"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Greht. I hail from the year twelve hundred and twenty two. I am known as the scourge of Chateau Deux. I seek now a way to return to my own time. I will rob, pillage, and destroy everything in my path until I have found the answers I seek."

'Man this guy never gives up' Kahna thought. "No." she said. "The city is falling apart and it doesn't need another freak tearing the place down." Kahna turned around and started to walk away, flipping her knife. This wasn't her problem. It wasn't like she could transport or anything. Let him deal with it.

"NAVE, I WOULD EXTIRPATE THEE FROM THIS WRETCHED EARTH THIS MOMENT WERE IT NOT FOR THIS ACCURSED LIGHT! I HAVE AN ARTIFACT TO FIND, AND I SENSE IT'S PRESENCE IS NEAR. I HAVEN'T THE TIME FOR YOU PEASANT! FOR NOW, MY MASTER BIDS ME ELSEWHERE." *A dark portal opened up behind him and he bagan to turn around.*

Kahna turned around quickly and threw the knife into the leather strap on his armor. 'This just might be more interesting then that steak' she thought. "Wait for me." Kahna walked up to the tall man and pulled the knife from his shoulder, polished it on her sleeve, and stuck it back in her pocket. She put her hands on her hips and motioned towards the portal, looking at him expectantly.

"Well Mercy. That was so long ago." Karmy said sullenly "As you can see, I'm no longer considered a 'teen' anymore." she said as Mercy and her headed inside.

"WHAT IS THIS? YOU SEEK TO ACCOMPANY ME? TELL ME NOW, DO YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE? I SENSE MUCH DISPARRAGE AND HATRED IN YOUR EYES. YOU FOLLOW ME, AND YOU SELL YOUR SOUL TO THE DARK DEPTHS. IF YOU ONLY KNEW WHAT AWAITED YOU BEYOND DEATH, YOU WOULD ABANDON ALL YOU HOLD DEAR..."

Artanis was sitting on the coast of Gotham City, sharpening his blade, and pondering his future. Suddenly, the sound of screams echoed in his ear, and he was off.
He heard cries from below such as, "If only Batman were here," or "Who killed Bruce Wayne!?" and he immediately made his way to Wanye Manor.
However, on his way, he saw two women standing atop a building, dressed in strange, non-civilian attire. He landed and asked, "What the hell happened to this place?"

'What the hell is this guy talking about' Kahna thought. She rolled her eyes and said "Too late." Then she grabbed his arm and walked toward the portal.

There, in a desolate cave Greht stood with Kahna. Deep and dark, he uttered "COME HITHER, LOOSE ME AND YOU SHALL BE LOST." He proceeded deep into the cave, until they reached a stony altar. "WHY HAVE YOU FOLLOWED ME? NO, IT MATTERS NOT. SOON YOU WILL MEET MY DEMON MASTER AND HE SHALL PASS JUDGEMENT UPON YOU. HIS OMNISCIENCE IS BOUNDLESS."

Jake eyed the man. He was obviously a mercenary of some sort. "I just...one second, I was being crushed by some machine, and next, I'm a guy made of lightning! Any info, help, etcetera?"

"Karmy! Get back here!" Mercy looked oddly at the strangely dressed man. "The Batman is dead. He apparently is Bruce Wayne.. we're trying to.. who the hell are you?" Mercy stuttered.

'Blah, bla, blah, bla, blah. All this guy does is talk...maybe this wasn't such a good idea.' Kahna thought. But speaking of demons, she drew out a small but sharp fixed blade and so Kahna followed Greht into the ever darkening cave.

"TELL ME, WHAT DOTH YE EXPECT TO GAIN FROM THY JOURNEY? WHAT DOTH YE SEEK MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE? WHY HATH THOU FOLLOWED ME?"

'Why doth this guy keep asking me questions?!' Kahna thought. She shrugged her shoulders and hoped he would leave her alone till they reached where ever they were headed. She started flipping the knife to keep her hands busy.

"WHEN I SPEAK, YOU WOULD DO WELL TO RESPOND." exclaimed Greht

Kahna stuck out her tongue. 'Take that as a response' she thought as they continued walking down the really long, dark tunnel.

"So that's why the city's a mess.." Artanis thought to himself
"Oh apologies, miss; allow me to introduce myself: I am Artanis. I live to serve the righteous and punish the wicked. And just who might you two be?"

Karmy walked up behind Mercy, "So.. What can you do?"

"HAH, THOU SHALT KNOW ALL SOON ENOUGH..."
They both entered a chamber and began to approach a stone altar. Greht kneeled
"What is they bidding my master?"
*From the dark depths echoed a powerful demonic voice "WHO IS THIS YOU HAVE BROUGHT?"
"Kahna my leige, she seeks purpose."

"BAGH! THESE MORTALS DO VEX ME. KAHNA, I AM GUULDRAAZI. THE CRYSTALS, I HAVE LOCATED THEM. TWO OF THEM ARE IN THAT CITY. YOUR POWERS SHALL BE RESTORED TO YOU. AS FOR THE GIRL... WHAT SHE DOES IS OF NO CONSEQUENCE TO ME. ONE OF THEM IS IN THE MUSEUM. THE OTHER ONE IS IN WAYNE'S ESTATE. FETCH THEM BOTH, AND KILL EVERYONE IN YOUR PATH... YOUR WILDEST DREAMS WILL COME TRUE IF YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH THIS."

"Okay well to start off Artanis, we should get everything in order. It seems to be pure chaos right now.. is there anything you can do to help us?" Mercy looked at Karmy. The didn't have much time to spare. The army was there, every criminal in Gotham was out on the streets attempting to get away with murder now that The Bat was Dead.

They had to figure out how the villains got loose, who killed Batman and why, and how to get order around here.

"How about we go resupply first?" Karmy said leaning against the wall.

Arms crossed, Artanis said, "Lead the way. I think we're after the same thing."

Cara continued to walk, she had calmed down and there was just a slight, unnatural breeze that followed her. She continued to walk down the streets, not knowing, or caring, where she was going.
