he knew how it worked. But whoever was in the suit didn't recognize him- a plus for Slade. Poor sucker didn't know who he was messing with.

[Hey Mercy, is that a cue for Ra's?]

[Could be Ra's or Rose, either doesn't matter.]

Red X took a step forward in fighting stance "Where do you want me to snap your neck?" Red X asked. "I take requests." Just then the Batmobile stopped in front of the warehouse and Batgirl leaned out. "Get away from him!!" She shouted at Slade.

Slade sneered at Batgirl. "Back for more? Your wounds haven't begun to heal, and you rush to fight me recklessly. Idiot woman." Slade said. he didn't even register Batgirl as a threat. But if Batgirl was here, he knew this was a damn fool's errand- If Batgirl was here, the Batmob would be in close tow, and he could'nt take another fight with them again. He had to wrap this up quick, and if Red-X was chummy with Barbara, he would milk that. He swarmed to the open window as quickly as he could and vaulted his foot into Barbara. If he could distract X, he would swipe the device and be on his way........

Sarah and Batface are on the streets, following the route they think Alice took...

"You bats need to communicate better." Cassius said as he headed out. No helmet- in other words, no Comm. He still had a big ugly green paint splat on him, but he couldn't bother with that right now. He clambored into THe old model Batmobile and reved it to life, preparing to take off......

[so...... you want me to take Rose?]

"Put the pedal to the metal, quickly." Batman said hopping in. "We'll be back shortly Robin! We have to save Babs!" he said closing the cockpit of the Batmobile, sitting in the passenger seat. Just like old times. "Use the GPS navigation to track the new Batmobile, we'll get there faster." He said.

Batgirl took the blow in the chest and fell back into the seat of the batmoblie she was riding. "Augh! Uhh.." She groaned leaning back. Red X blinked as if he didn't know what just happened. "Hey are you okay?" Red X called not bothering to get up from his spot.

[Either way is fine.. also the EMG is huge o-o]

[I know, But Slade's robo suit ought to be able to bear the weight if Red-X can]

Slade was a bit disgruntled. He was expecting red-X to take the bait. TIme to for some goading. "Asking a woman a nearly beat to death the other night if she is ok? Are you stupid, or just playing?" Slade taunted, hoping to goad Damian into rushing him and he stood atop the Batmobile.

"Yes daddy, I've NEEEEEVER tracked a car before." Cassius replied to Batman, rolling his eyes. "Miracle your batlove could get up so quickly after the hammering Slade gave her the other night. You bats are either suicidal or crazy. Probably a bit of both." Cassius remarked as the Batmobile blasted out of the garage and onto the road.

[I suppose Rose]
Rose Wilson emerged from the shadows of the sewers, retreiving her Katana. "You didn't think a clown was the only thing in these sewers, didja'?" Rose said, whirling the blade like a propeler and going into a fighting stance.

"Ah, I can care less for Bat-whatever." Red X said leaning against the EGM. He could hear a "F*ck you Damian!" From outside the warehouse, he yawned and drowned out the rest of Batgirls screaming. "I came all this way and risked my ass for you and you don't even help me?!" She continued to scream as she was pinned by Slade's foot.

"Just shut the hell up and drive." Batman said crossing his arms. "The faster we do this the faster we save the city." He said eyeing the GPS. They were close...

"Oh crud its the chick from last week. What do you want?" Alice asked sighing. "Keep on your toes! She looks dangerous!" Raven warned. "She didn't seem much of a threat last time." Alice scoffed.

Joker looked between Alice and Rose. "Looks like it's the congregations of Slades!" he laughed. "I should give your master a call." he said to Alice.

As Cyrah and Batface were going down the road, Robert drove by them in his tricked out bus, Luis, Alaska, Bard and Levis still in the back. He pulled up next to them and threw the doors open. "Wanna lift?" he asked out to them.

Rose glared at Joker. "Call my father? You mock me- I'll get you next. But first-" She shifted her ice cold glare to Alice. "You say I'm not a threat. But you're the one that needs to make a commando operation just to get one clown." She said, eyeballing Raven quickly. "If anything YOU aren't the threat, GI Jane." She mocked, drawing her second Katana.
[Remember, she is operating under the beleive that her father is still dead]

Slade's face lit up. The only Damian that would have a connection to the Bats that he knew of was...... "Red-X is Damian Wayne!? Thank you Miss Gordon, that tidbit was too generous!" Slade said estatically. Now he knew how to turn the tides. Wayne was raised by the order led by His Grandfather, Ra's Al Ghul. He understood only one type of threat- pain wasn't enough. He roughly hauled Barbara out of the Car and ploped her on the gorund- and pressed his foot to her face- hard. "Boy, give me the generator, or explain to Greyson why he had to scrape his woman's brains-

Cyrah initialy wanted to soil her armor at the sight of a bus full of cops- that kind of 'interogation' from earlier didn't leave her memory so easily. But this was different- she trusted Robert, and she wasn't bound, she could take them. And besides, she had Dent on her side also if the heat turned on. "Sure, wait up." She called, and clambored on board with Batface.

"Don't tell me to shut up in my own car!" Cassius snorted. But nonetheless, he did quieet down and followed the GPS to the outside of the Warehouse.

"Ooohhh I felt that burn from all the way over here." Joker laughed, still tied up.

"Welcome aboard Miss and Mister!" Roert saluted them and shut the door. Levis suddenly recognized Cyrah, having seen her when he stole Alice's pants. He walked to the back of the bus and sat down, hiding his face. "So miss?" Robert looked back as Cyrah as he drove. "What's been going on with this whole crazy people deal?"

"So you're Slade's daughter huh? White hair at such a young age? Must be really stressful for you, being that madman's daughter." Alice said picking up the katana that had landed in front of her and tossing it to Rose. "Raven, my orders are to protect the viaducts, she doesn't look like she wants to destroy them so keep a look out while I'm busy with Slade Jr." She said. "Right I'm on it. If you need help just call me." She said vanishing. "Won't be necessary." Alice said under her breath, she drew her dual submachine guns, MP5k, a gift from Jamie. Two trained assassins, one with dual blades, the other with firearms. Who would come out the victor?

Batgirl screamed in agony her legs were flailing behind her and her good hand was trying to push Slade's food off her head. Blood began to spill out of her mask, her head felt like it was being cracked from the inside out, tears mixed with blood ran down her cheeks as she continued to scream. "Fine you can have the damn thing! Just shut her up!" Red X said covering his ears from Batgirl's bawling.

The Batmobile drove up to the scene, Batman saw Slade stepping on Batgirl, a pool of blood forming at her head. "Sonova-!!" He forced open the cockpit door without the vehicle coming to a complete stop. He jumped out and dashed at Slade, kicking him off. "Don't lay another finger on her Slade!" he threatened drawing his staff and on one knee and using his other hand to curl Batgirl close to him.

"Yeah can any of you tell us why the city is being overrun by zombies?" Jason asked, "This is just too crazy for television." Alaska muttered her head banging against the window. "What are we doing? Going around to look for survivors? Fill up the bus?" Luis asked.

"Tch, b*tch." Rose spat. "You claim my father was such a madman. If he was, would he have helped your ungrateful ass off the streets? I mean honestly, would you have lasted one winter by yourself?" Rose said, her face controted by sheer resentment. She crossed her blades in a fighting stance, ready to attack at the drop of a hat.....

Slade had a billion different insults in his arsenal right now, but he was beyond caring. He simply wagged off what Batman said and approached the generator. He didn't know if Damian would go back on giving up the generator, but again, Slade was past caring right now.

"Some new bozo joker, he made some kind of Zombie stuff in the food. That's about as far as I know, the Bats should have it handled soon." She said with a shrug. She knew the Bats would have it handled, as was the norm......

Twoface is just standing on the bus, seeming to suck out all of the life nearby with those stone cold faces.......

Cassius saw Slade. He wanted to run him over with the Batmobile REALY bad, but he had to keep it running for when Batman inevitably wanted to get medical care for Barbara at the drop of a hat. Again, he felt cheated out of a fight with Slade.....

"True, I would have died the week of, but his intentions were of selfish motives; you know that more than I do. If you want to fight over your father's honor that's pretty low. I think if you still even want to see that man after what he did in Jump City, that's offensive." Alice said pacing around with her fingers on the triggers.

Batman saw Red X guard the EGM, "Red X! What's that for?! Where did you get that and where have you been?!" He demanded. "I'm saving this for.. for someone! I can't let Slade take it! It's an-" "An Electromagnetic Field Generator, I know! What are you doing with it?" Batman asked picking Batgirl up. He looked behind him. "F*ck!" Red X yelled throwing X shaped shurikens at Slade. "Cassius, help us!" Batman asked running with Batgirl in his arms to the new Batmobile.

Rose squinted. "True, he was crass, cruel, and at times barbaric to no end. But that dosen't deny the fact that he was my father- the only family I had left. Riddle me this, GI Jane- what would YOU do if someone killed Batman, for example? Would you not strike back? Would you not feel anguish at loosing someone practically family? This isn't for his honor, I don't give a flying f*ck about that. This is about me being his daughter and him being my father!" Rose said, her face still determined detemined and her stance unchanged.

"Dammit!" Salde cursed as the Batmob suddenly geared for him. f***, this was EXACTLY what he was trying to avoid! He batted the shuriken away with his staff, but he needed something more then that for the likes of the Bats. outnumbered and outpowered. not good.

And, you know, Cassius was taking aim at him with basically an electric bazooka from one of the baddest cars in the world......

"Slade is a murderer! Don't you ever compare Batman to Slade ever again! The fact that you're sympathize with a murderer makes you his equal!" Alice sneered at Rose, she reframed from making the first move, she needed to know more about Rose before engaging in a fight. Yet, she was proabably doing the same thing.

Batman made it to the new Batmobile, before getting in he looked at her in the eyes. "Babs.. Hon. What do you think you were doing?" He asked her. "Its too dangerous for you." He said softly. "Don't treat me like some helpless little girl." Batgirl retorted. "Look at you Barbara.. You worry me sick." Batman whispered to her. "You have to save Gotham! The city is burning and you're worried about me?!" Batgirl teared. "I care about you more..." Batman admitted. "I'm ashamed that you do..." she said sadly.

Red X wasn't about to give up he pulled a knife and jabbed at the robotic body that was Slade. It rebounded off and fell out of his grip. "What the hell?" He asked.

[I'm sensing that the Wilson family is screwed.................. badly................]

"Pay attention, dipsh*t. I never said I sympathise with him or even LIKE him." Rose snorted. Hotheaded, a powderkeg ready to blow. she's armed to the teeth but she has no reign on her feelings. Rose thought. She also thought something else. I've got two Katanas. She has machine guns, goddamn MACHINE GUNS. I brought knives to a gun fight- literally.

This should be fun.

Rose gripped her swords tighter. "This yack is pointless- we could lecture each other on how dumb we think the other is, but that's not finishing anything. You act so tough, but I wonder...." In a flash, Rose was inches from Alice's face. "Can you back it up, GI Jane?" Rose slashed at Alice's guns quickly and wildly......

Slade was grateful for the distraction. As he prepared to attack, he remembered- he still had the bag! Maybe he wasn't as screwed as he thought. He plunged his hand into the bag, and retreived what appeared to be a pistol of some kind. Oh well, beggars couldn't be choosers. He didn't hesitate to open fire on Red-X, aiming for his feet to just get him to back off.

Alice sprayed rounds at Rose as she backflipped out of a dangerous slash, her flip made her land facing behind Rose, without looking she aimed both guns behind her side and sent a fury of 9mm's in Rose's general direction.

Red X fell on his face screaming wildly, cursing and trying to crawl away.
